Hello, I am a fan of Tranmere Rovers. In version 24.3, I noticed that the team is missing several youth academy players. I have researched extensively, and for instance, Ali Al-Hamadi, who just transferred to Ipswich Town during the winter window, spent a full three years with the club from 2015 to 2018 and should be considered a product of our academy. This information was correctly presented in previous versions, so I’m unsure why it has been altered in the new version. Moreover, the issue cannot be rectified through the editor. I hope the officials will address this and make the necessary corrections in version 24.4 to provide fans with an improved experience.

Have you got evidence to back this up please. Happy to see your extensive research on the subject. Email me.

Tranmere do not operate a youth academy in 2023/24, or at least they do not at U18 level (they may at U16s but we do not model that level).

Coleman's sacking was after data lock for CU2.

As with all your posts above, we'll look into then for FM25.

Note that you do not need to post latest news as it happens.

Maxime Biamou is missing from the game.

Understand that players who've committed a crime are set to NFE, such as Flynn Clarke, who went to Scunthorpe on loan from Norwich recently, but there's no such record of criminality for Biamou.

    Why is he missing?

He was a relatively high CA player who had had no club in 22/23, and by October 2023 had no club. Therefore, it was considered as he was no longer active as a player.

We have to tidy the database up to ensure that obsolete players who are not active re not available. In his case, we weren't to know he would finally, after 18 months at the age of 33, become active again.

  4. Fourth player in list, proof that we have it right and your claim - from the German version of transfermarkt - is again wrong:

That's two of the first four listed above that we already have right and you have wrong. How many more that you have listed will already be right?

Again I must explain that Transfermarkt is not a reliable source, and that you must provide more personal sources.

I won't post anymore corrections to your corrections, but I do hope that this proves the point.

You genuinely do not need to go through every player in the database checking their date of birth. By all means list any you find, but it is clear you are looking at every single player and you do not have to do that. Spend your time playing the game!

  5. Some of these continue to be wrong.

Elliot Osborne is 16/05/96, as we have it already set, and not a made-up date of 12/05/96 that you have posted that it "probably" is.

We need you to deal in absolute definites. If you only think that a date is "probably" different, then DO NOT POST IT. Only if you have proof, verified by the person themselves either on their own social media, or of them reacting to a story elsewhere, then I am happy to make the changes.

Osborne's birthday is hidden deep within his replies on his twitter feed = more time wasted checking data that is already right.

Going to have to insist on links to a player's own social media from now on, @Ente35.

  6. You must double-check these before postings, as I am finding too many of your claims to be plain incorrect.

The very first one you post in the opening post states that we have Fogarty's DOB wrong. You even provide a link to the BCFC website for it, where it clearly proves we have it right.

The very second one you post is about Tommy Watson. he signed a pro deal in Sept 2023, which would be impossible if he was born Oct 2006 as you claim, as he would still be 16. In the news article about his pro deal it states he is 17 already - Tommy Watson signs first professional contract - SAFC. Therefore, that's the very first two you have got wrong. Can you understand how frustrating that is, and gives me little confidence in the rest of this work?

There are more errors. Adam Mayor is reported widely everywhere as 19 on signing for Millwall, so must be 2004 not 2005. And others, but I have gone through all of these and found some to be fair, those were often where the database didn't have a date of birth at all.

It's time-consuming to go through these to find out that you are insisting we change correct info to incorrect info.

Transfermarket IS NOT A RELIABLE SOURCE so do not keep stating it. We have told you this time and time and time again.

You know you mean well, but your posts on birth dates are not helpful unless you provide TWO reliable sources, NONE OF THEM TO BE TRANSFERMARKT.

Clubs often wish players a Happy Birthday on their birthday, so that can be a reliable source. Please link to such evidence in future.

    Leyton Orient

Daniel Carter (2000273970) is listed as Dan Carter on the club website - I suggest using Daniel for his long name and Dan for his short name

Abdirahman Mahamud (2000273968) is listed as Abdi Mohamud on the club website - I suggest using Abdirahman for his long name and Abdi for his short name

(along with correcting his surname spelling)

    https://www.leytonorient.com/teams/academy

Thank you. Those names were originally listed as we have them when they joined - https://www.leytonorient.com/news/2023/july/08/2023-24-scholar-introduction-night/. But further investigation finds the use of Mohamud on several occasions, rather than Mahamud, used just twice on their club website.

I have read that post and am none the wiser, sorry.

What actual data change are you suggesting we make here, considering that Cambridge United do not have an U21 team?

  9. Cambridge do not have an U21 team. At all.

Cassidy will manage the pathways of players who are aged between 18 and 21, but that doesn't mean there is an U21 team. No football team have represented Cambridge United at U21 level at all this season. They are not in any U21 league.

I shall set Cassidy as the club's Loans Manager for the winter update.

The only data issues reported after the data lock for release cut-off of 18th October were managerial changes and major data issue fixes. Your request to amend this person on the 15th November was not considered a major (ie gamebreaking) data issue.

  10. Thank you to everyone who has posted in this thread up and until Release.

As explained earlier, the database for the Release was locked on 18th October. That is, before you saw Early Access. That date was out of our hands.

Since the 18th we have only been able to update major data issues that can be both easily changed in our 'dbc files', and also can be tested easily on all formats. So, we apologise for any issues that you have brought up that are still evident in the Release database.

We aim to fix as many issues as we can in a formal data update as soon as we can. That will include any issues already raised, and any that may be raised after Release.

In the meantime, your feedback continues to help us hugely. Thank you.
