  1. Simple terms of database, 3 divisions (premier, champ, & one). In the first year 1 team gets relegated (from champ) and 2 get promoted from bottom division. Is there a way to bypass this with maybe stages or a setting? Also to note, game thinks that the bottom division is losing teams but in the database expansion teams join in each season (if the promote/relgate works). Starting at the bottom division so technically the bottom division increases in teams after first season to 11 to 14 with promoting more/relegating less to balance the 3 divisions overtime. This error is that is stumping me at the moment. Tried to make yearly stages but doesn't let the promtion/relegation different numbers slide.
  2. Yea, I ended up trying that having the USL division being the highest spot in Continental Cup Rules. When I testing it just seemed MLS was overrulling/ignoring the rules that were set. So overall left that idea, since it's not worth trying to break the MLS with it already being hardcoded to pieces. Overall found my solution by just making a new competition and setting the MLS/USL as its parent compitions within it. That seemed to give USLC 1 to 2 CCL spots each season. The spots fluctuated for some reason seach year but overall the USL have 1 spot each season. So got it to work in some way.
  3. Thanks for the reply, didn't even think of using the Open Cup spot as a resource. I ended up finding another way to make the second tier get a CCL spot. In FM terms it made USL a div 1 leagye but I got it to work, so I'm fine with it. Found it was simpiler to just create a new competition and then added MLS & USL C to it as its parent compition. That allowed me to make both division comp level 1 and it gave USLC 1 to 2 CCL spots each year. For some reason the spots fluctuated each year but USL had 1 spot at most each season. Got it to work that way without configuring to much.
  4. For current leagues with pro/rel, it isn't worth trying to add something like this, but for North America where countires don't have pro/rel (USA,Canada, Mexico). So like adding a continental spot for like the USL C (div 2 in US), winning the league qualifies you for the CCL (North American CL) . Is that even possible to do in editor? I was testing/trying somethings changing some of the continental cup rules in other stage rules from MLS & USL to see and get it to work but really got zero results. I'm also not sure even sure that's the spot, those changes need to be or the CCL is just too hardcoded to even attempt something like this. If anyone knows if its possible or any suggestion, any help will be greatly appreciated.
  5. Is there any way to fix this? I was adding clubs to my database and noticed the jersey's are now bugged. Not sure what I select now, lol. I tested it in my USA database and just in a new editor file and they are both showing up as blank. Not sure what might be bugging it.
  6. Interesting but don't think that is the reason. Ann Arbor isn't in the USL in the edit. They are apart of the "Age Testing" league I created to test the age issues in the test edit, just picked teams at random to add. The only USA league loaded is the one I made (Age Testing League). The College division edit is the same just has D1 & D2 at the moment, nothing above or below it. So that should get priority for new players. The newgens should generate into the teams that have no players though (when I tick "Add players to playable teams"). Which basically every team in the College database would add newgens but it just adds grey players. Just seems to be the Max/Min Age permitters work/don't work depending on what you select.
  7. The problem I'm having is when I set a teams min/max age not all the time do newgens load in, depends on the numbers I set. I am ticking the "add players to playable teams", so that should make it work right? So I've created a College Division edit and all the teams have a age range of 23 (Max) to 17 (Min) as those are the typical ages of a USA College player but the newgens won't load with those age permitters (23-17). It's weird though, I downloaded someone elses NCAA College database from the workshop to see what they might have done and they have the same permitters as me (23max, 17 min) and once you load/start a save with that edit the teams fill with newgens between those ages permitters. So far I've ended up testing ages in a small test database edit I did with some random teams. This is what I got: Teams Maryland (Max 23, Min 17) Won't load newgens, just grey players FC Fredrick (Max 22 only) Won't load newgens, just grey players Ann Arbor (Min 17 only) Will load newgens FK Orlando (nothing) Will load newgens Palm Beach (Max 22, Min 18) Won't load newgens, just grey players It's weird though, as if I put a teams Max to 24 and Min to whatever, it will load newgens but won't keep it within the permitters. As I'll get a bunch of 24+ players in the team, so more then half of the team is ineligible to play then. On the Max topic for the range, I've only got numbers 24, 20 and below to work for Max. 23,22,21 all seem to not respond if they are set, just making players grey. I've rebuilt some of my teams/divisions already to track down/trace on what might be the issue preventing it but I'm not getting any errors either, so I'm not sure on what went wrong? If anyone can help out, it'll be greatly appreciated.
  8. I've created a College Soccer league and all the teams in it are set to Always Amateur. When I check off "Add Players to Playable Teams" in the advanced set up when you start a save. All the teams will populate with grey players, instead of newgen players. Some of the test divisions I made above the College League will generate newgen players in it, but this league being the bottom one seems to not generate any. It takes the College teams a few seasons to get rid of the grey players and get newgen players as the Colleges don't get youth intakes due to the age limits to play. Plus Colleges don't deal with young youth players only 17-18+ and above aged players. If anyone knows a solution to how I can get the game to generate newgen players for the college teams from the start, instead of waiting. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  9. I'm currently building a FM NCAA save and for some of the college's cities they aren't all in the fm database already. So the new cities I am making/ having to add that aren't in there, so I need to find a Attraction number 1-20. So my question is how does that number get picked or calculated. I'm guessing the number depends on the location and population of the city but just wondering how FM really decides that number is what i'm curious for.
  10. So Ludwig Field has a max attendance of 7000, in the club stadium menu. Would I have to set it up in the there as the worst and best type ratio of attendance for the min & max, and then attendance is like the base regular amount of fans that would come? I'm guessing and once I change it, that isn't perminant either. If a new stadium be built it would change these?
  11. I'll try that out! Thanks for the help then.
  12. I'm trying to add a new nation for the database, I'm creating and in Nations, there isn't a option to add new nations? Is there like a limit or something I need to do first to unlock it or am I just not looking in the right direction.
  13. I'm pretty new to using advanced rules and sort of confused currenty. Trying to take the top teams from the 4 groups and put them in a cup playoff to decide the winner of the league at the end. I've got a Stage 0 as the league and a stage 1 as the Cup. I keep getting this Error that if can't find the 8 teams, 0 are found. I've played and tried a couple of things but I'm just confused at this point.
