  1. Right now, to upgrade your training or youth facilities, you can request that the board upgrades them. This means that they receive a small upgrade, and often for a small-ish fee. However, there should be an option to build completely new facilities. This would increase the rating of the facility to increase significantly, but would take longer and cost more. Should be an option for clubs with strong financial position and/or below-average facilities
  2. Yeah. Lampard's Chelsea signed many players because of his reputation too
  3. I've found the solution. Singapore's youth intake month is in September, but I started the save in July. That meant I missed the date for the youth intake preview, which should've come in May/June. Simulating a bit more to September of the year after showed that the youth players are correctly loaded in their respective youth teams.
  4. I added new leagues and cups to an existing country, Singapore. Right now, all the newgens are created properly, but are always created as free agents. All the clubs' u18 and u21 teams do not have newgens after simulating for a year. Any idea on how to fix this? I'm completely new to the pre-game editor
  5. You are looking at it in a realistic sense, that FM is trying to predict the growth of a footballer based on factors available in real life. But this is not real life. My FM manager doesn't exist in real life, and as an extension, any player's development under my in-game manager should not attempt to EXACTLY follow real-life. My suggestion is for the ability to alter a player's career path by changing how they are developed. Perhaps you could have a 25 year old 120CA striker, who with a position change, correct man-management, good team cohesion/performance etc. become a 140CA central midfielder? It can happen IRL, so why can't it happen in-game? I understand it may not be very often, but infrequent shouldn't mean impossible. Look at Joelinton. You could make the argument that if Newcastle had not had a Saudi takeover and hired Eddie Howe, he would not be as good of a player as he is today. There were many factors in this sharp improvement. The Saudi takeover meant that he had better teammates to play around. Howe's appointment and coaching meant that he started playing a different position and role, which was much more suited to his abilities. Newcastle's league performance improved, which reduced the pressure of relegation on the entire squad. I'm also not suggesting for this feature to be overpowered to the point where you can have 20 Jamie Vardy's in your non-league to PL save. That would make any save be incredibly unrealistic and way, way too easy. PA increases should be limited to very specific situations, and many factors have to come into play for there to be a significant PA change. Such factors could include determination increases, personality changes (i.e. someone with a better personality is more likely to have this PA increase, etc.) This feature would mean that it'd incredibly unlikely for someone to replicate a Jamie Vardy, or even a Junior Messias or Edouard Mendy. But NOT impossible. I just think that this feature would make the game more fun, as you can look at at your save and think "I've managed to turn <known subpar player> into a rotational player through my coaching and tactical decisions".
  6. Yes, everyone who determines the potential of footballers are human and makes mistakes. Be it FM researchers, or IRL scouts/analysts. Shouldn't there be a feature in-game to account for this margin of error then?
  7. At the moment, contract negotiations are the only way for an offer to be sent to a player. It's not possible to send an offer to someone who has little to no interest in joining. For example, a player didn't want to join as they had no faith in my club's financial status to meet his contract demands. However, I was unable to even send him a contract offer as he did not want to negotiate at all. This would be made more realistic if I could craft a contract offer and send it to the player without negotiations. This has been done quite frequently IRL, especially with Saudi Arabian teams offering lucrative contracts to players who'd otherwise not want to join them.
  8. At the moment, players determine the team they'd like to join based mainly on their reputation and perceived CA/PA, as well as the club's reputation. However, many transfers IRL happen due to a club having a promising project, often due to an excellent manager. For example, Roma have managed to sign many top players who attribute their choice to Jose Mourinho being the coach of the club. This feature could be implemented in the form of a "Convince player to join" button. where you'd speak directly to a player to convince them of the project.
  9. It does not have to be overpowered, it can be implemented in a way that is incredibly hard to get a player's PA to increase significantly. It's just that not having this be possible at all is completely unrealistic. The current system can be kept, with this added feature that makes it possible, but very difficult to increase your player's PA. It can be based on several factors, such as morale, mentoring, training rating, match performance, playing in a certain role/position, team match performance etc. Didn't Brighton do this with Mitoma? And probably a few others like Enciso, Buonanotte, Ferguson etc. There are a few more examples, but the fact that this is possible in real life, should mean that it's possible in-game, even if it's incredibly difficult.
  10. This would have to be the case for Vardy's situation to happen in FM, which is incredibly unrealistic. I'm proposing a feature that Vardy's PA would be around 110, and due to some circumstances (good performance in matches, good training rating, playing in a preferred role, good morale etc.), his PA climbs to 160 rapidly
  11. Yes, I understand that this is the current implementation for there to be a range of PA's available. However, it does not work in the scenarios that I mentioned. There is zero possibility for player growth like Joelinton, Junior Messias, Edouard Mendy, Jamie Vardy etc. to occur in-game. Players who are in their mid to late 20s will never have that exceptional growth even if they play exceptionally well, which is quite infuriating. There's no point of this feature not being in a game that's predominantly single-player. It would improve the realism of player development and allow the game to be more immersive.
  12. I believe this is already somewhat in the game, but a reputation system for developing young players should be implemented. This would allow players to have a preference for joining a certain club/manager due to their reputation for developing young players. In practice, they could have different contract demands, such as lower wages but a release clause. (E.g. Haaland choosing Dortmund over basically every other big club) Furthermore, this could also allow clubs/managers to have a preference for loaning players to a certain club/manager. This could also extend to the style of play adopted by you, and a loaning club's preferred style of play. For example, Cesare Casadei was sent on loan to the championship because of their coach Maresca, when he had other offers from top flight european leagues.
  13. I understand this. However, if a player performs at a very high level over a long period of time, is it not fair that they would be able to improve past their PA? Another example is Joelinton, he improved drastically due to his position and role change, I find it upsetting that this is IMPOSSIBLE in the game. He even has countless attribute changes of more than +5 (iirc his tackling has gone up almost 10 points?) Yes, but eventually they will stop performing at such a level due to their attributes pulling them down. Furthermore, their transfer value/transfer interest would not be reflective of their performances. For example, Edouard Mendy would not have secured that big money move to Saudi Arabia if it were not for his few seasons of good form at Chelsea
  14. It's unreasonable for my U21 and U18 teams to always follow my selected tactic to a tee, and is completely unrealistic. It also causes some problems. For example, I have two promising youth strikers, but play with one striker as my main tactic. That means that both of those wonderkids do not get sufficient game time up front, which hinders their development. It would be beneficial if youth teams actually followed the preferences of their managers and coaches, which would place more importance on hiring the right youth coaches. This could also include options to have conversations with the youth coaches, outlining certain styles that are required for the youth team to play, rather than an exact tactic/formation (i.e. i want my U21s playing aggressive, pressing football, but it doesn't matter what formation they play, so as long as all players get enough gametime) This could potentially also lead into expanding the game into youth management, as a lot of IRL managers start their careers managing youth teams.
  15. To add, Brighton and a few other teams (I think Man Utd?) have their centre backs take the goal kick, who passes it back to the keeper. Could be an option in this proposed feature, to select goal kick takers
  16. Apologies, I've uploaded the wrong file. The right file should be uploading now, named 'jose gaya bug - updated.fm'
  17. The file is currently uploading, and is called "jose gaya bug.fm" For reference, I had received an email on 3rd June 2025 at 14:04 indicating that Jose Gaya wanted to discuss an improved contract. I then asked my director of football, Antoni Cucurella, to try and resolve his unhappiness, which did not work. I then spoke directly with Jose Gaya, and selected the 'we cannot afford to offer you an improved contract' button to respond to his unhappiness.
  18. This happened in-game on 3 June 2025, but my latest save file from before that is for 29th March 2025. Would that work?
  19. My player had asked for a new contract. I replied that the club couldn't afford to give him one, and he replied with a negative response. But, his reaction was shown as "thrilled".
  20. I have played countless saves where players consistently outperform their attributes. However, since they are old and/or have reached their PA, their attributes do not move at all. This is frankly quite frustrating, as I have to replace players who play exceptionally well simply because they are not improving. It completely ruins the immersion when I have to replace a player who's playing at a world class level, just because his attributes do not follow his form. There are countless examples of such players IRL. Junior Messias for Milan, Edouard Mendy for Chelsea, Jamie Vardy for Leicester, etc. These examples are quite rare, but it's ridiculous that FM has ZERO chance for this to happen. I understand that this feature may seem overpowered. However, it would only be for players who are consistently performing (over the course of 1-2 seasons at least) better than their attributes. This would mean that the likelihood of it happening would be similar to real-life scenarios. One example of this is my goalkeeper, Robin Zentner (This was in FM22, but I doubt much has changed for FM23). He has average attributes, but has consistently overperformed for me in the Bundesliga for two seasons. His goals prevented tally is around 20 for both seasons, and has regularly pulled off 10+ saves in matches against teams like Bayern and Dortmund. If this happens in real life, he would start for any top team in the world. However, I had to replace him with a better keeper, because his exceptional form over two seasons did not result in any change of attributes. I've attached some screenshots of the level of performance I was getting from Zentner By Gameweek 32, he had prevented 16.24 goals. If this happened in real life, he would at least be getting a few attributes bumped up by 1 or 2. However, he remained as seen below, unchanged (discounting the occasional yellow arrow up)
  21. At the moment, when you discuss the availability of a player with his agent, you are left with an 'accept demands' and 'stall' option. Clicking the stall option often leads to the agent coming to you for a deal, even if it's wildly out of your budget. This often results in the agent becoming upset, and would send a message like 'I will think twice about revealing my client's demands in the future'. I would like a third option to be added, to inform the agent that the club has ceased all interest in the player. This option seems to be common amongst clubs in real life, as they seek potential transfer options.
  22. Many players have a preference for different styles of penalty kicks in real life. Some players like to slot them low and precise, and some like to lash the ball with power. This feature could exist in the form of players traits, such as 'Shoots Penalties with Power' etc. It could also incorporate an attribute to show a player's favourite direction to shoot a penalty. One recent example I can remember seeing is Szoboszlai having a majority of his penalties go in the bottom left corner. This would make it more predictable for keepers to save penalties, so an option to train a player to change his penalty style could be implemented.
  23. I'd like more options for different replay camera angles for different events. For example, I'd like the replay camera to be 'Behind Goal' for goals, but 'Sideline' for tight offsides etc.
