  2. Sky Bet League Two 2028/29 (season 7) Season Summary Great first season in League Two. We started very badly and only got the first points in September. However, then we started to play well, and ended up with just 2 points from the play offs. Before the season we sold one of the best players to Wimbledon and in January the board accepted a bid on my best RB who had developed from 2.5 stars to 4.5 stars in the last 6 months. Warwick and Siemieniec are my biggest stars. Snodin has great abilities too but does not play as a great star. Unfortunately, Siemieniec's contract are expiring this summer and he does not want to talk about a new contract. Somehow Walsh is still playing very well, despite his poor abilities. Warwick is my topscorer and Snodin had most assists. I expect a lot from the other Warwick (Stuart, but Stuart and Ryan are not brothers) as he developed into a model citizen this season. Moriarty has also developed well this season. My preview was great with 5 stars. Lots of fine prospects. But I am not impressed with the CA. Mullings, Page, Wheeler, Leyden, and Lawrence got game time in the last part of the season. Finances and Upgrades No upgrades this season...
  3. It is difficult to win football matches if you commit a penalty all most every game...
  4. Vanarama National League 2027/28 (season 6) Season Summary Great season. Second season in the National League. The goal of the season was to get to the playoffs. And so we did. We managed to get the 3rd place and thus play at home in the playoff semi-final. In the semi-finals, we were up against Woking. The first half was close. But in the second half, Woking was tired from their quarter-final and we managed to take advantage of that and score 3 goals. 3-0 and on the final. In the final, we were up against Doncaster. They scored a quick goal but we managed to answer just a few minutes after. However, they scored shortly after once again. In the second half, we played better. My goalkeeper managed to score the last regular goal of the game on a penalty. 2-2. No more goals were scored and we were on the penalty shoot-out. We started. A miss. They scored. 0-1. Another miss from us. Now from my goalkeeper Walsh who has been my safe penalty choice throughout the season with 14 goals from penalties, and 2 already in the playoffs. I thought we had lost. But in the next four penalties, Doncaster managed to score only 1 and we scored 3 goals in a row. The promotion was home!!!!!!! The best player of the season was Warwick with 22 goals. I always thought he had topscorer potential but he started the season out very badly with way more offside goals than actual goals. However, around midway through the season he learned how to score and was a great part of why we succeeded to gain promotion. Rogers, Bone-Calver, Snodin, and Siemieniec have continued their development this season. However, Snodin did not play well in the first half of the season too, with an average rating of around 6.5. A big problem is that neither of the four players are interested in signing a new contract. I hope the promotion and the forthcoming professional status can help with that. Grubb is now too old to be a starter. And he has been my only non-regen player this season. Another important player is my goalkeeper, Walsh. He is doing well, with 21 clean sheets and 14 goals from penalties. However, his abilities should are not good enough at this level. I am considering if I should replace him with a younger guy with more potential. But I am not sure yet. My preview was great with 5 stars. Lots of fine prospects. But I am not impressed with the CA. Outerbridge got 9 games at the end of the season. A player like Warwick will maybe get more game time in the next season. I lost a good prospect this season in Fotheringham, as he had only signed a youth contract. Finances and Upgrades We manage to upgrade the junior coaching budget this season and after the promotion, it was announced that Weston-Super-Mare is a professional team next season. EDIT: Shortly after this post, it was announced that we will upgrade our stadium and the youth level
  5. Vanarama National League 2026/27 (season 5) Season Summary Great season. First season in the National League. We was never in danger of relegation and not that far from the play offs. I hope we will fight for the play off spots next season. Rogers, Wright, Bone-Calver, Snodin and Siemieniec have continued their development this season. Grubb again had a great season with 11 goals and 12 assists. The young defender Siemieniec had the highest average rating. Another important player is my goalkeeper Walsh. He is doing well, however his abilities should not be good enough at this level. Warwick was the topscorer with 14 goals. However, he was not even a starter this season. My preview was great with 5 stars. All in positions where I could use more players. Lots of fine prospects. However, I hoped for at least 1 high CA talent. Moriarty and Fotheringham could play an important role next season. We had no transfers this season. Finances and Upgrades We had a takeover last summer, which paid some of the depts in the club. We manage to upgrade the junior coaching, youth recruitment, and youth facilities this season.
  6. Vanarama National League South 2025/26 (season 6) Season Summary Great season. We managed to secure a playoff spot. We started the season great, and the playoff was never really in danger. In the end we managed to get a 6th place. And as you can see we managed to win the playoffs and promote to Vanarama National League next season. I was quite lucky in the playoffs. In the first match against Dulwich Hamlet, I was dominated and lost clearly on shots and expected goals. However, in injury time, Bone-Calver scored a late winner. In the semi-final against Chelmsford, Bone-Calver and Snodin scored to fast goals. Which was enough to win despite a large number of shots and xG against my team. In the final, we were up against Gloucester. They scored a fast goal but we managed to equalize just before half-time. Not much happened in the rest of the game, until the penalty shoot-out. Two saves and four goals secured the win and promotion. I also did well in the FA Trophy where we lost to Colchester in the semi finals. Rogers and Wright have continued their development this season. However, my best player is still an aging Grubb with 12 goals and 18 assists. Another important player is my goalkeeper Walsh. He has a high average rating, 9 goals from penalties, and was important in the playoffs. Cassar and Armstrong did well in the defense while the young forward Bone-Calver was my topscorer with just 13 goals. My preview was great with 5 stars. All in positions where I could use more players. However, I would also really like a new left fullback and a left winger. My intake was great. The best so far. A lot of players with potential, and some okay personalities. Snodin is a new starter on the left wing. He managed to score 2 goals in my last two playoff games. Jones is a great second choice right fullback, Siemieniec is my 3rd choice centre back, and Issahaku is my second choice left fullback. Issahaku can maybe become a starter next season. Also, Way and Warwick managed to get game time this season. My youth team managed to win their league this season. However, my board will not upgrade the youth level. We had no transfers this season. Finances and Upgrades No major upgrades this season, but I managed to get the Continental Pro trainer licence. We still have financial problems and I still don't know how to solve that. EDIT: Well, we expand the stadium due to league requirements. Not that it is necessary with more empty seats.
  7. Vanarama National League South 2024/25 (season 3) Season Summary The best season so far. With the intake from last year, we now have a squad that allows me to play my favorite tactic, a 4-3-3 with 3 central midfielders. With the new tactic, we played much better than the last 2 seasons. We were fighting for the playoff spots throughout the whole season. But in the end, we were 1 point off. We had an okay run in the FA Cup where we lost the 4th qualification round after two games. In the FA Trophy we lost in the fifth round. Rogers and Wright have developed very well this season. However, my best player is still an aging Grubb with 10 goals and 13 assists. Armstrong did well in the defense while the young forward Simpson was my topscorer with just 11 goals. My preview was great with 5 stars. All in positions where I could use more players. However, I would also really like a new left fullback. My intake was fine, better than last year but not overwhelming. A lot of players with potential, and some okay personalities. Bone-Calver is a new starter, either in front or at the right wing. He scored 3 goals in the remaining games of the season. Shephard will also start in the first team and he managed to score one goal in the remaining games of the season. We had no transfers this season. Finances and Upgrades I managed to upgrade both the youth recruitment and junior coaching budget this season, however, it was after the youth intake of this season. But I do not understand why it still says adequate under my facilities? I also managed to get the Continental b trainer licence. However, I really have financial problems. I don't know how to solve that.
  8. Vanarama National League South 2023/24 (season 2) Season Summary A new season without danger of relegation or much hope for promotion. Not much exciting can be said about the season other than I tried to integrate more youth candidates into the first team. Mostly because I had to do so. In the next season I will only have 6-8 non-regens players left. We had an okay run in the FA Cup where we lost the 4th qualification round after two games. In the FA Trophy we lost our first game. Armstrong, Winsor, Ceasar, and Wright have developed greatly this season. While another young player Walsh was the best player of the seasongoalkeeperlkeepr. I think this is the first time ever my goalkeeper wins that award. Maybe because he scored 4 goals from penalties. However, Walsh has not really developed this season. Armstrong did also play very well in the defense. Grubb and Humphries are still my two best players. They are actually the only two players that are suitable for playing in the Vanarama League South, according to my coaches. McCootie was my topscorer with only 13 goals. My preview was great with 5 stars, and 2 A's. All in positions where I could use more players. My intake was fine, better than last year but not overwhelming. A lot of players with potential, but not many with great personalities. Matheson (M(C)), Simpson (ST), Rogers (AM(R)), German (AM(L)), and Patten (D(C)) got their first games on the first team this season and will be a part of the first team next season. We had no transfers this season. Finances and Upgrades I managed to upgrade both the youth recruitment this season. While I also managed to get the Continental C trainer licence. However, I really have financial problems. I don't know how to solve that.
  9. Check out the Hall of Fame in post 2, page 1. In FM20 @Padders completed the challenge in year 2277. That's 257 seasons.
  10. Vanarama National League South 2022/23 (season 1) Season Summary After a few months' break from the game and a few "normal" saves I am ready to give this wonderful challenge a new try. I took over Weston Super Mare. Primarily because I like their kits. The club had two very great players but lacked depth. However, a few regens were already in the club from the 2022 intake. As no left-back was available, I created a tactic without fullbacks or wingbacks. 3 centrebacks, 3 center midfielders, 2 wingers, an attacking midfielder, and a striker. With the kind of obscure tactic we managed to secure a midtable position. Far from both promotion and relegation. However, we lost the first game in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a screenshot of the stats and ratings before the new season. However, the following players played a role in the season. Grubb and Humphries are my two best players. Walsh (GK), Armstrong (D(C)), and Gibba (D(C)) are from the intake of 2022. Walsh is my first-choice goalkeeper and he also scored a few goals from penalties. Armstrong is one of my starting centrebacks. Gibba also played as a centreback, however, I do not think he is good enough to play a role in the season to come. My preview was great with 5 stars, and an 4 A's. All in positions where I could use more players. My intake was fine, but not overwhelming. A lot of players with potential, but not many with great personalities. Winsor (D(LC)), Baptiste (AM(R)), Dent (AM(RLC)), Wright (D(R),M(C)), and Dube (M(C)) managed to get their debut. We had no outgoing transfers this season. Finances and Upgrades A great start to the challenge as I managed to upgrade both the youth recruitment and junior coaching. While I also managed to get the National B trainer licence.
