Yes SI has reached the point everyone thought it would. Record sales For fm24 means they wont bother trying to improve as long as the cash is coming in.
Now fm 25 with better graphics will pull in more casual audience which bring more sale and will result in neglect of the core aspects of the game which from the very beginning was Simulation of football.
Or in the very least, Dont promise what you cant deliver.
They knew most people would skip FM24 as FM25 was getting major changes so they got on big marketing campaign and managed to fool many.
The only way i see a future for Footballer manager is letting someone else take the charge.
Someone young and has idea on development, not someone like miles who came in as just a publisher.
They need to understand that going toward tge arcade direction is not the right way for a simulation game
The only thing i ask SI to for the final patch is to make the game hard.
The game has been eased to a point to cater the casual audience that its not even slightly fun for the above avg user.
Winning league is fun, but doing so without much effort goes against everything football manager used to stand for as a game.
I hope you understand
I think they tend to do this every year on the beta, I think its mostly aimed to show how good attacking play is which pleases most of the casual audience
He is putting out his opinion, maybe it is a little bit over emotional but just like you said about buy the game if you want, You can read it if you want
The big thing is, SI said themselves that they have to reduce the number of data that impact the game to reduce the memory usage of the game, So many factors which should influence the game isn't being used. I hope they can put a slider on how much of these data to be used so we can have bigger realism without affecting people who prefer perfomance
Can't speak for everyone, But I find the game too easy to a level that I don't even enjoy playing it anymore. There is no reward in grinding as you can overachiever with the default gegen press tactic
Eventhough I don't agree with everything he said, His statement about the difficulty about the game and how you should build a tactic that fit your team than that fit any team is justified
The thing is, I want the game to be harder without making unrealistic limitation on myself, Delegating tranfers to Dof is not a problem as it is realistic but doing youth only is not for me
I delegates all my tranfers to DOF, i use the default gegenpress but with a regista instead of roaming playmaker. Played in australia, Took team expected to finish last to 3rd place and won the playoff in the first season
As the devs refuse to increase the difficulty of the game to appeal to the wider audience (Which is not a bad thing), I would love to get peoples suggestion on how to make the game harder using FMRTE or the pre game editor (Changing manager attributes, League reputation etc....)
As far as ive seen...... no, Just like transfer.
As someone who was fixed on not buying fm24, The transfer changes were the one that made me buy it, But at the current stage, im disappointed
