So much great content this year that I really appreciate, your save included 😊 I’m curious about the media handling portion of your takeover post, particularly this bit: In my interview, I was told that I needed to improve my media handling skills as, clearly, the board didn't like that I'd delegated everything. Therefore, I've gone down a slightly different route with the ideology that I can improve both that and my player interactions. I already group attributes based loosely on their numerical value and, in the past, have spent hours and hours working through what the combinations of personality and media handling bring - solving to the single attribute for what each hidden attribute shows. I simply don't have the want for that any more but still want to be able to most effectively talk and interact with them. Therefore, I have utilised a similar route that I have done with attributes - banded (1-5 shows a silver star and 15-20 shows a gold star) each hidden attribute with the focus, in my first team, being on Temperament, Sportsmanship and ability to handle Pressure. If possible, can you elaborate on this, or point to your previous work? I delegate media handling not realizing the potential benefits it can have on the team.

Thank you for documenting your save @MattyLewis11!!! There is always so much great content that I find myself reading what others are doing rather than playing the game myself. FM24 is the first version of the game that I've been a father. I've decided to take control of Brisbane Roar (in honor of Bluey) and I've found your DNA model to be extremely relevant and effective in the A-League. There are a number of roster and salary restrictions, including a loyalty player allowance, reducing the salary cap hit for players who have been at the club for at least 4 years. Your DNA model has been so helpful in my squad building and recruitment...identifying players who fit the DNA I've set out for the club and keeping hold of them has been really fun!

Things are going about as well in your save as the IRL Envigado

You've hit on what was going to be my biggest piece of advice...It is maddening keeping track of contracts! Given the marathon season domestically you'll need a deep squad. I found it difficult the first few seasons managing contracts, especially youth contracts. With so many high potential players, I had a struggle knowing who to keep around, who to let go on a free, and who to sell. Which brings me to my second bit of advice: don't get too attached to players! With the great facilities and youth setup, as expected I had consistently at least decent, if not great, youth intakes. So, sell when you can and when if makes financial sense. Qualifying for the Copa Libertadores definitely helps financially. I think you get something like $400-500,000 for reaching the qualifying rounds. If you make the competition proper that obviously helps too. Advancing out of the group stage was the real benefit because I think the appearance money then is $1,250,000. As far as qualifying for the Copa Libertadores of Sudamericana, the aggregate table determines that. The top two teams get into the Libertadores and 3-6 get into the Sudamericana.

New game (even if only early access) brings new excitement! I have lurked so much and not commented in the past. My Envigado save on FM23 was epic according to my standards at least, in that I managed to 2073. I prefer long term saves and this was long by my standards. All this is to say I cannot wait to follow your progress. I can't wait to see where this goes!!!
