Squad Review
U23
I wont go too deep into this but wanted to show you the type of potential we have in our u23 squad currently. With nearly all of these due to become homegrown we are in a good position for the future! There are some here which could definitely be of use to the first team but would rather they play games at this level for now.
First Team
Goalkeepers
Took a slight risk selling our best goalkeeper in Fortin in the summer. However he was only 3 star current and potential ability. With Ramirez being homegrown now and Alfonsi due to be homegrown next summer I believe it was time to run with these 2 for now.
Right Backs
Bounguendza was going to get a lot of game time this season but when a loan offer game in I decided to take it so that the homegrown issue didnt come into play and he didnt play much. Cochran and Heap are both more than good enough for us currently.
Left Backs
Tenore I am trying to loan back to America but not getting much joy currently. Britto is in the first team simply due to being homegrown. This will be his last season at the club. He has been a great servant and has had a great start to this season. Hudock will be the main rotated player when Yeto, who we got on loan from Villareal, needs rested.
Centre Backs
We are well stacked in this area. 2 of our high potential players are out on loan. A few others will be utilised more in the full backs area. That leaves us with Jiminez and Munox who will be our main starting pair along with Woods, Roumain (who would have went on loan bar his homegrown status coming up at end of the season) and DePuy being the backups.
Centre Midfielders
This season will probably be the last for a couple of players who are being kept around for homegrown reasons. Corcoran has had a lot of injury issues and lost his potential and Carrizo is really stagnating. This is an area I will probably look to improve next season with some quality. Mohammadi and Stewart are the main starters and I am going to start giving game time to Hayirliogu further back moving forward.
Wingers
An area we are really well stacked in is on the wings. Gyamfi has complained that I havent strengthened the first team which is frankly ridiculous. I hope he stays as he has been somewhat a cult legend so far. No worries in these areas for a few years!
Strikers
A few players here where this will probably be their last season with the club as we have a good amount of players becoming homegrown in 2029. Belaj has been a great servant for us and Healy will probably leave in the summer. Other than that we have great cover in this area.
If anyone wants to see any of these players please let me know. Also anyone doing saves like this please load USA! The amount of players I am getting from there is crazy!

Transfers
Out
A lot of transfers out this summer. I will break these down. Firstly the loans out are all those players who cannot become home grown with us but need the game time. This can only benefit them and us in terms of their progression. We then had a clear out of those players which werent developing the way we wanted or else where getting in the way of others who were developing. Myles, Kremcheck, Stewart, Ugarte, Joseph, Perez, Fandl, Van Den Bergh, Fernandez, Orozco and Sosa all fit that bill. Fortin was our first choice keeper for quite a while but we have quite a few younger players with good potential who can also become home grown so he left. Now onto the slightly bigger fees. Massanga you know about, we didnt want to sell but he forced our hands and at least we got a good sell on clause. Tereso was similar. We managed to squeeze £2.5m out of Sporting for him. Ure also through the head up and wanted to leave and I managed to get 850k from Chicago but unfortunately no sell on fee. These were all first choice players but we got decent money for them. Gamarra was a panic buy in January and we let him go in the summer. The one you wont recognise is Palazuelo's. You are probably wondering where he came from? Well we signed him at the start of the summer but couldnt fit him into the CL squad for qualifiers so he requested a transfer and was sold!
In
Once again nearly all of these players where 18 or below and brought in for potential and to become homegrown at club! There is a few who join the first team and we spent £1m on a player! Coupled with 2 very solid loans I believe our team is in a strong position this season!

Youth Recruitment Improvement
Hopefully this means we can get more good young Gibraltarian players in!

Transfer Clause
Well after getting pittance in the form of his transfer fee I have sold our clause for a great £1.4m!

Really enjoying reading your updates. Gibraltar looks like a fun save. Will give it a go this year.
Thanks for reading. I am thoroughly enjoying the league. Not too many games and I can get through seasons relatively quickly. Been a very tough summer though and probably the longest pre season I have ever had in any FM!

Record Transfer
Massanga has left us now. I managed to get £250k for him despite his value being only £18k or so. I have a 40% sell on clause as well. As you can see he is now valued at £8.2m!

A lot of money but essential to help our players improve!

End Of Season Results
Results
Another unbeaten season for us!
League Table
Similar to past few seasons we pulled away in the 2nd half!
Rock Cup
Again in one of these rounds we required extra time otherwise it was quite straightforward
Champions League
It was an amazing season as we qualified for the champions league and got 2 wins in the league phase, including an amazing win against Liverpool. We finished only 2pts outside the qualification spots
Transfers
Out
Well Vega threw the head up and wanted to leave and was upsetting the team. He was our starting right back and was tough to replace. We have a 40% of next transfer fee.
He is now valued between £500k-6.4m

More young 18 year olds coming in as well as me spending a bit of money, one on a Gibraltarian player in Woods from Forest and a panic right back signing in Gamarra! I am planning on doing a squad review this summer.
Player Of The Season - Carlos Massanga
He is simply tearing this league up. 34 goals and 11 assists in 27 (6) appearances. However is now transfer listed by request and unfortunately will be leaving this summer for a fairly nominal fee.
Young Player Of The Season - Omer Sari
Another youngster brought in who stepped up quite well this month. 15 goals and 6 assists in 19 (3) appearances.
Gibraltar Coefficients
Up another 12 spots in terms of reputation in the competitions ranking
This has also meant we have moved up 5 places to 28th in the coefficients table. This has led to another improvement in a 2nd team jumping straight into the 2nd qualifying round!

Nice to see this. Not much difference in terms of overall money but nice to see!

Youth Intake 2028
We finally get a player worth signing. I signed the top 3 but those personalities are awful. Heres hoping some mentoring can change that!

Just read through the whole of this. What an amazing time you've had so far. I did a Gibraltar save on FM23 and it took me a good 4 or 5 seasons to even get through a qualifying round of the Champions League so to get into the league phase that quickly is incredible work from yourself.
As you can see the hardest bit is to get the other teams in Gibraltar doing well in Europe, I ended up filtering money down to the other teams after maxing out our facilities to try and get them improving quicker.
Hopefully you start getting better intakes soon.
Have you had a new TV deal yet for the league? This is one thing that really helped me, a whopping TV deal came through once I qualified into the Champions League proper, helped the whole league out with shed loads of money
Thanks for reading! I think I have been quite lucky with the qualification in the 2nd season which has really helped me improve the squad much quicker than I anticipated! In terms of TV deals I think their might be a bug my end. I have had 3 come in thus far and all have been for £0

Interesting career so far!
How are the youth intakes looking now?
This is the first intake we have had anything above an E in terms of a preview. We have a "B" for wide midfielders. Would be great to get something in!

Mid Season Results
Results
Still unbeaten. That is 2 and a half seasons but in the Europa FC game we were 3-0 down going into the 88th minute. We scored then and then in the 95th and 96th minute to rescue our unbeaten run!
League Table
Like most seasons we seem to not be able to pull away from teams early on despite our dominance!
Pepe Reyes Cup
It was far from straightforward but we win the super cup again
Champions League
We managed to qualify for the Champions League. Outside of the Djurgardens game where we required a big comeback in the 2nd leg it was quite straightforward. What followed was the biggest win in the history of the club beating Liverpool 4-3 in the league phase. We have also beaten SC Austria and had really good draws with Slavia Prague and Sevilla
We sit just inside the top 24 but with PSG and Napoli to come unfortunately we will fall out of this.
Transfers
Out
2 young players went out on loan and our old favourite Negrette is off on loan before he leaves at the end of this season. Aleman and Beier where both not improving at all and so where sold off for minimal profit.
In
Nearly all the players signed where young players for the future. Tereso below is our biggest ever signing. Good current ability and solid potential as well!
Player Review - Alex Vega
One of the many players to have come across the pond. Vega is one of them who really has developed into a very strong player for us. Being utilised mainly at right back he has played nearly 50 games for us so far.
Youth Intake Preview
This is the first time we have had anything above an E! Please give me something good!
Gibraltar In Europe
Lincoln Red Imps
A tough draw here and they gave them a good scare away from home leading until
Europa FC
This was a very winnable tie for the but they couldnt make their dominance count and lost on penalties
Magpies
Another disappointing result here against a beatable side

More facilities work! Do we know if the nations youth rating and reputation ratings this year change with your own game? So as the reputation of the league increases the better the player or is it simply set? @Jimbokav1971 I know you are doing a youth game wondering if you have noticed anything?

Youth facilities getting improved now!

End Of Season
Results
Another unbeaten season here with just a couple of additional draws to add to the sea of green!
League Table
Similar to last year the Imps pushed us hard until the final 3rd of the league when they fell back.
Rock Cup
We win the Rock Cup this year although it did require extra time in the quarter finals away at Europa!
Europa League
What an incredible run we had this season. Firstly making it to the groups and then not only qualifying from the groups but also beating Club Brugge in a knockout round before Benfica comfortably beat us.
Transfers
Out
Lincoln came raiding on deadline day. Both Marino and Bermudez where unhappy and the other 2 where youngsters who needed game time. Trevino we lost to a ridiculous release clause!
In
3 youngsters and a young Gibraltarian to help with home grown players.
Player Of The Season - Carlos Massanga
A great first season for the Mozambican with us scoring an impressive 25 goals in 24 (9) appearances along with 9 assists!
Young Player Of The Season - Goncalo Pinto
One of the youngsters we brought from America and he had a great breakthrough season getting 12 goals and 9 assists in 16 (7) appearances.
Gibraltar Coefficients
A further 12 places have been climbed in the European competition rankings which is great. This has led to....
An additional team going straight into the 2nd qualifying round!

Another improvement here! This has had no impact into any of our youth intakes yet.

Also managed to get junior coaching and youth recruitment done but gyazo was working at the time!

Mid-Season Review
Results
Still undefeated and only 2 draws should leave us comfortably clear....
League Table
But we are actually level on points with the Imps albeit with a game in hand.
Pepe Reyes Cup
We finally win this again after an awful run in it!
Europa League
Well we have been simply great here. 3 wins 2 draws and a defeat means we may have a good chance of European football after Xmas!
We currently sit in 12th and a big 5pts above last place in playoff spots Hajduk
Transfers
Out
Some players we brought in but didnt work out in terms of potential
In
I wont dwell too much on these as 95% of them are 18 year olds I am hoping reach their potential and become home grown for us.
Player Review - Steve Stewart
One of the few signings who came straight into the first team. 2 goals and 4 assists in 9 games thus far.
Gibraltar In Europe
Lincoln Red Imps
The Imps managed to get through one qualifying stage before losing out to Omonoia!
Europa FC
Europa also managed to get through one round on penalties but Molde where a step too far.
Magpies
And to complete the treble Magpies also managed to get past Welsh side Llanelli before a very respectable draw with Sparta Prague at home before being drubbed away.

Great that we have got another improvement here!

Gibraltar Nationality
Our young American keeper has now decided to push to get into the Gibraltarian national side!

End Of Season
Results
An unbeaten season although we rode our luck in a couple of games!
League Table
It was comfortable in the end but the Imps were only 5pts behind us going into the Championship Group!
Rock Cup
There would be no double this season as the Imps knocked us out in the semis en route to winning the competition.
Europa League
We did brilliantly in the group stage. 2 wins and a draw gave us 7pts. This really should help our coefficient
Transfers
Out
A few of the older players in Boula and Blas leaving as they are no longer required. Villar complained about playing time and Jamai/Allen didnt leave up to their potential.
In
4 more players coming across the pond. Again all of them are 18 and will become home grown. 2 of which are in and around the starting 11 already.
Player Of The Season - Michael Negrette
In what could be his last season for us he really stepped up again. He might have the best of ability but he really has performed for us. 4 goals and 16 assists for us this season is an incredible return.
Young Player Of The Season - Joe Trevino
The young American has a great breakthrough season getting 19 goals and 7 assists in 25 (3) appearances.
Gibraltar Coefficients
More good news as our league pops up another 11 places to 85th!

Mid-Season Review
Results
Goals goals and more goals. Averaging 5 goals a game!
League Table
We are comfortably clear!
Pepe Reyes Cup
Hat trick from Ezekiel and after our initial bad run in this super cup it is now our 3rd on the bounce
Champions League
It wasnt to bed in the Champions League this year. We smashed Teuta and relatively comfortably got past both Torpedo and Goteborg but Celtic were a step too far and a big loss at Celtic Park consigned us to the Europa League
Europa League
Well what a start this has been. Undefeated in our 6 games including 4 wins. Against Basel we were 4 nil down at half time only to score 6 unanswered goals in the 2nd half!
We are currently in the top 8 but at very least we will be in the knockout stages
Player Review - Federico DePuy
One of the multitude of American players we have brought over. Really good potentials and already solid mental and physicals. Just need to work some more on the technical side of things. Already played 15 times this season.
Gibraltar In Europe
Europa FC
A really tough draw here and they kept it very respectable
Lincoln Red Imps
Similar to Europa drawing a premier league side was simply too much for them
St Josephs
I think both Europa and the Imps would have got past this side but St Josephs arent up to much currently and were a surprise to even get into the top 4!
What I have also noticed we have dropped down to just 2 professional sides in the league (at one stage we were at 5). Ourselves and Man 62 being the only ones. I think to improve this further we really need to up that again.
