Playing FM24 for the first time this year, it's disappointing to see that AI squad management and youth development haven't been fixed. I'm seven years into the future and there is just one player aged 25 or under in the starting XI of all the top six sides. They also spend £50M+ on average squad players aged 29/30, which makes no sense either from a sporting or commercial perspective. I was wondering, would it be possible to fix this issue using FMRTE? Perhaps by mass editing (a) the physical attributes of all players over the age of 30, and (b) boosting the reputation of all players under 21. It wouldn't be flawless but given SI haven't fixed this issue for three versions of the game and counting I don't know what else to suggest.

Regens broke through in the top teams far more quickly in pre-FM22 versions of the game. That is far more realistic (and IMO, better) than the top clubs having almost no regens in their starting XIs until 15~ years into the save, which was my experience in FM22 and FM23.

I want the AI to sign and play more young players because it makes the game world more interesting and dynamic. It spoils the immersion when you're ten years into a save and all the big clubs have an average squad age of 30+ and hardly any players under 23 in the starting XI. That was the case in my saves in both FM22 and FM23. It was far better before FM22. In my FM21 save there were lots of regens breaking through.

Oh dear. Looks like I'll be waiting for Daveincid's updates before purchasing again. I can't believe they haven't fixed this for three FMs now.

Interesting thread! Does anyone know if managerial appointments are influenced by simulating on full detail? I enjoy the greater speed provided by the default simulation setting, but I dislike the unrealistic managerial changes that come with it, e.g. Jurgen Klopp leaving UCL winning Liverpool to join 8th place Spurs.
