  1. I don't really like it either. I think you are on point. As an American, I'm used to salary caps in American sports, which creates parity. Otherwise the Dallas Cowboys would win the Super Bowl every single year, because they have a lot more money than anybody. In baseball, Tampa Bay made the World Series last year despite having the lowest payroll...that would be the equivalent basically of Fulham or West Brom finishing 2nd in the Premier League. The same team winning over and over gets boring after awhile. Juventus, PSG, etc. win their league every single year. I'm afraid that interes
  2. Well that's good news! Thanks. Glad I mentioned it, or I never would have known!
  3. Rangers have always been a go-to team for me, but may be too easy this time around considering how good they are in real life! Perhaps somewhere in Belgium or Holland, though the Dutch transfer bug is a bit of a turn-off for me. Denmark, maybe. But first I'll load up a test save to see what jobs are available at the beginning of the game.
  4. I took a couple of months off from FM to wait for the Winter patch and for this mod to be further developed. I think today is the day I start a new save! I think I'll go all-in on full realism this time... mods for agents, language, injuries, relationships, etc. using the guide on FM Scout. Really looking forward to it...if I don't get sacked for the first time ever on FM I'll be disappointed! And now, for the truly hard part...spending two hours trying to figure out which team I want to start my save with!
  5. The process seems to take a lot longer in the offseason. I guess because the board feels they have more time. But yeah, it's annoying to miss out on the first couple of weeks of the transfer window. I've seen big jobs open up at the end of the season in May, and they aren't filled until early July or thereabouts.
  6. Good stuff. A few days ago I started my first-ever Swiss save with your files, going to try to bring Grasshopper back to the top levels of Swiss football. One thing that FM has taught me through the years is tax rates. Taking a look at my contract, I make 85k per year, and take 78k home after taxes! Wow, make room, I'm moving to Switzerland!
  7. Thanks for the update. Would I have to start a new save for the changes to take effect?
  8. Yep, I see that now. I'll fire it up again tonight and see if anything has changed.
  9. The odd thing is that I haven't changed any skins in several weeks. It just randomly started getting much, much slower last night.
  10. How is the speed of this modpack for everyone else? I started up a test save last night, with fewer players loaded than usual, and it seemed a bit slow. The speed was fine when simulating from day to day, but things seem to lag quite a bit when I'm going in and out of club views, player screens, etc. Anybody else, or is it just me?
  11. I'm using this, or something very close to this, as Spurs in FM21. I don't have anyone suitable for the F9 role, so I'm generally using a Poacher instead. He's got 10 goals in 12 PL games at the age of 33. He's been hurt a lot, and I only changed to the tactic about midway through the season. It's year 5 in my save, but my first year at Spurs, so the personnel is much different than real-life Spurs at the moment. Basically Dele and Dier are the only two players remaining. Dele is good in the SS role, and Dier is good in the DM role. Mine really isn't a total football tactic, thoug
  12. Kane ended up leaving after the first season for PSG, and Man City just bought Son for 66 million. So now they are getting gutted of their best players.
  13. FM2017 was my first version of FM, and generally speaking, Spurs have underperformed every single year in comparison to their real life counterparts. That has been my experience. Though I did have one save in FM20 where (after a couple of managerial changes) Spurs and Liverpool basically dominated the league for a whole decade. They'd alternate winning the title year by year. And that was with Frank De Boer as Spurs manager, haha. In my current save, Spurs have replaced Jose with Marcelo Bielsa...who like Jose runs a fluid counter attacking system. They failed to score in four o
  14. I played as Rangers in the beta and Rangers now that the full game has come out. Started a brand new save. I've found things to be harder with the same tactic as before. I'm still winning the league, as Rangers are in real life, but I'm not running away with it and I'm not scoring 5 a game.
  15. Yep, it is Fluid Counter attack in FM21. I checked that last night when I saw that he got sacked. You are right, that is probably the issue. In FM20 he didn't seem to struggle at Spurs in most of my saves. In fact, he even won the Champions League one year.
