  1. How do you differentiate goalkeeper distribution based on different situations? What I would like is for my GK to distribute to CB/FB from a goal kick, so we can build from the back, I can get this with distribute to area/player. However if he claims a cross I'd like him to be more pro-active and start a counter attack if possible, rather than letting the opposition settle and passing to defenders. Anyone found a sweet spot for this? TI/PI/Role/PPM/Attributes? I know there is a PPM for starting a counter attack with a throw, what if he is better with his feet?
  2. On the touchline tablet during games, when viewing the opposition formation, is there a way for squad numbers to be visible? I play 2D and have to click on the 2d icons to see the names of the player and compare it to the tablet. Would be great if I could see this at a glance
  3. I've not got the game loaded to check. My understanding of a DW was that they are less aggressive than normal wingers, which may by why they are not pushing up as high as you would like. I've had success in the past doing this with a 424 and regular wingers on support/attack, I would put a regular winger in the AML/R spot with PI/OIs. You will be really exposed on the flanks though.
  4. I've found it quite different. my winger cuts inside to the byline and sends in low crosses (instructed). Maybe it's positional play since I have a mezalla next to him. Working well for cut backs and shooting opportunities from wide, again, not recommended for Antony.
  5. Not sure if this comment was related to Antony specifically, but I'm having joy with a right footed winger cutting inside behind the full back and hitting low crosses into the box. His crossing stat is low and my striker not the biggest, so figured if he can get inside he would have greater success than from wide. Obviously doesn't apply to Antony since his right foot is poor.
  6. Got a few player/tactical questions relating to the FM24 beta, i'm coming from a FM console/touch background so a lot of the screens in the game are new to me. One thing in particular is players giving feedback to our instructions, i'm not sure how much negative feedback can change performance but here goes. Trying to get the best from Middlesbrough youngster Hayden Hackney. His recommended role is deep lying playmaker, fair enough. Although for my system I don't want him sitting since he's not great defensively and has decent attributes for long shots, dribbling, despite not being the most athletic. So I think i'll try a CM role and just ask him to play risky passes similar to the DLP PI, now he isn't happy that he's been asked to do this due to his low flair? Which is 10 I believe. So do I just ignore his unhappiness? remove the PI and hope he makes key passes naturally? try and learn a trait? I've got a similar issue with my GK who complains about having to play SK(s),(a) due to his flair, but also has a PPM for starting counters with long throws so i'd like him on support at least.
  7. Is there any new features for FM Console Edition this year? I know it's meant to be a slimmed down version but anything at all? I had a quick look through the menus before work and all I could see really was the manager timeline thing? Squad planner missing?
