  1. Notts County could be interesting. They had a massive wage bill, big debt, abysmal chairman and were relegated down to the Conference. They had a transfer ban that was only lifted a week before the season started too. Now been taken over with some last minutes signings and with a tag as being one of the bigger clubs in the division and are there for the taking - can they pull out of the decline and thrive? Could be a big test.

  2. Liverpool of course initially. But that's more to ensure the way they play as a team and individuals is as realistic as possible. I'll tweak with the editor for the first season to get them spot on compatibility-wise with the AI and any of its anomalies. I usually like to play as IA in the Icelandic league but there were issues in FM19 with the lack of u18/reserve team - a country I know little about, a team I'd never heard of and players I can't pronounce. I also like to play as a team in the lower English divisions. In FM 19 it was Hemel Hempstead and managed to get them in to the EPL - for one season!

  3. Its important for me to get Liverpool players playing as realistic as possible in the first instance.

I've just started using Fabinho as a DLP (d), with our higher line and engagement this season he spends more time in the opposition half - happy how he's playing for me. Use Milner as a Carrillero too and again ok for me. I just can't get Hendo to press as hard as I'd like as a BBM , maybe try and use him like Milly as he does cover TAA on the right at times. Wijnaldum - I've tried him in a variety of roles without any success. Ox - more to do with AI but find him too successful particularly when shooting in any attacking/supporting midfield type role. Keita seems ok as a BBM

    @diddydaddydoddy Hi mate.

I think last season, Liverpool midfield was more supportive a bit out of necessity. This was because of injuries to Keita and Ox, we lacked a penetrative midfielder. This season I expect to see them taking more of an offensive role in midfield.

Back to your original question, I think the combo of DLP/d, CAR, and BBM of the default Gegenpressing tactic worked quite well. Not overly aggressive, depending on the player, but well balanced.

Edit: just to make clear, in the classic combo, Fabinho is DLP/d, Wij is CAR and Hendo is BBM.

I've just started to use Fabinho as a DLP/d myself now with a bit more success. Wijnaldum I struggle to get to play that well - but then he does go unnoticed/quietly effective in real life. Ditto with Hendo as BBM.

  5. I'm the Liverpool AR and this is aimed at those that play as Liverpool and prefer to replicate Klopp's tactics. Liverpool's midfield have a reputation as support players that help optimise the high press strategy and allow TAA, Robbo, and the three strikers the opportunity to impact the game with goals/assists. My question is...what roles do you play (irrespective of their suggestive roles in the game) the following in; Wijnaldum, Milner, Henderson, Fabinho, Ox and Keita to best replicate the way they play in real life?

  7. I have had the same issue with defensive midfielders/anchor men in particular and have had to realise that its how I believe they perform for the team that matters, not the rating they're given. Opposite problem with my full backs who always seem to get decent ratings. I agree with forwards who score 1 in 10 shots and suddenly are MOMs too. Look upon the ratings as having come from an outsider (fan/press) and they're there as an opinion only.

Fantastic to include - I hope waiting around for VAR won't be too long. Be best to speed that up in game play - no need to see ref running to the hood, for example.

Go to VAR, show an inset clip close up of incident and then the refs decision, much faster for game play.

FM should rightly reflect real life, hence VAR (and the option of using it in certain leagues/competitions only) is spot on. BUT I agree I hope there is an option to reduce the time it takes to view  a decision being made>

If I have state to a researcher why I think David De Gea deserves more than 15 for one on ones then my God  Just watch football and you'll see why. He's had 15 for one on ones for years now and has become probably the best goalkeeper in the world. If this needs to pointed out then I think a new researcher is probably needed for Manchester United. No disrespect to whoever he or she may be, but come on now. That's the equivalent of giving Messi 15 for finishing.

It's not the end of the world btw, just continually baffles me especially when much goalkeepers are given more.

Obviously you DO need to state to the Man Utd researcher your reasoning for the very fact it HASN'T changed for years!!

I don't know the researcher in question, but to say a new researcher is needed based upon ONE attribute being wrong in your opinion is really disrespectful and pathetic. He will have approx c36,000 pieces of detail on Man Utd to be on top of and for whatever reason he believes 15 is ok. Maybe if you put a case forward he might just change it.

I still look at every update to see if David De Gea has been given more than 15 for one on ones, been the same for years now, it's hilarious

For the record I haven't looked at this one yet, someone surprise me and tell me finally this has been changed?

Can I suggest you post this in the right forum (https://community.sigames.com/topic/411489-england-official-manchester-united-data-issues/) to give the Man Utd Researcher an opportunity to reply. You need to point out why you think the data is wrong, what it should be and state reasons/proof as to why - presuming of course you haven't already done this over the last few years.
