Thanks for replying, but to give him random attributes seem to be missing the ball, but i don't know how that works, maybe you are forced to set them to random, but his physicals are **** in my game and he is quite a physical player so if its not random then i don't know why they are low.

Not all attributes are random. I don't give him the random attributes you refer to if that's where the confusion is. He is allocated random attributes by the AI. He came from Celtic with random attributes as the Celtic AR may not have seen enough of him as he did make a big leap from schoolboy to first team there. I hope to change that as he continues to progress at a higher level with more game time. I reiterate don't get carried away with his attributes but his performances and development at that level. I've not 'missed the ball', the more I see him at this level (or even higher), the more accurate the range of his attributes will be.

Thanks a lot, I think it should be clear to everyone by now that follows youth players that he probably is among the best in the world at that age and clearly able to play at U21 level and his attributes doesn't reflect that in game.  So its a missed ball on this one but now i know why if his stats are random. Thanks

I'm the Liverpool researcher and I have seen him play for us. His CA is significantly greater than any other u18 player for LFC which is the squad he started to play with. His first game for our u21s was 8th October, he only played c120 mins for our u21s prior to datalock. Yet his CA is already in the top half of our u21 players. His PA is very, very high too and potential range should be reached in game. Do not get carried away with his attributes but his performances and development at that level. So with respect, I've not 'missed the ball', I need to see him more now that he's playing at a higher level to ensure his attributes become more reflective

Just had the most tense finish of a season ever.

Tied last game with Liverpool and they're in front cause: first tiebreaker is Overall goal difference, and we're tied on that, so next tie braker is Overall goals scored and they are in front cause of that.

They score early and I'm on the wrong foot. We only score the first on the seccond half but they winning 2-0 by then. But then Palace scores against them and all I need is one more goal. Chance after chance missed and I was in pain till Halland scores at the last minute possible for the title win :D

    Amazing stuff

Definitely report that as a bug. I'm not happy about that at all. SI are awful to let this through ;)

So something that has always bugged me is how the game implements staff limits, for a number of years now Man Utd have around 30 odd scouts, but the limit set by the club is around half that, meaning if i sack anyone i can't replace them, likewise in this years game they are allowed 1 assistant manager but IRL they have 2 (Steve McClaren & Mitchell van der Gaag) so they are over the limit in game, now if one of them is a glorified coach that ETH works closer with then call either one that in the game, or give me a 2 assistant limit, either way it's wrong.

I know it's typically not normal to have two assistants, so it's not like i need that limit, but it just looks a bit silly when the board say i can 1 but they've clearly allowed 2, it's small details like this that can be immersion breaking, why not just set the limit to the minimum amount of current staff, it costs nothing just to be accurate.

Unless there's some other reason i'm overlooking.

Your post will be lost here. I know the following thread exists, please add your points there please.

Yet another year where the starting staff member numbers at some club exceeds the game's opinion of how many of that type of staff the club should have.

I've complained about this for several years now. It. Doesn't. Make. Sense.

For example Liverpool have 23 scouts but only "space" for 16. This means that I can't actually replace a scout with a different/better one until I've literally fired 7 scouts. I don't want to do that, because I shouldn't have to.

Dear SI, I love the game, but this is basic stuff. When you start a save, especially if the club is financially stable or rich, the max number of staff should never be less than the actual number of real life staff hired by the real life club. After some months, I don't mind if the board then suggests trimming the size or whatever, but if I want to switch out Joe Bloggs with a different scout I shouldn't be stopped from doing so. I shouldn't have to fire 7 scouts in order to replace one and end up with a 20% smaller scouting department.

Every damn year. Please sort this! :(

There isn't anything in the DB when researching that details how many scouts you can have, so if I identify 23 that's how many I put in the game. Can you log it as a bug please - I agree with your logic on this

on first look and with the benefit of FM scout to check details, i'd possibly say a bit disappointed with Konate not getting a raised PA. think bajetic could have gotten a boost and feel Ben Doak's starting CA will make it very difficult to get him to his PA. other than that its hard to argue on others without being biased; Gordon being injured means he hasnt had a chance to be upgraded, Bobby clark could be better but it would be a tough call.

Konate - what are you seeing as his PA?

Doak should be ok hitting his PA range

Bajcetic has had his CA raised 31% from his last iteration ( I think the biggest rise in the whole playing squad)

    Gordon - unfortunately that’s correct

Clark - a tough one his CA has been raised 20% though

Injury proness is a funny one. In my Valour save, there was a player who "is known to be prone to injuries" and, in real life, he gets a fair few knocks, but I had him go a season and a half without even a minor injury.

It’s difficult to replicate Milner's injury record in the sense he may get a lot of injuries but his recovery isn’t usually prolonged

  8. One of the frustrations I get is if player A has 2/3 good games then some want his CA/PA/attributes immediately increasing. The reality is performance and subsequent increases need to be over a sustained period.
PA is especially difficult as it’s less tangible so you draw on your own experience, the players skill set, physicality, recognition etc. A few years ago you’d probably expect Adam’s Morgan and Pepper to end up being solid EPL players in the future when they were teenagers. I prob would have scored their PAs quite high myself if I was the researcher at the time

Unfortunately they've given a... less clear and to be honest contradictory statement to The Athletic, highlighting that they've previously removed players in these circumstances but then also saying they won't remove him until the results of the police investigation are made public. Just got a push notification about it on my phone...

See what you mean. I’m in the ‘remove him’ camp but we’ll see if he’s there or not in the next data update.

I hope that Sports Interactive acts as swiftly as EA Sports have done in removing said individual. Especially since SI are about to incorporate womens football in to FM.

I do however accept the removal of my previous post.

Miles has already said, “Any player who is suspended from their club indefinitely due to legal action is removed from our game when we do data updates. We've done it in the past, we'll do it again in the future.”

    No

Not strictly true as others over the last few pages have stated. Movement is definitely better and less running to the byline and crossing with their none dominant foot.

Thanks for letting me know, looks like i won't be able to play the game i purchased until 5 months post lsunch (March next year ,their usual update cycle).

Mohamed Salah, one of the biggest talents in football, does not play like Mohamed Salah and instead a winger.

Just unreal that this is allowed to be released but then again they did release FM20 then sold people the fix in FM21, so what do i know.

BUT, in the case of Salah (who I obviously have an interest in) I have seen him cut inside and hit left footed shots. It doesn't occur as much as it should do (and I've watched full games) and that is disappointing. Although he is not far off from hitting the goals/assists in my saves as he does in real life. Don't base your opinion on just one post, try it yourself.

he is extremely good. stats are nicely balanced too. watch out for Bobby clark as well. if you hit the high range of his PA he can be a first team player. seems to have a higher PA than Kaide Gordon as well.

I was unsure about changing Clark's PA but presume the Newcastle researcher will have seen him more. May change it during the season.
