We have Oršić. Can play a striker, really quick, great finisher and long distance shooter, scored (hat tricks) on big occasions, ... And he's totally dismissed by Dalić. He'd rather play Lovren up front.

I expect Brazil to go through, but we're not S.Korea. We have enough quality, experience and general self-belief to make it really hard fot them. Most of our players play at the highest of stages, some of them played the WC final and regularly play CL finals, etc. If Brazil walks over us, fair play. They're the first favourite of the competition then IMO.
Not convinced by Argentina at all. Had them as favourites before the competition, but what they're showing isn't convincing. Netherlands isn't convincing either, but I think they can take the win here. for some reason. But it'sa 50-50 tie.
Morocco are tough as nails. Conceded only once, barely, and as shown they're mentally strong. Most of their players are experienced European-born professionals, some of them playing at the likes of PSG and Bayern. Really like last night's Portugal, but not expecting this to be a walkover. Still, Portugal should win.

Morocco aren't very good. Another low quality outfit.
Compared to whom? Certainly not gonna win it, but they're in the QF of the world cup after just beating Spain. Get off your high horse.

Don't think I've seen a better game by Joao Felix than this one tonight. Needs to find a better club ASAP. Superb talent.

This might bite me in the future, but I'm not a fan of Pedri and Gavi either. Pedri is obviously technically superb, but I'm just not buying the hype. Gavi shouldn't be nowhere near Spain's first team IMO.

Strongest group of the tournament.
No wonder our game ended 0-0. Two tactically good and cautious teams ready to go the distance.

Spaincester City.
Strange that they didn't sign Olmo yet. He's such a Pep player.

He did. He said the final would be Cameroon vs Morocco. A total clown.

Yeah. We have a lot in common with Uruguay

Yeah, our team is not an elite set of players, but it's pretty good. We have a good foundation with some emerging players coming through as well. Can't do much better with a population of 3.9 million. QF of the World Cup is a fantastic result. Just look at the teams that will be in the QFs and we're there 2 times in a row with the likes of Germany already at home.
What a lot of people often seem not to realise, a great set of players doesn't equal a great national team that will go far in Cup competitions. It's a very different beast to club football.

We played great football in Euro 2016. A joy to watch. Did nothing. We were beaten by a pragmatic Portugal in the 117.minute after dominating them for the entire match.
This is infinitely better when compared to that. Incredible mentality and players that don't mind playing the extra time and penalties because they know they have a mental advantage. Just another day in the office.
But yeah, would be better if we could finish off teams sooner. It's painful to watch.

As the guy in the Croatian studio says, shame it wasn't Uruguay. That would have been a match.

Since 2002 Brazil didn't win by a 4-goal difference (4-0 vs China) (assuming the score doesn't change to something like 4-1, etc)
Limiting your attacking potential with tactical tinkinering and close wins. That's when you stopped winning the whole thing

As I said on Japan Croatia thread before the game, on their day they just destroy teams like these.

He may be a great penalty saver but have you seen his profile picture on Football Manager?
You mean him looking like he's facing a death sentence? Yeah, looks like that all the time. Has that face in casual conversation.

Livaja usually takes penalties like Jorginho, with that hop. Probably changed his mind mid-run, so he missed.

Phew. That was close. Luckily Livaković is a PK saver through his entire career. Would have been world class if he wasn't that bad at judging crosses. Don't mind it though, since he's still at Dinamo because of it.

Is Baturina going to be any good? (obviously not a LB though)
Yeah. He should be great. Very good player already.

Brazil only beat Japan 1-0 with a penalty goal a few months ago. Brazil beat South Korea 5-1 that same week.
I did say on their day.

There must be another FM wonderkid lurking in Dinamo’s B team somewhere?
Nah. Dinamo u19 team has a right footed CB playing a LB

English paper wrote about it? Didn't even know.
His father's business has been well-known stuff from before Barišić made the NT.
He's our 2nd best LB. Yes, that a depressing fact, but it's true. If Sosa is ill, we have no better options unfortunately. His dodgy father has nothing to do with that fact.

Brazil on their day could win 5-0 against Japan. Some of the reactions in their defense were League 1 level, even today. We were awful at exploiting that.
