  1. Thanks to @Smurf and the others for the advice in this topic. I was going to buy a Macbook Pro but after reading the advice and learning about the need for HQ processors I ended up buying this http://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/laptops-notebooks-and-2-in-1-laptops/inspiron-15-7000-gaming-7577/spd/inspiron-15-7577-laptop/cn57705 With cashback and discounts I got it for £980 which is a couple of hundred cheaper than the MBP. It runs FM2018 like a dream the processing is extremely fast and match engine is great on high quality.
  2. That was on sale for a few weeks and now offer has finished. My mate bought it last week and it is a very impressive laptop.
  3. Any advice on the one below. It is is i5 7300 HQ processor with Nvidia GeForce MX150. Would it be able to handle FM18 with 3d graphics and English, French, German, Italian and Spanish leagues running? Cost is £599 but if I order to today I can get a further 10% off. https://ao.com/product/9s716jd21068-msi-laptop-silver-54098-251.aspx Or should I invest an extra £150 and buy this: https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/ZX553VD-DM969T-ASUS-Gaming-ZX553VD-DM969T_2145527.html Thanks.
  4. Link below is a really good deal for a laptop which will easily run FM18, only thing it lacks is SSD. Use code 10OFFLAPTOP to get price down to £584: http://ao.com/product/gl553vddm985t-asus-laptop-black-50516-251.aspx?WT.srch=1&WT.z_MT=digidip_net&WT.z_RTM=PHG&WT.z_CN=100l1256&WT.z_AG=True+Content&WT.z_AT=&WT.z_KW=digidip_net
  5. Would this be able to run Football Manager? I play 5 leagues, 2d matches with 3d highlights for goals: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/lenovo-yoga-510-14-2-in-1-black-10159840-pdt.html?awc=1599_1500194680_7f17e8482dbcdce591f3b3998880bcf4&srcid=369&xtor=AL-1&cmpid=aff~HotUKDeals~Communities %26 UGC~47868&awid=47868 Thanks for any help.
  6. Arrgghhhh I have been going round and round in circles so would really appreciate some advice. Thought that I would have a budget of around £750 but now have only £450 and cannot work out what would run FM17 well. Laptop would be used for FM17 and general web browsing. FM17 I will play with around 4 leagues active and I like to watch the 3D at decent quality. Initially wanted a smaller 13 inch laptop but now would go upto a 15.6 inch one. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. There is going to be a Dell Inspiron 5000 (15 inch) which looks decent for £350 at 12pm: http://www.dell.com/uk/p/deals#!dlpgid=special-deals?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs&dgc=IR&cid=Q4_CONS_BF_Monday_UK&lid=genhp1&ref=hp1
  8. I have found this, what do people think re being able to play FM17 and value for money: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/lenovo-yoga-510-14-2-in-1-black-10146249-pdt.html?awc=1599_1479549681_6603f7ca632cb57bd75a46968ec9c32a&srcid=369&xtor=AL-1&cmpid=aff~HotUKDeals~Communities %26 UGC~47868&istCompanyId=bec25c7e-cbcd-460d-81d5-a25372d2e3d7&istItemId=qqpxmxaq&istBid=t&awid=47868
  9. Thanks Mate, that is very helpful and will certainly looking into these as they both look very good and within budget. Only other one that I looked at was Dell XPS 13 but I guess that is total overkill for what I will be using it for?
  10. I am hoping that someone can help me with some advice. I am in the market for a 13inch laptop. I am prepared to pay upto £1000 although anything cheaper than that would be a big bonus. I will mainly be using the laptop for web browsing, working on MS Office applications and of course playing Football Manager 2017. I am looking for something that can handle the 3D engine with medium/high graphics on. I am only interested in a 13 inch machine as need something that is lightweight and portable. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
  11. I have decided not to buy a Macbook Pro, I was going to buy it for work purposes but thought better of it given the expense. I do however want a ultra-portable laptop, ideally 13 inch screen that will run FM2016 with the 3D engine and medium/high settings. My budget is circa £400-£600, can anyone recommend something? As ever any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Thanks Smurf. That is a shame about the graphics card as I do prefer to play with 3D matches. Would getting a version with Intel HD graphics 5300 or 6000 be better?
  13. Going to be buying a 13 inch Macbook Pro, need it for work reasons but want it to be able to also play FM16, is the configuration powerful enough to play FM16? 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display 2.7GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz 8GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM 128GB PCIe-based Flash Storage Intel Iris Graphics 6100
  14. Right, I have narrowed it down to 2 laptops and was wondering if someone can advise which one is better, they are both Asus and both £699: http://www.simplyasus.com/ASUS_N55SL-S1188V_1338594.html http://www.simplyasus.com/ASUS_N56VM-S4034V_1218891.html
