  1. Youth Intake Review: not sure why im getting so many poor personalities, exactly half of the intake is unambitious... HOYD: giving him one more year...
  2. Season 2030/31 - League 1 Couldnt have asked for anything more on the field this season. After spending a considerable amount of time in the relegation spots last year, we definitely improved and were close to the playoff spots whilst never really contending. Season started off with a testimonial for legacy goalkeeper and captain Boney. Press clearly havent been following us as he definitely wasnt in his 0th year and played a lot more than 43 games! At 32 years old, it was time to transition him out with a couple of great prospects to go with, ended up selling him for a small sum after his testimony. He wanted a new challenge anyways. The board again went against my protests in selling a couple of my best players, luckily in this case Lucas decided to go to Bournemouth so ended up getting the higher transfer fee. Dont know why they would approve the other offer! The disappointing thing is the % of profit clause in stead of % of next sale, its stung me a few times already in this save. The positive thing is the board finally approved to improve the youth facilities which cost us whatever bank balance we had from the transfers. What should have cost us 1.6m to improve our youth facilities to Average, ended up needing a fricken 7m loan to complete, like wtf man!?!?!? This has seriously pissed me off! Seems like they are absolutely bat sh*t at completing projects: On top of that, our youth intakes have been really poor the past couple of seasons with a lot of really poor personalities despite having a determined HOYD. Will give him one more year YI preview: Youth Intake: Next year Im hoping for consolidation again, have approved for my best striker to be sold but I have a really decent prospect to replace him. Im a bit thin in defence as in the summer transfer window my left back got poached at a really cheap minimum transfer clause. We go again!
  3. Season 2029/30 - League 1 After back to back promotions, i actually think we've moved too quick to be in this league and I was up for a tough season. Was a little surprised going undefeated in the first four games however post that reality hit. By game 16 we were in the relegation spots and by the mid point of the season we were still there. We then had a decent little run going and in 12 games later we were only 5 points off the play off spots, thats how tight the league was. After losing the next game, i decided to blood in the youngsters for the remainder of the season and we rightfully dropped off to finish a respectful 17th. On the player front, we lost our best prospect from the YI under stupid circumstances but we also lost out box to box midfielder in a bid the chairman believed was too good to refuse. We're making a huge loss each month circa 250k so we either need to get lucky on the cup front or we need sell a player every other year or so. We did get lucky to get drawn West Ham in the FA Cup for the second time in 3 years, unfortunately again it was at home and not away! We did score 3 goals against them, however they scored 6 so no replay this time round. Youth Preview: Youth Intake: possibly our worst intake to date, not sure if this is the HOYD or the fact we're in a higher league with higher standards now Next year is to consolidate and bring in my GK youth prospect to overtake one of my last legacy players and captain of the squad and to try not lose anyone else. My best player only has 1 year left and is refusing to resign so it'll be interesting how that develops.
  4. Season 2028/29 - League 1 First season in League 1, was hoping for a mid table finish whilst pumping in some new stock into the first team, the board wanted to fight bravely against relegation. The campaign started off being a relegation dogfight but then suddenly became a push for promotion. After 7 games we were in the relegation zone, but then only 1 loss in the next 12 games started the momentum back up the table and then into the play off zones where we spent the back half of the season. A strong win against 4th place Swindon in the second last game of the season sealed back to back promotions! Promotion to League 1 means we need a new stadium and finally get out of our 5k capacity stadium we packed out every game. Finances have been a struggle especially as we didnt get the cash cow from the FA Cup or League Cup. We did however make it to Wembley for the Papa whatever Cup and faced QPR in front of 46,000 fans. A game we should have won after the red card! Not the biggest stadium being built but it is an improvement! We also got our Youth Category upgraded back to level 3. We didnt have any funds to do anything else and are still in the red. Youth Preview: Youth Intake: my weakest part of the squad are my wingers so this is much required And another rookie mistake by me saw this happen, he had already made his debut post signing a youth contract and even scored in the league: @glennukthis ones for you, my superstar DM from the VNL that I sold for 825k and 30% sell on is now being sold for only 200k
