  1. Finished my first season, a season in which I experimented a lot with the tactics, and I'm still not happy with it :D Ive started with a flat 4-3-3, changed to a midfield with a DM, than I've opted for moving of the strikers to the AM position, then I changed Ronaldo to AML Inside forward and tbh I've been going back and forth with the formation, but in the end I've settled for the 4-1-2-2-1 asymetric.

    Serie A

Serie A started pretty well with a great win 3-0 over Inter in the first fixture, and in fact we went into a really good start of the season, with both us and Atalanta scoring really well, Inter started pretty bad struggeling to get points and wandering around 15th place after ~5 fixtures. Anyways as the season progressed we've started to build our lead, not in a very fancy way but always 4-5 points clear off the 2nd place. In the end we've won the league 6 points clear off Atalanta, with Lazio and Inter securing the CL spots. Milan and Roma with the Europa League, and Sassuolo going for the Conference League.

Some notable results during the season:

    Champions League

    Group Stage

Got drawn into a group with Rennes, Barcelona and Krasnodar, finished first over Barca by away goals - 2-1 (H) and 2-3(A)

    spacer.png

    First Knockout stage

A  very unlucky draw in the first knockout stage where I faced R.Madrid, but after an goaless draw in Madrid, we've won 3-1 at home putting us through!

    Quarter Final

Our luck wasnt any better in the quarter-final where I've faced Bayern,  in fact this is where our CL journey came to an end, but not without a fight!

A very dissapointing lose at Home 1-2

    spacer.png

We arrived with a mission in Munich, and went 2-0 up! But Bayern did managed to score two to draw it, Morata had a one on one in the very last 94th minute but he did hit the post.. and this saw us go out of the competition, a real pity.

In the end Liverpool went to win the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Porto in the final.

    Coppa Italia

Well not even worth mentioning, as we went out on penalties to Verona in the first round. Well at least that saved us some stamina ;).

Opted for clausules of Morata and McKennie,  Weston was a no-brainer, I had a little of a headache with Morata as he wasnt the greatest performer ever apart from games where he went wild like Roma with 4 goals, but remember from the old saves that AI likes to buy him for 60M, so I felt 45 is a pretty decent price. Donnaruma and Eric Garcia nothing much to say here, couldnt say no ;), Nobody contested me on Gigio, and I've beat PSG to Garcia. Apart from that Audero who is probably my most usual transfer in every FM haha a homegrown solid backup keeper on a cheap. While having the money I've also went for Zaniolo - he's a player I really really like so I decided to splash some for him 41M straight and 8M over 3 installments.

    Transfers Out:

    spacer.png

Generally Szczęsny and Douglas finansed the mercato for me, and the goal was to clear the wage budget from players like Douglas, De Sciglio, Rugani, Pjaca. Szczęsny wasnt needed after Donnarumas arrival, and damn I've go mad! Tottenham offered me a whooping €85M at first!!!! Which I of course accepted, but he refused their contract offer  And he was unhappy that I offer him to other clubs, we had some argument through interactions, and tried to attract clubs to him again, Spurs werent happy to offer anything close to the 85 from before, but in the end we've settled a deal he accepted this time at €56M. Douglas was really good for Munich but they didnt buy him out of the loan, but came with a 40M offer afterward in the summer (same way as in my last Juve save). Apart from that Rugani to Milan for €12M, and Frabotta to PSV for €11M. Loaned out Eric Garcia as this was a clausule he wanted to have when I was signing him on a free - and I didnt negiotate that as I have some good CB lineup as of now. Apart from that I thought about offloading Alex Sandro and playing Pellegrini and Ruggeri - but in the end I've went to loan Ruggeri out and leave Sandro for one more year.

Current Team and plans for the future

    spacer.png

This is my team as of now, and Im pretty happy with the results, doing solid. After the season I'm thinking to part ways with Ronaldo, he's doing well but not crazy good, and his contract (€1.1M) hurts me a lot - Im spending €4.5M from my wage budget so around 25% of it is consumed by the Portuguese. Apart from that I definetly need to look for a RB position during the summer. Went through the obvious options but they all seem sooo expensive and now I'm targeting Marco Kana from Anderlecht and I'll try to retrain him to the RB - he seems PERFECT stat wise, I love such all rounded players, at the moment cant get an offer accepted but managed to unsettle him already and we'll see how it goes.

As of Cristiano replacement I'm not sure yet, but I'll review my options. Apart from that I'm thinking about selling Demiral - he's good but I like more technical defenders and I would want to start pushing Papetti into the first team, and get some more Ital-Juve feel to the squad :D, and the Turkish international could really boost my budget.

  2. So as said before - started a new save with Juve. Gonna try to keep it low with spendings so most likely not exeeding €40-50M, and I'll try to keep the side Italian where possible.

    Bought:

    • Locatelli - €25M + €7.5M over 3 installments from Sassuolo
    • Papetti - €2.2M - from Brescia
    • Diego Costa - 0M  - free agent
    • Thiago Almada - €9M from Velez
    • Mattego Ruggeri - contract unprotected Atalanta
    • Brian Oddei - contract unprotected  Sassuolo

    Sold:

    • Ramsey - €22.5M to PSG
    • Bernardeschi - €13.5M to Napoli
    • some youngsters for combined €2.5~€3M

Decided to build a flat 4-3-3 which might not be the very best for season1 Juve but whatever :D needed a rotation striker that's why I went for Diego Costa whos a free agent, Locatelli was always my dream in FM but he always went to R. Madrid in my saves so very happy to be able to pick him up this time. Papetti, Ruggeri and Oddei all seem great prospects for the future. And Almada as a rotation/backup for STs. As of the sellings  more than happy that PSG and Barcelona were interested in Ramsey at the start of  the save, and offered me really good money for him, so a no brainer. Bernardeschi is not needed as I'm not using wingers, so again more than good money. I might be short on MCs though, so I might loan someone as I proceed.

    First team:

Szczesny - Sandro Chiellini De Ligt Cuadrado - Arthur Locatelli McKennie - Ronaldo Morata Dybala

So far 3 games into the season, did beat Inter 3-0 at home in the first game of the season and followed that with another win over Benevento 2-0. Unfortunately the trip to Cagilari didnt end well as we lost 1-2 after McKennies red card at the game start.  In the Champions League I'm in group with Barcelona, Krasnodar and Rennes.

Lads. After a succesful and enjoyable Roma save last year (And me getting tired of everyone in the Premier League playing 5 at the back or 4 at the back with 2 defensive midfielders and the like), I'm looking into perhaps going for another Serie A save for the final patch.

Was personally looking into restoring AC Milan towards the glory years with some good foundations being there in Tonali, Donnaruma and Leao, but Inter with players like Lautaro and Barella are an attractive challenge too.

How is the long-term perspective in the Serie A? I know last edition there were still plenty of teams playing their own game so all the games didn't feel the same, but in the Premier League this edition the moment you achieve a bit of success everyone parks a bus that would make MOurinho envious. I'd love to hear your experiences.

Depends, if you go for a dream team, or simply have a very very good team its easy - English teams, Barcelona Real and PSG unsettele every single player of Serie A easily resulting in AI selling all the best players from their teams. After 2 seasons as Juve - Milan sold Leao, Kessie and  Theo Hernandes didnt opt for Tonali. Inter sold Lautaro, Barella, Hakimi, Skriniar and they buy players which arent as good as the ones they replace.  When I played Sociedad - same scenario  its rather stupid everyone Juve, Inter, Milan sold their stars and bought some average players. For example Juve sold De Ligt for 42M euros, because he requested a new contract - very realistic :D, and they bought some average CB for the same money.

So generally it depends what you're looking after, if you're looking for a tight league then you wont find it here, when picking a top club - mainly because its ridiculously easy to unsettle a player in Serie a, for example I had a Juve team who won 2 CL titles in a row, 3 Serie A titles, and if PSG just declared interested your player is unhappy, even they did never go through the first knockout stage of CL during 3 years, City, Barcelona, even Chelsea without CL football unsettled my players. Coming back to the league I would say it's easy with Juve, Inter maybe even Milan. If you'll  make some restrictions/limitations with a top tier club, like maximum fee spending etc it might be fun. Teams which definetly look like fun in Italy is Atalanta, apart from that the lower tier clubs seem fun for example Bologna.

  4. What a heart breaking week for my Sociedad team. After a very lucky draw in first KO stage where I faced Salzburg, I drew Lazio in the quarter final after losing 1-2 at home, we managed to win 2-1 in Rome, and we've lost in penalties :(, and 3 days after we faced Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final where after winning 3-0 we conceded a 3-3 goal by Messi in the 94th minute, due to injuries I had to play Monreal and he lost a header to the little guy, and in the over-time they scored 2 more, making me lose 3-5 :(. So a very dissapointing week.

On the other hand I'm top in La Liga, the giants Real and Barcelona are loosing points like crazy - Real (21 - 8 - 3 record) and Barcelona is 6th! (18-5-9 record). We're rocking the table with 26 wins 2 draws and 4 loses, 5 points clear off 2nd Atletico! So on this field its just awesome.

What's bad is that I'm strugeling with injuries A LOT, and I'm clueless what's wrong here, never had such issues in other clubs, maybe some staff/object related things are the issue at Sociedad, I'll have to look into that.

  5. Finally managed to end my season with Sociedad after a few busy days lately.

La Liga - We managed to finish 2nd! A huge success for the squad, Barcelona won the league with 96pts, we did score 86, and Real Madrid finished 3rd with 81, Atletico came 4th with 77. Valencia and Villarreal finished 5th and 6th and Betis secured the last spot for Europe with 7th place. We were first for a long period of time, but a crisis happened around 26th fixture and we lost contact to Barcelona. Anyways a HUGE success, and I'm really really happy about it. Surpsingly enough Real sacked Zidane, and Atletico sacked Simeone after the season, with Allegri signing for Madrid and Sarri coming to Atleti.

Europa League - We lost in semi finals to Lazio who it in the end and they also won Serie A (seem bit overpowered in the game compared to IRL). It was a good result in the end, but being in the semis makes you want more ;). We've lost 0-2 in Rome, and a 2-1 win at home couldnt get us through. On the way here we've beaten Sivasspor comfortably 8-2 and 3-2. Celtic 1-0 and 2-0, and Arsenal 3-0,  2-4.

Copa Del Rey - This was the trophy we won! Absolutely delighted with the result in the cup, we've beaten Barcelona and Real on the way to the final, and the home semi final game vs R. Madrid was probably the best one we played all season. But starting we've faced Leganes 2-1, Real Murcia 4-0, Barcelona 3-1, Real Madrid 5-0!!!! at home, and losing the 2nd leg 0-3 in Madrid couldnt hold us. The Final vs Eibar was won 2-0 after goals by Merino and Willian Jose.

    Summer Transfer window

Sfter such a great season, a lot of my players aroused interest, and Zaldua asked to leave, and I've decided to accept that. Starting from the departures.

    Transfers Out:

    • Jon Guridi - €12.5M to Bournemouth
    • Joseba Zaldua - €12M to FC Porto
    • Robin Le Normand - €33M to Borussia Dortmund - I had an offer of €43M which I have accepted from Man U, but he refused the contract offered by United, Liverpool also declared interest in him, making him unhappy at the club, and in the end I did let him to BVB for €10M less than originally agreed, but I had Eric Garcia joining me on a free transfer so I could let one of my CBs go.
    • Alexander Isak - €80M to Tottenham - Well I felt its too much to decline, Isak was a great player, maybe even the best player in the club looking at potential, but he was always tired dunno why was that happening, he doesnt look like he would have fitness problems stat wise, but he played only 22 out of 38 La Liga games, which was quite dissappointing, he did very well scoring 18, but wasnt happy that I cant use him every time I need him.
    • Luca Sangalli - €7M to Sassuolo - an asset from the B team, who looks very decent tbh, but I had a lot of MCs so I decided to sell him

Total of a whooping €145M was gathered from those sales

    Transfers In:

    • Gaetano Castrovilli - €16.5M rising to potential €18.5M from Fiorentina - last season I was struggling at Mezzala position, and after looking on a few players Gaetano looks like the perfect solution for the team, Ceballos was the other option but the Spaniard had huge wage expectations.
    • Eric Garcia - €0M from City - the Spanish CB was leaving City on a free after the season, suprisingly only me and Lyon offered contract and here we are. Unfortunately he broke his foot in the 2nd game of the new season, so he's out for 3 months now.
    • Ivan - €3M from Ponte Preta - A Brazilian keeper who looks very decent, as I released Moya after the end of the season I needed a backup keeper, and decided to go for Ivan - the board wanted to cancel the transfer as they though the player doesnt meet the clubs philisophy, but managed to convience them to buy my only non-EU player in the team.
    • Pablo Maffero - €4.8M from Stuttgart - Needed a backup RB after Zaldua requested to leave, and the Spaniard did fit the profile
    • Myron Boadu - €50M from AZ - My biggest spending to replace Isak, I was looking at many options - Gabriel Jesus was transfer listed at City for €43M, but the board didnt want to let me sign him, so I was looking at some other options - scouts recommended Boadu just in time, AZ accepted a €50M bid from Milan, I've equalled their offer and he chose me over the Italian club - probably mainly to CL football who Milan missed on. What can I say so far I'm really happy with the Dutch - he scored 4 goals vs Sevilla in the 2nd fixture of the new season!

    Biggest transfers of the window:

    • Harry Kane from Tottenham to PSG €107M
    • Ansu Fati - from Barcelona to Man United - €89M rising to €137M
    • Christian Pulisic from Chelsea to Barcelona - €91M
    • Alex Isak - from me to Tottenham - €80M
    • Thomas Lemar from Atletico to City - €77M rising to €87M

Apart from that Barcelona bought Theo Hernandez for €62M from Milan, and Aouar from Lyon for €63M so some heavy spendings there. Real Madrid have brought in Azpilicueta from Chelsea for €27M and Gabriel Jesus for €28.5M rising to €51M.

As of the targets I'm looking at there's Odriozola from R.Madrid who most likely will be transfer  listed somewhat soon, after they prefer Azpilicueta in the first team. I'm also monitoring Pau Torres from Villarreal, who I would really love to strenghten my defence. Apart from that there are some dream transfers like Pedri but its unlikely to happen.

    First Team:

    GK: Remiro

    LB: Munoz

    CB: Zubeldia

    CB: Elustondo/Garcia

    RB: Gorosabel

    MC: Merino

    MC: Castrovilli

    AML: Oyarzabal

    AMC: David Silva

    AMR: Januzaj

    ST: Boadu

  6. 7 games into the season, and it looks just crazy good for us. Start of the season was just crazy - Valencia (A), Atletico (H), and Sevilla(A), followed by some easier games vs Eibar, Huesca and Osasuna, and one of the key matchups in a game vs Villarreal.

We've started awesome at Mestalla beating Valencia 4-0  what a game. The week after a game noone expected to win vs Atletico, but we've managed to do it after an action packed game we've managed to grab a 3-2 win, with a magnificent performance by Oyarzabal. This took us to a trip to Sevilla to face the key rivals for the Champions League spot - and we've stepped up once again winning 2-0 with Isak scoring 2.  The easier rivals didnt cause us much trouble, we've won 1-0, 4-2 and 3-0. An absolute mad start we've won 6 games out of 6. Each series has an end, and we've drew 0-0 vs Villarreal away, which is still a good result for our goals.

Table wise, R. Madrid is first tied points with us at 19, Barcelona is 3rd with 15 points along with Betis and Athletic who also have 15 points.  Atletico lost a lot of points at the start of the season, but they seem to come back - currently at 7th place with 11 points. Sevilla is only 15th! they had lost all 4 opening games, now after getting 2 wins and 1 draw they start to collect some points, but for the sake of my battle with them for CL its just perfect :)

In the Europa League we've got drawn to a group with Arsenal, Malmo and NK Lokomotiva, so far won vs Malmo 3-1 and 7-0 at home vs Lokomotiva. Now off to face Arsenal for the 1st place in the group.

Looking awesome so far, what's worse is that PSG is starting to sniff around my players - Gorosabel, and the English clubs are after Januzaj, who I might sell as he seems to be injured super often.

  7. Start of  first season update

Aranzabal in the spotlight. (I've wanted to play as Xabi Alonso but apparently he is the Sociedad B manager :D)

    spacer.png

After being appointed as the head coach, Ive started to complete my coaching staff, Pep Segura was appointed as my assistant coach, Ivan Cordoba joined the coaching staff along with some less known names.

    Transfers In:

    • Anel Ahmedhodzic - €3.8M from Malmo FF - the squad lacked another CB and this fella looked like the perfect fit. Cheap price, low wage expectations, and he looks like an awesome prospect.

And I havent sold anyone, one of the things I started with was extending Isak contract upping his release clausule to €130M, I'll try to do the same with Januzaj, Merino, and Munoz - this is something I definetly need to learn - the clausules - havent managed a team in Spain since FM2007 when I had a save with the mighty Villarreal and Riquelme.

    First Team:

Still have to learn my squad and the players I have but most likely the first team will look like this:

    GK: Alex Remiro

    LB: Munoz

    CB: Zubeldia

    CB: Elustondo

    RB: Gorosabel

    MC: Illaramendi

    MC: Merino

    AML: Oyarzabal

    AMC: David Silva

    AMR: Januzaj

    ST: Isak

My goal is to get to the Champions League, which might be hard as Sevilla, Villarreal and maybe even Valencia seem to have stronger teams, and obviously Barcelona, Real and Atletico seem way out of the range, making us fight for the final spot. Hopefully we can get there!

  8. After the departure of Zaniolo, I've moved Chiesa to AMR - guess I like him a bit more now after the game vs Milan IRL last Wednesday :P. Anyways I've started to look for a target I could splash money for, Bentancur most likely will be sold in the summer and I will get rid of all the cry babies of the team  And I started to look at Pedri, who looks crazy good, but when going into the Barcelona first team, I noticed a guy named - Ilaix Moriba, and woah this guy looks like Pogba in 2014, crazy physical attributes, great long shots, great passing, very good mentals, and 186cm height! Crazy good season 16 goals and 14 assists from MC for them (as of March 16th). I knew this is my target! I scouted and my scouts rated I would need to pay his clausule of €174M, which I was ready to do, but I was like ah I'll offer less and see, €110M was rejected, I raised my offer to €150M and they have accepted it, probably could be bought cheaper, but with the sales I've made t hat doesnt bother me that much. Have to admit I'm super hyped and excitied, and cant wait till the end of the season so he joins.

Had a bit of a headache because I have Passafiume (regen from first season who has 5* potential for MC) and I also have Tonali in that spot so pretty packed up there. But the problem with Passafiume is that his personality is "Unambitious" I tried to mentor him but no success there. So in case he wont reach his potential Im backed up, if he does I can move Moriba to AMC and kind of naturally replace Milinkovic-Savic.

    Moriba in March 2024

    spacer.png

  9. Chelsea unsettled Zaniolo - obviously Im super annoyed how easy it is to unsettle my  players, usually just an offer from a team who wins nothing, 4th place in PL last season, 4th this season - yeah I would also want to leave for that leaving a two in a row Champions League winner :) They have offered €100M straight, I declined, Zaniolo of course cried and requested to be transfer listed bla bla bla, Chelsea increased the offer to €130M and I negotiated to €223M and setting time of transfer to end of season, with the thought that if I sell him then I will on a record fee, breaking the Mbappe record. Apparently thats cool for Chelsea, so I accepted. (even though I will have to give €55M to Roma), so "only" €163M left for me on this.

Not really happy letting him go, but I also got a bit mad he requested to leave, and got rid of him espescially with that money on the table. We'll see who will take his spot - either I will put Chiesa in the spot, or I will splash on Greenwood or maybe even Mbappe I dunno. Maybe I will try to buy Kulusevski back if thats possible :P

I am thinking of starting a Serie A game. The teams I am thinking of are Genoa, Bologna, Cagilari or Verona save. Can someone give me some pluses or managing either of these teams as I sort of know the Italian leagues but not this season at least.

I have had a great save with Parma in FM2020 and hoping to replicate that with a new team.

I would say Bologna sounds like the best team out of those, you're having awesome players in Orsolini, Tomiyasu and Musa Barrow  and some very nice prospects in Vignato, Skov Olsen, Svanberg, looks like a very fun save.

  11. Yeah I have overpaid on the Italian players both Orsolini and Castrovili were quoted pretty high, but whatever - I already am at the stage that I dont really need money in the budget. I chose Abraham for the reason you have mentioned his physical presence, I like to have a strong forward if playing a single stiker. Kovacić looks really good, and tbh I dont understand why Chelsea listed him so cheap, but I guess its because they splashed 100M+ on De Jong and Odeegard, what makes me happy is that he accepted a "first team" contract so no probs using him in rotation. So generally the team got even more complete now, as the bench is even stronger and has more depth than last season, some players need some time to develop to get to the level of the players they are replacing but I think I got a better team once again.

  12. dddSeason 3 update

    Serie A

Just an incredible season, absolutely crazy - won the leage with 107 points 35 wins 2 draws 1 lose, and whats the most impressive thing I've lost only 8 goals during the season, madness! Roma came 2nd with 87 points, Milan in 3rd 80pts, Lazio in 4th 69 points. Inter with a very very bad 8th place, but they have won the Europa League final vs Lazio so they are qualified for CL.

    Coppa Italia

I played reserves for the whole season here, and treated it completely as a tournament for the backup guys, and we've managed to win it in penalties vs Lazio after a 0-0 game, a very long penalty shootout with Szczęsny scoring the last penalty giving us a 10-9 win.

    Champions League

We've managed to defend the title, wasnt an easy run. First knockout stage vs last years finalists Lyon and we won 1-0 and 2-1,  Quarter finals vs Atletico 2-0 and 2-2, Semi final vs PSG  3-1 at home and 1-1 away.  And the final vs RB Leipzig won 2-0.

Other cups of the season were the Club World Cup at the very beginning which we managed to win - Quarter final 4-4 vs R.Madrid and won in penalties, semifnal 2-1 vs PSG after extra time, and the final vs Liverpool which we won 2-1.   And the UEFA Super Cup was lost vs Chelsea 1-3.

    Transfers

Quite an interesting transfer window I had, as Cristiano signed for PSG, along with Alex Sandro, and I also wanted to get rid of Arthur  not that he was performing bad, but Tonali grew to the point he can't stay on the bench, and I want to promote him to the first team. To be honest it was quite an unrealistic transfer window, and I overpayed for a few players here, but yeah it's the start of the 4th season, and it usually becomes like  this with City, PSG, Chelsea and others  throwing silly offers around.

eh the post editor somehow canceled alost the whole posts dont want to write all of that again.. so just the transfers fees no descriptions...

    Transfers In:

    • Erling Haaland - €105M from Dortmund
    • Ricardo Orsolini - €59M from PSG
    • Castrovili - €53M from Fiorentina
    • Mateo Kovacic - €48M from Chelsea
    • Tammy Abraham €40M from Chelsea
    • Raspadori - €10M from Sassuolo
    • Calabria - €10M from Atalanta
    • Calafiori joining me after the summer  transfer

    Outs:

    • Arthur - €72M to Liveprool
    • Luca Waldschmidt - €66M to Manchester United
    • Georginio Wijnaldum - €25M to PSG
    • Wojciech Szczęsny - €22M to Milan
    • Cristiano Ronaldo - €0M to PSG
    • Alex Sandro - €0M to PSG
    • Raspadori loaned out to Sampdoria
    • Passafiume (my best looking regen 5*) loaned out to Parma

Current first team:  Donnaruma - McKennie De Ligt Van Dijk Pellegrini - Bentancur Tonali - Milinkovic Savic Zaniolo Fati - Haaland

Reserves: Audero, Tomiyasu, Calabria, Mancini, Bonucci, Calafiori, Kovacic, Castrovili, Chiesa, De Paul,  Orsolini, Bernardeschi, Abraham

Oh and one of those "big transfers"

I'll give him a run in the team - he made me promise that he'd get minutes playing as a Ball Playing Defender at CB, but I'll use him where I see fit. :') Pellegrini wanted to play as a FB(D) - I don't play with wingers so sod that!

On a slightly different note, Locatelli's signed a contract with a champions league club release clause of £20mill. Anyone used him?

This "Wants to play in xxx position" is super annoying this year, had 2-3 players requesting transfer list because he wants to play in xxx role - wtf, after half a season they usually were happy to stay bla bla bla, but thats an annoying feature. Now when offering new contracts I remove the role promise every time.

Locatelli looks awesome, on mine he plays at Real Madrid and they wont even let me approach him, If I were you that's a no brainer - home grown player for Milan also! If that team you showed last page is still the one you use, I would drop Gagliardini for Manu every day, 20M is just a steal.

  14. 2 hours ago, JRS192 said:

Great timing on securing Calafiori then. How's Pellegrini done for you there? Ronaldo's a big loss aswell, assuming you're going for Haaland then?

Shame about Tomiyasu, was he any good for you? I've not had chance to play since signing him. Calabria's a no-brainer if you can get him. Imagine Atalanta took advantage of his contract situation, I had Inter and Dortmund putting in £14mill bids at the start of the season but was able to get him to renew his contract. He's also really good at LB so will help with the Sandro situation.

I used Tomiyasu as a cover CB/RB first season, and he was  very solid - 30(7) games in all comps, 2 goals 8 assists, and this season he plays as a cover RB 13(7) games and he noted 2 assists. I would be more than happy to keep him, but Liverpool unsettled him and I just can't give him the time/role he wants. But you will also be annoyed with those stupid international breaks, and Asian Cup  in January/February where you miss a really needed player in a very hot time of the season. So most likely we're parting ways at the end of the season, with Calabria or Mukiele will come in to cover.

As of Pellegrini I'm more than happy with him, no difference if I play Sandro or Luca there, so can only praise him.

  15. February 3rd season, this time not much happening, no transfers in and no transfers out performed. Cristiano and Alex Sandro both werent interested in extending their deals with me - quite surprising tbh, anyway both are departing to PSG at the end of the season - they fricking love my players lol. I'm super happy I've secured Calafiori in the summer for an end of the season transfer, Roma found super form on the save, and they are sitting 2nd behind me, in fact just 2 pts behind! So I'm guessing they wouldnt be happy to sell, and this way I managed to have him secured.

Most likely Tomiyasu will be leaving in summer - he's unhappy requested a transfer, and well I just cant give him first team slot, and Im super annoyed with the Japanese national team calendar, in January when I have a hell lot of games, he's not at the club - very annoying, I'll try to replace him with Calabria - he's at Atalanta now and I missed him in the summer for just 8M Euros...
