  1. Don’t think it’s allowed to share to the page so I will inbox you.
  2. Finally decided to start my new Man Utd save. I did a save in the beta but this is going to be my proper Man Utd save. Started this save slightly differently though, I downloaded an update with the real life results, and decided to start in January. I decided to start in January for 2 reasons, there isn't many games in Jan so gives me time to sort staff, tactics etc. The other reason is we had just come off a terrible December in real life with these results, and were probably at our worst. So we start the save with us in 7th, 9 points off of top 4, so thought it would just bring a nice challenge at the beginning of the save and something a bit different. On the cups, the update can't replicate those, so we are still in the champs league. But to keep it semi realistic I am going to holiday those games to get knocked out, though we have Bayern so will probably lose anyway haha. Disabled the Jan window, but I am bringing in some staff. All of these I have used on previous saves and are great coaches, there are a couple more who I can't get at the moment so will finish my staff rebuild in the summer. The main focus on my save is I want to build the team around Mainoo, Garnacho, Hojlund, Amad plus one or 2 others like Lacey and Amass if they develop well. To start with I am just using a standard 4-2-3-1, but I want to build the team to my tactic from my last save which is this: So far have done 1 game which was the fa cup 3rd round against Middlesborough in which we won 5-2, with Garnacho, Amad and Mainoo all scoring.
  3. Mainoo should have definitely had an upgrade. The club ownership should be interesting. Will have a look later, so am prepared to start my new Man Utd save in the next few weeks. Wasn’t happy with how my beta save went so this will be 2nd chance to build the squad.
  4. I am. Started a save with Lyon did 4 seasons with them, then got the Juve job. Currently in my 4th season with Juve now.
  5. I ended my previous Man Utd save after 4 seasons, as I messed the summer up and just wasn't happy with my team or the balance of the team. But with how bad we are doing in real life, am really tempted by the your world mode for another Man Utd save. Redo the whole summer, as Hojlund is the only summer signing I like, the others I think we could of definitely done better for the money spent. There would even be a temptation to sell Bruno and Rashford down the line, in fact the whole team bar Mainoo, Martinez and Garnacho .
  6. So my Lyon save starts, I'm looking forward to the challenge, and a challenge it has been. I started with the 1st window disabled so I could work with what I had and gauge how bad this team was. Season 1 went as expected, we were terrible and very inconsistent but we just about scraped 7th place. We actually had the 2nd best defence in the league, but our problem was scoring goals, only scoring 45 goals in the league. This shows the problem, if Lacazette didn't score we struggled. But overall I was happy to get 7th, as I felt the europa conference would be a nice early trophy to try and win. The summer was very busy and we did alot of business in and out. We brought in a lot of young players to freshen the team up, and players we can build this team around or make big profit on. Season 2 was a another difficult one, in November we were in 11th and on the verge of the sack, but we managed to sort ourselves out and put in a good run until the end of season. So in the league, we managed to salvage 7th again. We were only 5 points off 4th, so its an improvement. Now I said I was happy to be in the conference league as I thought would be a good chance to win an early trophy. And we won it, so that's 1 trophy in the bag. Villarreal were the hardest team in the competition, and once we knocked them out I was confident of winning the final. The conference league also sums our season up, which was the opposite to season 1. This season we had no problem with scoring goals, but we couldn't stop conceding, zero clean sheets in the comp. I also looked and in 51 games we only kept 9 clean sheets. The unsung hero of this team and season was Alvero. In season 1 I didn't use him at all and was looking to sell, but no one was interested. So I kept him and re trained as a defensive winger on the right and what a season he had. Was our top scorer in the conference league, won player of the tournament and got an assist in the final. Our best players of the season were: Bardghji a great signing, Mainoo I used and developed on my Man Utd save and he's brilliant so no surprise how well he performed in the french league, and then obviously Alvero. So now onto season 3. We have a deal in place to sign De Vrij for free, he's now 33 but he's a quality CB and will do a job for 2 seasons. But my main focus is a new keeper, a RB and another midfielder. I would like to keep Mainoo but not sure will be possible. Sorry for the long post haha .
  7. But with 9 technique and 10 first touch he’s not a very good ball playing CB for me. Also the anticipation, positioning and vision are all important and Keanu is better in all 3. Also has got better pace and is both footed so could play either side.
  8. Keanu easily for me. He has much better mental's, and for a ball playing CB, has better technique and first touch.
  9. So season 4 is done. First off we got an incredible player through the youth intake. Easily the best so far. He even got 2 sub appearances at the end of the season, scoring his first goal. Lets start with the cups. Carabao cup. We won the carabao cup for the 2nd year in a row. Also we have now faced Man city in 3 finals, winning all 3. We lost out in the quarter finals of both the FA cup and champs league, which meant we couldn't defend those titles. Now the league, the one trophy we hadn't won. We dominated the league from game 1, there was just no stopping us. We had the best defence and best attack. We are also currently 17 league games unbeaten, with our last defeat coming away to City on new years day. What made the league win even sweeter, was the game that clinched the title. Beating Liverpool at Old Trafford to clinch the title was such an incredible way to finally win the league. Hojlund ended the season as the top goal scorer with 21 league goals. Bruno won player of the year, while Mainoo won the young player of the year for the 2nd season in a row. So a league and cup double ended a brilliant season. Here were the player stats. Thuram as a defensive winger was just incredible, and had our highest average rating. Garnacho and Mainoo continue to do well and I was very happy with their contributions. Hojlund was much better overall this season, must of known I was looking at Evan Ferguson. So going into the summer for season 5, I don't think I'm going to do much business. Johnstone will leave on a free, so will need a new back up RB. Wan Bissaka wants to leave and Toney will be sold. I am a little torn whether to buy Ferguson, or give Van Persie more of an opportunity along with Denner.
  10. I have trained Khephren Thuram as a defensive winger, and he's now 3 stars in that position (if you take any notice of the stars) and was the best player in terms of average rating for the season. As long as you give them plenty of game time in that position/role then they will quickly adapt.
  11. So after that incredible 3rd season, we move into season 4 and this is how the summer went. It was a quiet window, with a couple of the young players leaving who just didn't quite cut it in Gore, Hannibal and Jackson. Mount also left, just never really fitted in. Hincapie came in to replace Shaw, who wanted to leave for a new challenge, however Shaw has stayed so Hincapie is just an all round back up defender. Thuram is a player I really like on fm, he went to Bayern and barely played so I took my chance and had to get him. My plan was to buy Evan Ferguson, but as Toney and Hojlund both had great seasons last season, I decided to hold off on that plan with the view of buying him for season 5. I had been using a standard 4-2-3-1, but I've decided to change it up. On fm23 I created a tactic and trained Thuram as a defensive winger and it worked incredibly well, so with him joining me again I thought I would do it again on fm24. Before I had the DW on the left, but with Rashford, Garnacho and Fati more suited to the left, I put the DW on the right for this version. And well it has been working incredibly well. Thuram is doing just as well as he did on fm 23, with 5 goals and 3 assists in 11 games, and an average rating of 7.46. We have been excellent, with only really the most recent game against Brighton our worst performance. Considering how well we have started you would think we would be top of the league, but no Man City have won 7 out of 7. Though I kind of wished I had got Ferguson now, as Toney has only 1 goal so far this season, and though Hojlund has 6 goals, he got sent off against Brighton. Still I have made him my no 1 target and we are constantly scouting him. My next game is Man City, and with Hojlund suspended I'm seriously considering using Van Persie as my striker, give him a chance.
  12. Season 3 is over and its been a long hard season, as we got to the final of every cup so played the maximum amount of games we could. But how many trophies could we win? So lets do it in order and start with the carabao cup. Trophy number 1 in the bag, we dominated the final and 2 goals in 3 minutes helped us on our way. Now the league. It was between us and City the whole season, but we just couldn't keep up with them, up until 7 games to go they had only lost 1. Haaland dominated the league with 36 goals and Ederson kept 23 clean sheets. We lost both games against them as well. So 3 seasons in and we are yet to win the league, which is frustrating but when City get 99 points, there not alot I can do. Mainoo did win the young player of the year though. Now on to the FA cup. It was us and City again, playing each other in the final. It was a tight game, then when Wan Bissaka got sent off, I feared the worse. I then brought Kayode on, and with the game looking like it was going into extra time, the sub Kayode was the hero with a 96th min winner, absolutely incredible way to beat our rivals. So 2 trophies in the bag now, with 1 final left. The champions league final against Arsenal. We had a tough run to the final beating PSG, Barcelona and Milan to get to the final. We did it!!!! We secured the big one, beating Arsenal in extra time, with 2 subs in Garnacho and Toney getting the goal. So after a trophyless season 2, a treble of cups wins finishes off an incredible 3rd season. As I said 3 seasons in and we still haven't won the league, but to win every cup competition and finish the season with a treble was great. Here are the player stats for the season. Hojlund and Toney both with over 20 goals, and 5 players in double figures in total is an improvement of previous seasons. Fati had a good first season for us. Garnacho continues to get the best average rating for us, would just like abit more output from him. Kayode back from his loan had a great season, and Wan Bissaka was a good back up to him and they were definitely outperforming the left hand side. Shaw had a poor season, while though Ito had a good average rating his output was nowhere near Kayode's. Hansen-Aaroen had a good breakout season, and will definitely keep him and continue to give him game time. Mainoo with another impressive season. However 2 of the younger players in Hannibal and Gore just hadn't developed and spent the 2nd half of the season on loan and will both probably be sold. So now onto season 4, and I want that league title. Shaw wants to leave for a new challenge, and with the LB position not performing as well as the RB, we will need a new LB. I'm also looking at Evan Ferguson, he has been unreal for Brighton, and though Toney and Hojlund have been good I need someone that can push on and get 30-40 goals to match Haaland. Mount will be sold as I barely used him this season. Maguire's contract will be up and he will leave on a free, he's been a good servant for me and performed well but now is the time for him to go.
  13. That’s a mental summer in and out . Bellingham looks insane on this years game, he is smashing it for Madrid in my save, so be interesting to see how he does for you.
  14. I sold Lindelof after the first season and Evans stuck around until he retired purely as he’s a model citizen. I have brought in Tapsoba and Diomande for my CB, with Diomande at the moment preferred to partner Martinez.
  15. It's been a few days but season 2 is finished, and season 3 is already underway. So we had a tight title battle which went all the way until the final day, however we weren't in it, we lost 6-1 to spurs with 4 games to go and that cost us as we finished 3rd. Just 12 points separating the top 7 is really quite incredible, and it made for an exciting season. Sadly it was a trophyless season though as Real Madrid and Arsenal knocked us out of the champs league and fa cup late rounds and both teams went on to win them. In the end it was small margins that cost us. So season 2 summary wrapped up quickly as I didn't want to focus on it much, I spent alot of season not happy with my squad and a couple of the transfer decisions I made, so that didn't help. But I stuck with the save, took the pain of the 2nd season, and we will correct the errors and fight back next season. Player stats for season 2. Ito and Bardghji had great impacts signing in January. Our average ratings were quite low, which is why we left the season without a trophy. We had 5 players get double figures in goals, which was nice but I still want more. Toney was a good backup to Hojlund and actually ended up playing more games, I would like one of them to hit 30 goals next season. Tchouameni and Bruno both had great seasons as well in the midfield, while Mainoo put in solid numbers as his development continues. Rashford was awful with only 11 goals and a poor average rating, and Antony was even worse with only 3 goals and 2 red cards, and as your see below I was sick of him and he left. So we put that season behind us and build towards making our 3rd season a successful one. So after the madness of the transfers in the 2nd season, it was more back to normal for me with only 4 players in. With Sancho, Antony and Pellistri all going, I had to bring someone in, I looked at Chiesa but he was going to cost well over 100 mil and I didn't want to spend that much. Ansu Fati is a great young player and can rotate across the front line, so seemed the best choice. Casemiro off to Saudi, so I needed another midfielder, Seiwald was my first choice but my son choose Ricci so in he came. Diomande was my main target and he was wrapped up before the season ended. With Kayode back off loan, I needed to sell a right back, Wan Bissaka had been the better of the 2, so Dalot was sold and weirdly he choose Brentford over Barca. This is how my best 11 looks and the rest of the squad for the 3rd season. I'm now very happy with my squad and the business I have done. We have good depth all round, and plenty of the youngsters in. We have started the season well winning 4 out of 4 in the league. However for the 3rd season straight we have lost our first champions league game, somehow losing to Betis. We had some injuries to deal with as well, Bruno has only just come back during the Betis game, with Tchouameni, Maguire, Shaw and Bardghji all missing at the start of the season.
  16. Think he came 4th on mine in that list. He’s first choice for me and is developing really nicely.
  17. So a little update on season 2. Have to admit I seriously considered starting again, as I just wasn't happy with the squad and my transfers. But I decided to stick with and correct my mistakes, can't always get it right straight away and am glad I have stuck with it. Anyway I usually never do any business in January, however I feel I needed to. So Garcia left after 6 months, he was one of my mistakes. Amad also left, I had given him the chance but he didn't take it and we needed the money. Ito comes in as a back up left back and centre back, and he is someone I should of got instead of Garcia in the first place. Bardghji also in, an fm favourite. I brought in on fm23 in my Man Utd save but didn't develop him properly, this time will be different as he will by my first choice RW for the rest of the season. Been a mad save, most players I've ever brought in a season. The table is incredibly tight so this should be a fun end to the season.
  18. Yeah the finances are a mess. I'm also in January 2025, they took my transfer budget away and reduced the wage budget to 4 mil though I was just under that. I then sold Amad for 20 mil, Garcia after 6 months for 22 mil. Brought in Ito and Bardghji for combined 31 mil and the finances are already back in the red.
  19. So far in the 2nd season, no mention of a takeover.
  20. It's taken a few days but the summer is done and season 2 is started. So Varane went to Saudi as they came back in for him. Lindelof and Mctominay barely played for me and were easy sales. Martial left on a free. Sancho was an absolute pain to sell, he rejected Spurs, Newcastle, AC Milan and one or 2 other teams, before finally leaving to Atletico, in which he will join permanently for 29 mil in total. So on the ins, I was all set to sign Antonio Silva, but after seeing alot of you buying him, it kind of put me off him and I wanted to be different so in comes Tapsoba. Toney comes in as a back up to Hojlund, Tchouameni was a great steal from Real, as they barely played him in the first season, and the future of our midfield will be him and Mainoo. Van Persie and Kayode both straight back out on loan, Kayode went back to Fiorentina as part of the transfer. Now Eric Garcia was signed because Rashford was whinging about the lack of depth at CB, so I signed him and Rashford still wasn't happy even though we have 4 CB's plus I kept Evans around due to being a model citizen, so that will see him on the bench for a little while. I spent more than I planned too, but the 2 youngsters were a no brainer, Kayode will be my 1st choice RB when he returns, and Tchouameni wasn't an expected signing. Unlike season 1 we have had a good start. That's 2 Wembley victories in a row against Man City without conceding. Our champs league run looks like this.
  21. It depends who you want to replace him with I suppose as to how much they will cost in January. He was desperate to join on mine as well, but didn’t kick up a fuss when I rejected. Now in the summer and a Saudi team has come back in for him for 60-70 mil, and I can get the defenders I want in to replace him, cheaper than in January.
  22. Season 1 is over, and it has been a difficult one but a fun one. So in January I sold Malacia to Newcastle for 19 mil, Donny went to Juventus on loan and Pellistri went to Middlesborough on loan. I didn't sign anyone. Lets start with the league. The top 3 were just too good all season and we couldn't keep up after a poor start. Defensively we were just poor, so will be tweaking my tactic slightly and the defence will be the main focus of the summer. In the champions league we made it difficult for ourselves the whole way through before losing to Bayern in the semi final, The carabao cup we went out early. But the FA cup we went and beat Man City on penalties in the final, to win our 1st trophy. Onana got injured in our 2nd to last league game, which meant Bayindir had to play and he was incredible and the hero. Man City dominated the game, but they couldn't get past Bayindir, he then saved Grealish's penalty in the shootout as well, to win us the fa cup. We had an easy run in the fa cup, and didn't concede a single goal. Here were the player stats for season 1. Garnacho and Mainoo making the most of the opportunities I gave them with good average ratings, and in Garnacho was the best average rating of the team. Amad did well after his injury, and will definitely get more game time in season 2. Hojlund took a little while to get going but once he did, he did well and am happy with 27 goals for his first season. His average rating was poor as he had quite a few games at 6.1 or 6.2. So now onto the summer. They gave me 60 mil to spend, so will definitely need to sell. Varane, Casemiro and Bruno all have interest from Saudi so will see what offers come in, though I wouldn't want to sell all 3 as I believe experience does count for something. The Saudi offers do seem abit ridiculous and silly, I reckon that will be adjusted for main release. I am also going to listen to offers for Lindelof, Mctominay and Sancho. While Martial will leave on a free.
  23. Yeah it’s worked out well as they are still interested. And Antonio Silva, who is one of the players I was thinking of as a replacement, signed a new contract with a cheaper release clause at 45 mil.
  24. Here is his stats. I can't remember what he was like before, but he looks like its stats are similar to what he was.
  25. He is in it yes. He’s been set to leave at the end of his contract. But I will try and cash in and get a little bit of money for him.
