  1. I have a new job. I am now the new manager of the Honduras National Team. This is what the squad looks like. Maybe this is the job I need. I'm very pleased to have landed it.
  2. Sacked by Almeria after just 3 games in charge. It is an absolute joke. I lasted 17 days in the job. We had a shocking game in the Copa del Rey and we got knocked out by a lower division side in Spain called Teruel. This left us with nothing to play for and I started applying for other jobs. The end of an error.
  3. After an ill fated spell at Aston Villa where I effectively jumped before I was pushed, I joined Almeria as their new manager. This is what the Almeria squad looks like. What went wrong at Villa? Honestly it felt like the owners had no faith in me and my players weren't buying into the attritional football I play. In my belief, if we cannot quite compete in the league we have to at least compete in the cups. We lacked a robust defense. On paper the team was good but in terms of executing my style of play, I felt that the owners could have had more faith in me and trusted the process a lot more. We left Aston Villa in 17th place in the league after getting 16 points from 19 games. The team are still in the Europa League and FA Cup so I hope for their sake they find a manager that can salvage their season. I was not happy at Aston Villa in the end, we were also a mess financially and here at Almeria, I have got a budget of 30 million pounds so I trust the director of football to ring in the changes and make some signings that will help us compete in the Copa del Rey. For me, league position is irrelevant and I just want to aim to win the cup.
  4. December update (2024-25 season) Things are not quite going to plan at Aston Villa. We are fighting relegation in the league and we are 17th. We have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Tottenham and we are still in the Europa League and the FA Cup. The board has called us in for a meeting. Hopefully we don't get the sack too soon.
  5. I have a new job. And I am now the new manager of Aston Villa. This is what the squad looks like. At Portland we did a decent enough job to impress a club like Aston Villa. We took Portland Timbers to two cup finals, the US Cup final and the MLS Western Conference Final. We also left them in 5th place currently in the MLS Western Conference this season. We got knocked out of the US Cup, the Leagues Cup and the North American Champions Cup. We did make it to the semi finals of the North American Champions Cup this season. I sincerely hope that this is a start of a fresh era though at Aston Villa where we will go gung ho for all trophies.

  10. 2023: End of season update. We finished 12th in the MLS Supporters Shield but made it to the final of the US Cup and to the final of the MLS Western Conference. There is still a lot of work to do with this Portland team.
  11. NOTE: In this save the transfers will be done by the Director of Football. We are the new Portland Timbers manager. It is an exciting challenge here in the MLS. This is what the squad looks like.

  16. Thank you. I don't know about the pay packet for players in Indonesia but the transfer budget was close to a cool 1 million pounds in the second tier of Indonesian football so I took the job at the club.
  17. I am now the new manager of Persipura. It is a completely new experience in Indonesia. This is what the squad looks like.
  18. We have been sacked by Wrexham after nearly a year in charge. We did okay at the club and I am happy we survived this long.
  19. Three quarter season review (2023-24 season) We are currently 14th in the league with 47 points from 34 games. We can still make it to the playoffs if we play our cards right. Matt Ritchie joined the club on a free transfer. Darko Gyabi joined the club on loan from Fulham.
  20. Dejan Tetek joined the club on loan from Bournemouth. Zac Ashworth joined the club on loan from West Bromwich Albion. George Murray-Jones joined the club on loan from Manchester City. Ryan Woods joined the club from Hull City for 125k pounds. We are again on watch to save our job so we need a run of good results.
  21. Our job is on the precipice and we have made a few transfers. Oswaldo Patian has gone on loan to Hoogstraten and Sam Justice has gone on loan to Lincoln (GIB). We signed Di' Shon Bernard on a free transfer and we also signed Ryan Astley from Everton for 73k pounds.
  22. Mid season update (2023-24 season) We are 12th in the league with Wrexham after we got 34 points in 23 games. Ryan Barnett has gone to Blackpool for 20k pounds. Luke Young has gone to Port Vale for 17.75k pounds. Anthony Forde has gone to Walsall for 32.5k pounds. We will face Brighton in the next round of the FA Cup.
  23. Lots of board meetings but we have managed to hang on to our job by the skin of our teeth here at Wrexham. Also Andros Townsend joined the club on a free transfer and Luke Matheson is going on loan to Rochdale. We will face Dagenham and Redbridge in the next round of the FA Cup.
