First quarter review (2026-27 season) We are kind of struggling in the league and we are solidly mid table. We are struggling to score goals in the league and I think this season will be about blooding in the youngsters and giving them first team experience. Let's see if we can move up the table in the near future. Also a couple of transfers have happened. Emil Audero joined the club from Fiorentina for 5.25 million pounds. Dimitris Nikolaou went to Al Jazira (UAE) for 6.25 million pounds. Loum Tchaouna went to St. Gallen on loan.

End of season review. We finished 9th in Ligue 1 with Rennes. Our form has been very good since we joined Rennes and our first half season has been an unqualified success. We saved them from relegation and exceeded expectations. The entire team has done a good job.

February update (2025-26 season) We took over Rennes when they were in the relegation zone and now we are well clear of it. We are looking up not down. Martin Terrier, Jeremy Doku and Desire Doue have been the standout performers so far. We got knocked out of the Champions League and French Cup.

Arnaud Kalimuendo has gone on loan to Mallorca. Benjamin Bourigeaud went to West Ham for 20.5 million pounds. Nicolas Pepe went to Torino for 22 million pounds. Marcus Alstrup joined the club on loan from Sonderjyske. Joao Pedro joined the club from Brighton for 68 million pounds.

I have the transfer window on. Well at least I have a defined style of play and I did relatively well at Eintracht Frankfurt in the save. It is a proper Gegenpress style of play which is consistent across all the four clubs I have managed so far. And I have got to a good start at Rennes, I took over the club in the relegation zone and now we are well clear of it.

We are climbing up the table in the league. Arthur Theate went to Valencia for 40 million pounds. Lovro Majer went to Sevilla for 21.5 million pounds. Christopher Wooh went to Reims for 1.1 million pounds. We have progressed to the next round of the French Cup after beating Le Mans and we will face AS Monaco in the next round of the cup.

After nearly 18 months in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt I have now left the club to join Rennes in Ligue 1. We left Eintracht Frankfurt in 13th place in the Bundesliga and now we are in a relegation battle in Ligue 1. This is what the Rennes squad looks like.

First quarter review (2025-26 season) We are 9th in the league with 11 points from 8 games. Ismail Saibari has been the clear stand out player for us so far this season. We have to do our best to score more goals and stay afloat in the league. Also we got knocked out of the Europa Conference League early by FK Austria Vienna. So that was embarrassing. Cameron Archer came on loan from Aston Villa and Jayden Addai came on loan from Juventus. Also we got Dickson Job on a free transfer.

Strahinja Erakovic joined the club from Red Star Belgrade for 5 million pounds. We are going to face Schalke 04 in the next round of the DFB Pokal.
