  1. What is going on? None of this makes sense - how are we way in debt, but making a profit, but only slightly in debt? Nothing is adding up, and budgets are always in the red after a long season before the next boost comes in.
  2. Unless Turkey is unique, as far as I'm aware, GD is used during the season until all games between the tied clubs have been played anyway, ie if only one fixture has taken place, they don't use an incomplete head-to-head record yet. In this case, both Trab and Gala are better than Fatih, and Gala is better than Trab, no? This is certainly how it's done in Serie A, which has the same tiebreaker criteria order, though it's possible the intricacies are slightly different in situations like this, I'm not 100% sure.
  3. That's frustrating... why is hair color in the in-game editor but not skin color?
  4. Coppola is on a two year loan with an option to buy. I agreed to a transfer deal to sign the player at the end of the season halfway through the 2 years, which is the next available opportunity, however the contract negotiations say they are for a contract beginning at the end of the 2nd season one year later, as does the now completed transfer's listed start date. So I'll need to use the editor to get him to join at the correct time one year earlier, but I won't be able to replicate all of the intricacies of the transfer fee and contract...
  5. I appreciate the feedback. At the end of the day I know I will be making sales and purchases that will take place within the subsequent window, and when the dust clears I will be within budget, I just don't like how the game takes transfers from the start of next season out of your current budget at the end of the prior season, and was attempting to work around this so that I don't miss out on signing players whose relegation clauses etc. just popped up. I guess what you're both saying is... there's no way to know because the game isn't really set up to handle what I've done, which is unfortunate. I wish the game would not subtract from your transfer budget until the actual transfer goes through, so that it would be subtracting from the correct updated budget for next season, or at the very least the game simply stated "the board gives you 15m for next season, since the budget is -8, you will start with 7m." Seems straightforward enough. But here's what really confuses me - I did one more test where I went back, used the editor to cancel the future transfer so that the game automatically calculated a positive transfer budget balance going into the final matchday. On the other side of the last game I still received a 0 transfer budget, so in the scenario where I'm better off financially, they're actually giving me less, by taking away the existing budget. Just baffling - you'd think there should be some underlying logic perceivable in the process regardless of the exact outcomes.
  6. I went back to the save right before the final match, moved the negative transfer budget to the negative wage budget, and then holidayed past the match to see if I would get different budgets... and they just didn't give budgets at all, which was bizarre. So then I went back and did it again and actually played the game again, and I was given no more money whatsoever, which is even stranger. Lastly I went back and just put the transfer budget at 0 and played the game again, and was given the same budgets as when I played normally with no changes. Why is this all so inconsistent? How am I supposed to figure out what I would actually be given? Perhaps the board just defaults to 0 if your current transfer budget is in a range, ie 0 to -10m? Anyone know? @XaW @Neil Brock
  7. Before the final league game I sold a couple players and cut the deficit. After the final league game the initial budgets were set and I was given 0 transfer budget, meaning they essentially gave me a budget of ~8m to cover what was left negative. Is this accurate? I want to make sure I didn't make things easy on myself and just give myself extra money, does it always just default to 0 when you're negative no matter what? Seems unlikely that what they would give me equalled out so nicely...
  8. Oh I see in the fine print under contracts the Bayern boy has, yeah. That's my bad, assuming that was already still the case some weeks ago in-game when I took the screenshots. Still confused by the rest, though - why can some non-EU players at non-EU teams be signed on Bosmans 6 months out? Is it just a nation by nation basis that is never explained anywhere? Is there a list I can reference of when free agents become contactable?
  9. Here's another confusing wrinkle... Both are Turkish/German dual nationals on youth contracts in Germany - so why can I only offer a contract to one and not the other? I can't tell if these things are broken or just really poorly unexplained.
  10. I used the editor to allow myself to go into the red on my transfer budget knowing that the actual payments won't really be made until the players join months later when I am 1) given a new budget and 2) will bring in the money required by selling several players who are currently out on loan. I noticed that the budget for next season now shows 0 - is that because the board was going to give me less than or equal to what the negative amount is? Will that change? Or will being negative confuse the game, and I need to go up to 0 and then subtract it after the budgets are decided? I want to make sure that I'm not "cheating" and am only spending what I would actually be allowed to spend, I'm only trying to workaround how unnecessarily restrictive the game makes the process. However much money I need will dictate how many players I sell, so there's no concern about breaking even, I just am not sure how to interpret this.
  11. Atalay and Dombaz eventually agreed to join, but Alexandrescu went to Inter. Still very unclear as to what changed and why because none of the feedback really makes sense...
  12. Or am I missing something? I have a better head-to-head record v Trabzonspor, tied Fatih in our one meeting thus far, and have a better GD than both. Why am I 2/3 instead of 1/3 in this 3-way tie?
  13. 1 in 10 of my shots hit the woodwork, which feels really exaggerated. The match engine page on the bug tracker is closed, so posting here just for general discussion - are you experiencing the same thing? Hopefully SI is onto this for the next release. At some points it's happening more than once every 10 minutes! If we look at the last Premier League season as a comparison, the club that hit the frame of the goal the most (24 times) averaged 0.63 per game, with the club in 2nd (18 times) averaging 0.47. I'm in 2nd in my league, and I've hit the frame of the goal a staggering 79 times in only 28 games for an average of 2.82 - several multitudes higher than what we see in real life football! It doesn't feel like a rare or shocking event anymore, but rather just another frustratingly frequent, normal occurrence. It's clear this is broken, and though my own save is obviously a small sample size, the Reddit crowd seems to have noticed as well. They speculate that this has been overpowered (or rather, shot accuracy has been underpowered?) to compensate for poor defense in the match engine, which I could believe. It's an immersion-breaking level of silliness at present, unfortunately.
  14. Why would Mourinho leave 8th Roma for 13th Real Sociedad in the middle of the season? Besides Roma being a bigger club, they were close to a European spot, while smaller Real Sociedad is closer to the relegation battle than anything. Just doesn't make any sense from any angle I can see.
  15. I don't see where to do that, that's what I need help with. Can you explain specifically how to use the in-game editor to do this so that the change appears in my existing save?
  16. It's incredibly frustrating how this keeps happening. I appreciate that these things can be tricky, but how is it 2023 and promises still don't work and there's no way I can see for the user to correct them? Can someone please tell me how to use the editor to either cancel the promise or fix whatever hidden hits I take for continuously being falsely accused of breaking them? (Just removing the unhappiness, fixing morale, and changing the disliked personnel doesn't feel like a sufficient correction of the negative impacts and is really arduous anyway.) I told this Turkish player I'd bring in another Turkish player (I'm not sure why I can even offer that as a Turkish club, but I was desperate to sign him so I put every promise I knew I could fulfill). I signed two. Less than a month later (which seems like a short window regardless), I'm told I failed the promise and he's very angry for no reason... See save "galatasaray season 2 winter champs iiiii."
  17. Is Turkey one of them? And am I supposed to be able to approach players from Qatar within 6 months?
  18. I'm managing in Turkey and am becoming increasingly confused as to when the Bosman ruling does and does not apply. I thought it only applied when there was some association with the EU, hence why, though I want to pre-sign this Turkish player I'm loaning in from another Turkish club, there is no option to do this. This seemed to be confirmed for me as another Turkish player I am loaning in from Portugal, and another Turkish player based in England, can both be approached (even though a Turkish dual national who also holds an EU passport but is based in Turkey cannot). But then there is a third Turkish player I am loaning in from Qatar, and I can negotiate with him as well, but obviously Qatar isn't in the EU... So what's the difference? Is this a bug, or is there a really intricate rule at play here that is never explained? None of the players I mention hold any other citizenships except for the one I mentioned.
  19. Sahin had a perfect 10 and Bardhi had a 9.4, but they aren't in the team of the week, while lesser-rated players are. I assumed it just automatically selected the top-rated players, is this not the case?
  20. He played for two teams in 2026 and is now being loaned to a new club for 2027. 1) if he'd played for too many clubs the transfer shouldn't have been allowed to be negotiated in the first place and 2) it doesn't apply here regardless.
  21. Solano seemed annoyed and unsure when I sent him on loan, but then was happy I fulfilled the promise the next day.
  22. This is still happening: even if you promise a player you will loan him out you still can't get offers because clubs - that don't appear as interested on the transfer window - tell you in an inbox message that they aren't offering because the player doesn't want to go. If you use the editor to force him to go to one of them, he then says he's happy you fulfilled the promise. Which is it? See Mtoni as an example.
  23. Here are just three examples of physios that ended up renewing at their current clubs for half or less than half of what I offered (I offered the max of what I was able, 30-something), while no one else will accept anything less than like double of what I can offer...
