  1. Supersport roundup It's been a good two years, finishing with the icing on the cake as we grabbed the African CL in difficult circumstances with most of the squad away on international duties. It has been an amazing season with five trophies, as we also beat Galaxy in the last cup final. With eight trophies in two years, I felt it was time to leave Africa behind and when Sevilla offered me an interview, I was happy to talk to them. As they allowed my to finish my season in South Africa, I was happy to join them at the beginning of the next football year. This would also give me time to rebuild the team a bit, since they finished 8th and are probably not in the best shape financially.
  2. It got buried a bit underneath all of my other spam, but I got a offered a gig in Spain. It'll be a tough one as Sevilla finished 8th, which means no European football, and I'm fearing another financial pit that I'll have to clear. But we'll see when we get there, first we celebrate (and write a roundup).
  3. Icing on the cake, well deserved!
  4. Game over, it's in the bag. Two copybook goals with Luvhengo setting up Masinga, the winger crossing and Madonsela getting on the end of it.
  5. We're at the break and it should have been 1-1 but it's 1-0 instead. Luckily, Haddadi got himself sent off right before the break, which will hopefully make our second half a little easier.
  6. So, this is a joke.. I don't even have any eligible central defenders left to plug the gap.
  7. In worse news, Luvhengo broke his arms but we'll be able to play him with protective gear.
  8. 3-1, on a set piece as expected.
  9. 15 minutes into the second half and it's a bit of a different Tunis, pushing forward but only threatening from set pieces so far. On the other hand, we're still looking dangerous on the break.
  10. 3-0! We escape on a set piece when ES Tunis hits the bar, and then Mogotsi restarts quickly with a long throw to Mathamela. A bit of buildup later and Nombula puts it square in front of goal where Ah Shene taps it in.
  11. 2-0! Malgas had an easy tap in but was blocked in the last instant. Luckily, Madonsela is there to bury the rebound.
  12. Here we go. I'm hoping to make the difference in our home game because we'll probably miss a lot of interland players in the return. No injuries, the expected line up with the exception of Ah Shene, who replaces a tired Mokwena.
  13. Um, hello, I have a CL final double on the 14th and the 22nd.. That's literally 90% of my starting eleven being called up to the African Nations.
  14. Two games away from hitting our second objective.
  15. Treble completed, still in the running for the SA Cup and obviously the Champions League.
  16. That's the league pretty much in the bag, as soon as we officially clinch it I can start playing a rotation squad there instead of in the CL.
  17. Even with all the rotation we have to do, we're still faultless and scoring for fun. We've qualified for the CL quarter finals and are fourteen points ahead of Orlando Pirates right now, playing them at home next. We've got an amazing track record in the league this year, scoring 3.09 goals per game.
  18. Exciting news: I'll be dipping my feet in European football for the first time starting next season. It's a bit of a gamble, but considering our results I'm very confident of finishing the job to win a continental trophy in Africa by then. Sevilla is having a disappointing season in 12th place in La Liga so far, so I'll have a lot of rebuilding to do. This will probably be my first job longer than two seasons assuming it goes well, and as it has no CL winning history it fits what I'm looking for.
  19. On the bright side, we strengthened the squad with a loan player from Porto and a 500k deal for a Maritzburg attacking midfielder (because I wrongly thought OHL signed Mokwena instead of Mokoena, but okay).
  20. A day for the deadline, this happened. Mokoena established himself as our main striker this year, already banging in 19 goals in the league.. We still have Madonsela though.
  21. We're entering January and with seventeen games played in the league, we lead with a clear ten point gap. No unbeaten season though, again, because of a very undeserved loss against Stellenbosch. On the flip side, we beat Orlando Pirates in the SA KO Cup final to make it two trophies this season.
