  1. I really hope that there is at least one long term FMM player thinking 'I've never heard of this' Netflix' before, sounds great though' as that would be funny, to me at least anyway

As others have said, if people don't have a Netflix account by now, it's purely because they don't want one. Miles pointing out the huge amount of TV shows and movies on there isn't new information

People on Twitter were asking Miles to point out some good shows on Netflix, and he was ignoring everyone, so he knows how annoyed people are

If its going to be a Netflix exclusive its a bad decision, forcing people to pay a subscription will lead to less people actually paying for it and leading to more piracy ( considering a lot already pirate the game)

Still I rather wait for someone from SI to clarify this before passing judgment 😅

It has been clarified, on the Football Manager website

  3. It's a feature that was included in FMT, and made a big difference in developing young players

I think that the Development Hub in FMM is brilliant, but a negative is that, when sending young players out on loan, they're often played in their secondary position (defensive midfielder rather than central defender) etc, so they don't really get the experience that I need them to

Armstrong Oko Flex, for example, could play on either side of midfield, or any attacking position, but I could never get him any experience as playing as a striker, as he was always used on the right or left as a winger

The update is released between the end of February and early March so everything is still within the time frames communicated. The speculation is endless but the fact is that everything is going according to the schedule. When things don't happen right away, remember, it takes 6 months to build a Rolls Royce and 13 hours for a Toyota.

Why don't you realise that you're posting on a speculation thread? It has been pointed out to you several times

It seems sensible to me that SI just give an official update release date of 15 March every year. That buys them more time to really finesse the game and everyone with update anxiety will know what to expect.

as for all the haters. It’s absolutely your right to hate the game and ask for what you think would make it better etc. but some of the poison on here ffs!!! There’s a flipping war on, we’re just out of a pandemic and you’re spewing bile because of player development or 3D defenders not dropping back properly. Perspective please :-)

On twitter they say late February/early March. That's why people got their hopes up leet week

This.  I think a lot of people are missing the fact that a quarter of a year into the games life-cycle, it is still not fully playable (though that may be subjective depending on person and play style).  That is just completely and utterly unacceptable.  If the game had a 2 year life-cycle then fair enough, but it doesn't, and this happens every...single...year....

I'm sure you must get paid by SI for some of the drivel you come out with on here.  I've personally not bought the game since FM'18 before this years version....and won't be again any time soon until they finally sort out all the crap that needs sorting out.  People are capable of standing by what they say you know and now more than ever people do vote with their wallet for they perceive as a sub par product for something they don't need, especially in these current trying financial times.  More companies would de well to heed that.

His posts have been mocked on Reddit before. I assume that he's just a troll

I'll have a think about this and look into things - the competition for transfers should be tightened up a bit more this version so it should be a tad harder for you (as a small club) to secure quite so many prospects, long-term I'll consider a 'percentage of sell-on' - but its a tad late to do something that major for this years version.

Thanks, it's good things should be tougher this year then, as the relegation play off in Scotland's league two has already added a bit more of a challenge

What price were you getting for them out of interest?  - I'll consider percentage of sell-on for a future version (far too late for this years I'm afraid), but I want to make sure its needed before I do something like that as I try and keep math out of the game as much as possible* ;)

*I actually love math, its one of the few things I'm good at - but I'm aware that most people don't :D

Just over £11 million came in for 5 players combined, because the same thing kept happening, a Premiership team in Scotland would outbid an original offer, usually from a team in the bottom half of the English Championship, Hull were always amongst the bidders, and that kept pushing the prices up

I signed Mckenzie Carse after his release by Celtic and he was far too good for the league, Aberdeen and Reading made offers and I ended up with £3.2 million for him alone.

The vast majority of sales were under £1 million, but as I say, I was losing lots of players each transfer window, which is why I was still in the bottom division 6 seasons in. Ayr Utd Raith Rovers and Queens Park bought decent players often, but again prices went crazy when big Scottish teams and lesser Championship sides wanted someone

If you're at Annan and have a $23m budget then can you explain how that is? - did you sell players and accumulate that much money or did you have sugar daddy on?

If you had sugar daddy on then simply turn it off, if you sold players and accumulated 23m while in the lowest scottish league then that sounds like a bug/exploit and I'd like to fix it if you can give me more details (and perhaps a save game?).

It was through player sales, that's why I asked if it'd be possible to only get a percentage of fees back to spend on your squad, as happens in FMT

I was only signing players under 20, and bringing in players who'd been released by bigger clubs, to keep my save interesting, but it got to the point that I was getting offers for most of them in each transfer window, and selling them was only option as they, understandably, wouldn't sign new contracts

By the January transfer window during my 6th season I had the £23 million available

I don't have a save sorry, I quit that, as it was annoying me

  10. As android has been ignored in regard to FMT, FMM will be my only option.

I'm really hoping that most teams will only get a percentage of transfer money they bring in, as it makes the game far more challenging and keeps things fresh

I was at Annan Athletic in the bottom division in Scotland, but had £23 million to spend, after 6 seasons. Saying 'just don't spend the money' isn't really the point

Someone on Reddit was complaining that the game was too 'goddam easy' as he was winning European trophies with Wrexham, but screenshots showed he had Haaland, Mbappe and Foden in his starting 11, and had spent over £850 million on his squad

I know that the (very) tired line is that the game is designed to 'pick up and play', but people can still do that, if they can't spend hundreds of millions after a few seasons

Yeah, I do think it should be easier to loan some people out. I find my very best players generally get loaned by someone. I have teams like Arsenal loaning my best youngsters (I'm playing Celtic too), but I'm talking about some top class regens who are pretty well developed already. It's harder to loan out younger players still mid development.

I'm hoping that the next update eases the problem slightly. As I said I'm glad it's not overly easy to sell/loan players, but itd improve the game if there was a bit more interaction in that area.

Has it been told why Daizen Maeda isn't in the game?

  12. 1 hour ago, StephenCronin said:

@SaintPaul - Are they in the B team or in the first team? From what I've seen, it's much harder to loan players out from the B team, so you might want to promote them to the first team to try loaning them out (if they aren't already there).

Yeah, I promoted them at the start of the 22/23 season, as I thought that being in the B squad might be a problem, but it made no difference, so some have been demoted again

The problem I have is that no clubs want to loan my best young players, and they don't want to move to my affiliates so they're just stagnating

I appreciate that the transfer market isn't just offering a player out, and dozens of clubs make an offer, but the current system seems way too tough. There's no way that Scottish teams or teams in the Championship/League 1 in England wouldn't want players like O'Riley or Dembele, in reality

  13. I'm at Celtic just now, in the January 2024 transfer window, and from the start of the save, I've had two bids for loan players, after offering them out dozens of times

The affiliate system works, but I can't get clubs higher up interested

Karamoko Dembele, Matt O'Riley and others are all highly rated in reality, but no one at all, wants them

Owen Moffat, in my B team has scored over 30 goals in a season and a half, but hasn't had any offers at all, despite being on the loan list for over a year

Is this a fault in the game, just a tougher transfer market?
