Annnnd sacked on Season 3 Is there anything against restarting with the same team? I feel like I've done quite a few mistakes, like signing a model citizen HOYD but with an approach to the game completely different from mine, so he brought tons of players I wouldn't use properly, and prioritizing players with good personalities over the better ones in the first seasons, maybe I shouldn't be focusing on long term before establishing a competitive base team regardless of their personalities.

Season 2 (VNL North) - 2024/2025 Squad | Transfers| Finances| Supporters| Facilities League (18th) - Differently than the previous season, this time around we didn't start quite well. After the first 10 matches we had only two wins and were inside the relegation zone. Most of the time we can keep the possession but we just can't create clear chances. A decent amount of our goes come from balls that defenders hoof to our lone striker Mampala, and he keeps banging them as this year the scored another solid 23 goals, but he definitively could improve his composure. The only other two players worthy mentioning were Eddie Brown, that keeps doing a decent job as a winger and the rookie Sam Oldham, whom banged 7 assists in just 18 apps, coming 16 of them from the bench, and despise his awful passing skills. Our passing and finish is amongst the worst in the league, and i'll probably tweak my current tactics to something more narrow with faster tempo next season. Cups - Didn't even bother again with the cups, as we were struggling in the League, fielded whoever was best fit for the match. Notes - I was offered a few good job opportunities, including a Championship one, but obviously denied all of them (1, 2 and 3). We had a takeover at the end of the season, which was helpful to upgrade once again both the Jr. Coaching and Youth Recruitment. Next season I'll start introducing more youngsters into the squad as the old lads are pretty pretty bad. Youth Intake - The intake preview got me hyped, as i'm really in need of a new and more realiable striker, but the one we got is nowhere near that standard. A few good personalities, and a few good talents, but the only one worth mentioning now should be the Scottish man David Martin who might push for a first XI spot very very soon, despite his poor personality, leaving me the option to field Eddie Brown as a second striker. One thing I noticed is that no matter what are the instructions I give both to the team and individually, my center-backs will keep forcing a pass to my lone center striker. I'm not using him as Target Man, set up a 'Play of the defence' approach, and a shorter passing and they keep doing it and losing possession. I'm getting mad hahaha

One particular thing that has helped me a few times is to tweak with the training schedule prior to the matches and set up a session of "Teamwork" and two sessions of either "Attacking Movement" or "Defensive Positioning" based on what the team's lacking the most. It seems that your attack is the main issue and 12 draws most likely won't save you, so you gotta grab a few wins.

Cups - Hence the board was expecting us to be competitive, not aiming a particular round, I decided to just field whoever was in better shape, rendering us two early eliminations. We went out in the FA Cup to Peterborough Sports in the 3rd Qualifying Round and to Scarborough (Hi Padders!) in the 2nd Round of the FA Trophy. Summary - It was a good season in general, since we were predicted to finish 21th, being 6 positions above was some overachievement. Our key players were Manassé Mampala (Striker), Liam Tongue (Playmaker), Dan Atherton (Goalkeeper) and Eddie Brown (Winger). Our goalie was in pretty good form and saved us many many times. Up front Liam had an awesome start which might be why I was kind of disappointed throughout the season because he didn't keep up with it. Eddie totally surprised me because I wasn't expecting much of him but he was very consistent. To finish of, our striker Mampala has an edge in the air but he missed an atrocious amount of goals that we definitely will need if we are to aim for more next season. We also managed to upgrade both our Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment. Youth Intake - As I mentioned before, we were lacking depth so I'd grab anything that came our way, especially considering the intake preview. Once the day of the intake came, I was positively surprised with the amount of Elite Talents, and a few good personalities. A few of the bunch will be going straight to the first team to enable us to rotate the squad a little more. Other thing that didn't pass unnoticed was the amount of foreign players, having two players from Cyprus. The top three players I'm expecting to gain more minutes next season are Sam Oldham, Giorgios Loizou and Jada Thomson. First two guys lack a lot in determination, and I'm hoping that can be fixed trough mentoring, whilst Jada's got it all right in order to develop. Challenge Log

I watch all my games on extended except when the team is in such a great form that i'm confident we'll win either way, and in this case i switch it to key highlights. Never have used instant results.

In my previous save i was criticizing anything below 7.0 and in the long term all my players but 1 or 2 were performing above that threshold and praising whoever was 7.0 and above. They do indeed get mad sometimes but then i'd just back down and everything was fine. Youth with good personality were developing like crazy following that method, but is surely lame having to go through this processs every week inside the game.

In previous versions of the game you could assign which staff would be responsible for the intakes, did they remove this option?

Would you mind elaborating more on how you handle training, especially for the U19? Most of the time all i do is to just fix the base intensity. And one thing i missed from your post is praising and criticizing players whenever the weekly training report arrives, from my past experience that drives their trainning performance up and helps a lot into their development.
