How do you do that? like this is what I have now from my edits. Group stage is all fine, 16 teams advance. Go to 2nd round KO and I get this.... What happened to the other 4 teams? And where would I go to fix this? This is what I have for the edit under teams in the KO round

Anyone know how to cup map when you are creating or editing a competition that involves some 3rd place sides advancing to KO rounds? What do you do with the 3rd place sides in cup mapping tab? Thanks

I tried a different approach and just edited the 48 team WC and organized into 12 groups of 4, top 2 advance and 8 best 3rd place sides. It verified, yet load up the game and try it, and the KO stages dont even happen, and the 2019 asian cup, the qualifying and the euros dont even happen..... I dont even know how to copy and paste everything.

I am lost for how to do all this. Just tried editing with all the major comps added into 1 advanced rules file, and getting errors of "24 teams are needed in euros, 0 are found" when it shows 24 teams in it..... All this just to get back to a 32 nation WC. Ridiculous

So you copy/pasted ALL the major international comps into 1 big file? I did look at your link, but was confused at the part that says " Add Club Continental (or International, in which case you can skip to converting to advanced rules) rules." so with adding international rules, you skip the next part? And the next part after that one, says to" pick 2 nations to the qualification system, as long as they are the right continent." with the WC, which nations do you pick since it doesnt have a set continent?

So you added every international competition individually that way and edited yourself? I am lost... Are you willing to do a picture guide of how to do it ? I may have to do this on FM21

The gyazo above in my previous message is FM19 editor ya. That is the main screen I get when I import the WC file I made in the advanced editor. Doesnt show INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS just LISTS. Did you have to add international rules to get that tag ?

Alright, I followed your tutorial and I have the WC alone in its own advanced editor!! So now, if I want to edit it back to the 32 team WC, do you suggest I follow the tutorial for all the qualifying comps and other comps and their qualifying to the advanced editor aswell and have it all as one big file? Ex. AFCWCQ, solidarity cup, asian cupQ , UEFAWCQ, eurosQ and so on ...... ?? How do you add international rules when adding rules to the file and than copy/pasting any existing comp rules ? Thanks

I am trying to do this exact thing, but putting 2026 onward back to the 32 team format. How did you do all this? What competitions did you have to edit to make it verify correctly ? I currently have: WC , WC playoffs, AFCWCQ , asian cup, asian cup Q , AFC solidarity cup, africaWCQ, AFCON, AFCONQ, CONCACAFWCQ, South AmericaWCQ, OFC Nations cup, UEFAWCQ, euros, eurosQ, EurosQPLAYOFF, UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE, Confed Cup All in 1 advanced rules file. I used CHINA as my nation to add all these competitions. How did you create this?

I have been suggesting this feature for the last 3 additions. Going on deaf ears on SI part by the looks of it. It is beyond frustrating how they continue to ignore international management and set piece additions. Especially with the game releasing weeks before a world cup, it would have been a perfect time to do so, but they failed to capitalize on it. Instead we get a feature that we can do on our own excel spreadsheets as a massive addition..... What a waste of money for a full priced game.

Ok, I have written and suggested this feature to be added for the past 3 years now and seems to go on deaf ears, so here goes again! I have thought about this idea for numerous years to add into future Footy manager titles but havent been bothered to write up a request idea........UNTIL NOW! International management in FM has been pretty much irrelevant, other than to boost your managers rep in the world. I have been so tired of watching International Football in real life, and not seeing the same thing is this game that I enjoy playing, and thinking " How cool would it be if this or that was in FM ? " Well here are my ideas on what YOU DEVELOPERS need to add to future FM titles that I believe will improve real life players to want to manage International teams for saves, and make international football management relevant and enjoyable: - Add Prize Money to continental and World tournaments What are the main benefits for nations to want qualify for major tournaments?.....aside from exposure and national pride, it is sadly MONEY. A perfect example of this is Tahiti making the Confed cup in 2013, they got 1.5million for just qualifying for that. That sum of money is huge for there FA and can be used to improve there grassroots, facilities, programs etc. The point being is why not add this into FM, and than have tabs similar to asking your board at club levels to improve facilties, scouting etc. And the reward is your nation produces better Regens, instead of setting your manager to a certain nationality to get good regens for that specific nation. The point being, instead of a morale reward of going far in tournaments and a manager rep increase, allow the reward to go to the nation you are managing aswell, with better regens, improves the nations rep as a whole so players that actually can represent the nation with dual nationality, will actually want to accept call ups! and improving the nations overall football. - Allow Training Camps for International Windows and Tournament Lead ups I have found with FM over the years, that you just setup your nations tactics and play it and a way you go... No Cohesion, no balance change, no familiarity everytime you announce a squad for a nation team window. I have found its almost pointless to schedule friendlies now, because other than losing spots in the world rankings, it quite frankly means ZERO to the national team, and hense why spend that 2 week break, playing a meaningless friendly that does ZERO to your squad fitness, cohesion and familiarity. I propose to allow players the option to run just a training camp, instead of a friendly, for international windows, aswell as a lead up to a major/continental competition. There, you can work with the players you selected, add tactics and systems you want to implement on the players and the nation to play. You see in real life football, Nations usually have a 2 week window training camp before a tournament to prepare for it. I am tired going into a tournament, and seeing my squad is completely dead because there season has been out for a few months. When really that training camp can and would address that issue, aswell as tactical formations to get ready for it. So there you have it, my ideas and requests that I believe will want PLAYERS to manage international football and makes it relevant and enjoyable, and also the continue trend of FM titles, the REALISM !! Thank you for reading my ideas and hopefully my ideas are an option for FM 2023 and now 2024, 2025,2026,2027 etc.

I have not made any changes to the editor. This error only comes up while trying to edit the AFC Cup. Everything else I can edit. I have tried importing an AFC Cup file from FM19 editor into FM21 editor in the past.
