  1. In my Spurs save, every goal we've conceded this season (literally every single one) has come from a right-sided attacking midfielder (or an AM cutting in on the right if there's only one). The thing that confuses me is that my left-sided defenders are nominally better than the right-sided ones. I'm using FB-A, BPD-D, BPD-D and FB-A across the back line with a DM and a roaming playmaker in front of them. The left is the RPM side. Does the RPM mean that I don't have enough defensive cover on the left side?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Possible as the RPM is given license to roam. That could leave you a little more exposed.

  2. Think this question may have been missed during the other questions so was giving it a little bump.

Just wondered if anyone knew if I'm thinking correctly or if a WM/S with the PI would act too much like a WM/A?

    Thanks,

I believe mentality also represent a player thinking. An attacking mentality player thinking is always to try to pass the ball forward and always trying to go forward. A support player(even with forward run) will link up play more.

  3. How to make a world class inside forward with poor decisions work? I know this may be too stupid even for this thread, but I always overlooked attributes like that one and I'm looking to get some more in-depth knowledge about the game.

Maybe a more rigid team mentality so that his CF can be reduced but of course this will affect your whole team CF. You may want to use more specialised roles to solve the lesser CF issue.

  4. How do I make my players tackle the opposition when they're playing a defensive game and slowly walking around with the ball. My guys all just stand about a yard off them while they amble about, even with get stuck in selected and high pressing.

Depends on your players aggression and bravery as well. Maybe you like to try fielding 1-2 players with high aggression and bravery as your attackers against the more defensive sides?

  5. Suppose I'm protecting a 1-0 lead, away to a good team, late in a game. I'm playing a 4-1-2-2-1, with a central midfielder on Support duty and one on Attack duty, playing in front of a DM on Defend duty. My mentality is Defensive, which I often use with this team.

Will switching my CMs to Defend duties help me remain tight and difficult to break down, or will it simply create a jacked-up tactic that causes more problems than it creates?

I've always been curious if something that simple can be effective. :)

Or you can consider dropping 1 or 2 of your wide player into WM position.

  6. 1) Able to disable 1st transfer window. Not sure why this is not in since FMT is supposed to be a quicker game. Some players may want to just get in to play the games rather than dealing with transfers in the 1st window.

    2) Able to customise database when starting up a game, especially for PC ver as it can runs faster than tablets. For eg, load all players/100% of squad from leagues selected so that players like Lotus Cheek, Jordan Rossiter and etc won't be missing again. For players whose PC is not that fast, they have the option of loading most players/90% of squad instead.

  7. Could anyone point me in the right direction for a simple training guide?

I've never really done it before but feel it could benefit me a lot if I did a little run through of trying to improve certain players attributes for the roles they would have.

Think the most I've ever done before is training to the role they would have in my team.

  8. I agree with having proper MLS rules or maybe a simplified version.

    My simplified version.

    1) Every team will have same wage budget for normal contract players.

    2) There should be 3 DP contract players where we could offer up to 100k per week(In FMT, Kaka is the highest paid with 90k or so). Their wages will not be counted in the wage budget or maybe only count 5-10% of it.

    3) The limit of 8 international players rule per team should be in as well. This should be easy to implement as it's similar to countries who have restrictions on foreigners or non EU players. Eg Korea, Russia and Spain.

At the moment, clubs are just loan crazy, loaning every player they can get their hands on.

  9. If you have a player in the AML/AMR strata and you want him to cut inside sometimes but at other times go outside, cross on occasion, dribble on occasion, shoot on occasion - basically do a bit of everything when in his opinion the time is right what role do you use as "cut inside" is hardcoded for IF's and stay wider is hard coded for wingers.

Make him learn PPM cut inside and use a winger role.

  10. Been messing around for a while with tactics and styles of play. Seems the only thing I can really get to work is a counter attacking tactic.

I'm using Napoli in my current game odd choice I know, but the first soccer ball I ever received was a Napoli ball! Anyway, my current tactic is as follows:

    Formation.jpg

I'm set to counter and flexible. Only TI is work into box, so my players don't shoot from everywhere!

It's quite solid defensively. The BWM doesn't run around as loosely as I thought he would. The DM/D has been quality with intercepting potential attacking moves.

One problem I'm having is that it can be quite toothless in attack at times, I'm at a bit of a loss to what to do to create a few more clear cut chances. Any advice would be great.

Higuain is going to be very isolated not only because of his duty but also his PPM. His PPM of trying to beat the offside trap will won't help him much as he will always be on the shoulder of the last defender. I will also try changing BWM into a BBM too. A BBM will still do his defensive duty but also support the attack abit more.

  11. So I'm playing this system: http://i.imgur.com/4Pz553b.png

But we are not scoring as much as I would like, although I find that we are creating a lot. Most teams we face play defensive against us because we're predicted nr. 1. I would like my IF-A, Eilers, to score more goals, but I think he is playing too wide and rarely gets in goal scoring opportunities. So, what I'm wondering is, should I perhaps change the team shape from Highly structured to Fluid perhaps, to get more movement? I'm just a bit apprehensive to change something dramatic and ruin our good form in the middle of the season, that's why I'm asking for input.

Does he has roaming on? If not, maybe you want to give it to him so he has more freedom to move around and make himself available.

  12. Not really a big fan of Adv playmaker on the flank. He cuts in, DLF drops deep and as a result, both could be operating in the same space just in front of the pk box.

I will consider using a roaming playmaker instead if you want a playmaker and a winger on 1 flank. At the centre, he gets to dictate play easier. And when the DLF drops deep, both your roaming playmaker and CM(A) could be attacking the box.

Lastly, if you are afraid of RMD and CM(A) getting into each other way, can consider using roam from position and move into channels for your CM(A). This will give him more freedom to move around.
