  1. Not any more. He was unhappy 3 times during the season, and even skipped training, despite starting almost every match, and was the only player to do so incorrectly. Nothing ever happened in terms of his appearances before he complained. But unfortunately, saves are overwritten. I'll try to keep saves immediately before future bugs, if there are any.

  2. According to the notes of the update, it is fixed, (and my one new test save appears to confirm this).

    That is for new saves.

I'd be interested in whether the fix works for existing saves. (I wouldn't expect it would, but it you never know. I loaded what I think is an old save file where the bug was affecting my registration, and it appeared fixed, but I could of course be mistaken as to the situation in that save before the fix.)

Hi everyone, this issue has been resolved but you will need a new save file for the change to take effect.

    We apologise for the inconvenience.

I'm not sure it is resolved, though maybe the problem has been changed or mitigated.

On a new save it looks like this. I think all the players at the top are registered. You just don't have a choice as to register them.

    Anyway, I've loaded a save.

So if you want to have a look at it, you can, but it's probably going to need someone to play through a whole part of the season in N America and registration to see what has changed, if anything.

This hasn’t been fixed in the update? Still having the same problem.

    With a new save?

Being honest, although SI haven't revealed the full reason for the bug, this was always very likely to need a new save, even if they have fixed it.

They haven't mentioned it in the release notes, but if it is the same as the African one which they have mentioned, it might have been addressed. I'll be super interested if anyone does do a test start.

Is there a manual workaround via the editor or some other method for existing saves? I'm about 10 years into a Pentagon challenge that I'd like to salvage if possible.

The bug (based on about 10 saves I've looked at, so less than SI has access to but I'm still pretty certain), is caused when players have played for another club in either African continental competition (since the start of the save), so the workaround is not to buy players that have. Also don't let your useful players who you can register go.

    Not an easy workaround admittedly.

If it helps, it only tends to happen with signings, ive not noticed it with current players suddenly becoming unavailable. However its not all signings, some are fine

I posited the theory here that this big was the same as the African CL bug, and suggested a workaround, but taking over a new team in Mexico (about 9 years into the game) has seemingly disproved it.

    So, I've deleted my theory.

  7. The reason for this bug has been known since the beta. You can't register players who've ever played African continental matches since the start of the save, in either African continental competition.

I suspect the bug with the North American CL is identical.

So, you just have to work your way around it, by only signing eligible players, or even better, never letting your eligible players leave. (Although of course if you're taking over a club in '26 or so, then probably the damage / transfers have been done).

I know this is a bug forum, but because the last bug report was closed, maybe it will be helpful for users to understand what the bug is exactly.

SI do know about the bugs.

  8. I'm sorry if I was rude. It's just that I am keen for SI to investigate this issue and understand it accurately.

In the occasion screenshotted, there were more than 30 players who could be registered, but Manyama could not be, for the details I've given above.

I've looked at multiple examples, and discussed it with at least 2 other players with the same problem.

It is unhelpful if people leap to (wrong) conclusions on the basis of one screenshot, because we need SI to look at this properly, and not be given an excuse to dismiss or ignore it.

That is why I was angry.

But as I say, I shouldn't have been rude, and I was in the process of editing my response when you replied.

  9. The save game names are detailed above. Sorry if the name was not evident tucked in above the screenshot.

    Mine is 'ACL Test 2.fm'

Joaquim's is 'Ultimate challenger.rar'. @Joaquimorais I'm not sure why it's a rar file. Could you send it to SI on their cloud service if that wasn't what you did before?

@goonergezAny chance you could send them your one as well? I think because you have more players who can't be registered, it's a better save for SI to look at.

@Abdullah PatelI've done quite a bit of testing. I'd be amazed if it wasn't exactly what I've said. We can't register players if they've been registered for that competition with another team during the course of the save. It might be either competition (Confed Cup or Champions League). I'd need more saves to be sure.

The fact is that AI controlled teams don't sign a lot of new players, so this bug really only shows up on user controlled teams. In my main save, I took over a team half a season ago and I was able to register everybody, but that's probably because none of my players fit the scenario detailed above.

  10. Still only a sample size of 2, but in my main save, I've had no problem registering all my players for the African Confederations Cup, which people have reported an identical problem with.

Now, none of my players have played in the Confed Cup (or any continental competition) for any other team since the start of the save.

So, I'm not sure the absence of something proves the thing, but I do continue to think the theory above is the cause of the problem.

Obviously Joaquimorais's save game has lots of players who couldn't be registered and so will be much easier for SI to say if that is indeed the cause.

  11. I've managed to somewhat recreate this problem.

In my test save there was only 1 player I couldn't register, (Leb Manyama) but I'm not sure why.

He was signed more than 365 days before the registration date.

He's not the only player to have played continental matches for another team during the scope of the save, but he may be the only one who has played in the same competition (Champions League) for another club.

That's the only thing I can think of.

Can't be bothered to investigate it any more. I'll just hope it gets sorted out before I manage to qualify for the Champions League myself.

    Please hurry. :onmehead:

  12. (I think this is the same issue. If it's protocol / manners to start new issue reports rather than adding to other people's let me know).

It certainly looks like the same issue. Maybe extra savefile will help.

I have a player who came through my youth ranks. Born in Peru. Has played a number of internationals including competitive, but still have the option to ask him to represent Scotland, (except for the fact that he's currently in the Peru squad).

It's possible this is because he 'emerged' in Scotland. He has never been committed to Scotland.

  13. I have a similar problem.

Stadium was expanded in last couple of seasons, but don't get the option to ask for further expansion (which is probably accurate since it's Hibs / Easter Rd), but I've asked board 3 times for new stadium and they always refuse because "we believe our ambitions for the club can be realised without leaving our current home'. They also say to stop wasting their time with this request, but it's a reasonable and logical request.

We are very much selling out every match. Stadium was built more than 100 years ago.

Is there a cooling off period between stadium expansion and approval for a new stadium? That would obviously make sense, but they should have agreed to build a new stadium in the first place, which they didn't.

I appreciate that changes were made in the winter update, but this whole stadium thing is really problematic. I know that you want stadium approvals to be realistic, but it's not at the moment.

If you want a save from before the new stadium request, Hibernian National CL.fm was from very shortly before, I think.

  14. Bouncing this (sorry, forgotten the correct idiom) as it was never responded to.

The issue happened with 2 players, at the same point.

It hasn't repeated, (maybe because we haven't again qualified for a lower competition than a previous season), but this was a bug.

Perhaps the other coefficient issue isn't a bug (although I'm not convinced) and thus not linked to this, but this issue definitely was.

  15. I had the same problem as well. (Twice).

What is weird is I gave up on the expansion, and just decided to wait until I could apply for the new stadium, but without an expansion (that will never happen) being planned, I can't get the board to agree to a new stadium (despite my maximum attendance steadily increasing).

Sorry to hop on to your report, but basically I have the identical issue, and have just explored further.

I know there is an existing bug report associated with the board continually agreeing to an expansion that is continually turned down, and SI are reviewing the way in which the board interacts in this situation, but this is an extension of that problem, it seems.

  16. My suspicion is that this is linked to another bug that I reported last night;

and the coefficients are actually taking effect a season too late. The season before, we did not qualify for the Europa League, and this seems more likely than the game not understanding that one competition supersedes another.

However, at the time I thought they were 2 separate issues, and maybe they are.
