  1. Transfer Window Update:

As you can see the new Brexit rule had a definite effect on my transfer dealings with four of the six players being English or in the case of Bellerin, holding an English passport. To be honest I think signing Kristoffer Ajer was as mistake but he was a free transfer that I agreed before bringing in Emre Can last season, had I known he was going to become available at the time I would of never agreed the deal but he is valued at £10.25 Million so if he doesn't impress its pure profit to move him on.

  3. Veni,Vidi,Vici:

So a fantastic season draws to a close and we have only gone and won the lot ! We followed up retaining the Carabao Cup by retaining the League on the final day with a 1-1 draw against Arsenal, while Man Utd bottled their chance by losing 1-0 to West Ham. We then beat the Hammers to win the FA Cup 2-1 at Wembley and followed that up with a fantastic 4-0 win over Man City in the Champions League final to complete the set at the San Siro. On top of this we managed to tick off the FA/EPL double and EPL/FA/UCL treble milestones in one fell swoop. Olivier Giroud turned out to be exactly the signing I expected leading the line and scoring some important goals when needed and giving the strike force some much needed experience we were lacking in previous seasons.

  5. The January curse hits

So after the January window comes to a close we find ourselves in the same situation as last season. Still in all competitions including another final place booked at Wembley, but our recent form has took a major hit. In the case of the transfers Wilfried Ndidi is a player I never wanted to let go but the second Barca came sniffing around his head was turned and his performances suffered so I finally bit the bullet and let him go while bringing in Emre Can as a more than capable replacement. The other two transfers Hoedt to Real Madrid and Emerson to AC Milan where a case of both wanted to go and they weren't indispensable so I made sure I got the most possible money for both and quickly made sure I covered the positions with better quality in Kimpembe and Robertson (who also counts towards the new brexit rules).

14 isn't bad, though.  Obviously, could be a lot worse. :)

It'll just mean that much more when you complete the challenge now.  "I had all these damned rules, and then THIS... I'm a man among wee boys!" :D

Haha luckily I have a strong English contingent in Pickford,Lascelles,Maguire,Chilwell,Drinkwater,James,Albrighton,Gray and Carey (promising regen) are all in my main 25 man squad with the 1st four all regular's in the starting XI.

Going to add your 50 points right now, @m0nk3y-b0y!

Congratulations on being the first to two Community Shields!  Don't let that one loss get you down... my results with the Saints are so up and down, but they almost always come up strong in the big ones.  And they haven't taken near the silverware you have yet!

    Keep up the great progress!

Thanks the next two games we beat Man Utd 4-0 and Spurs 2-0 so I think I was just holding myself up to, to high a standard.

  8. More silverware

We comfortably dispatched Spurs 4-2 at Wembley to keep the momentum rolling from last season and retain the Community Shield. I'm a lot more confident about our chances this season as we added real quality and that showed in the Community Shield game against a potential title rival.

Points are added @m0nk3y-b0y, and congratulations on your third trophy!  Just need the Premier League now for the entire English top-flight set! :D

Excellent work with Leicester City, keep up the great progress, Sir!

I love Mourinho in real life, even at United -- but screw him right in the ear in this game!  And a lot harder word than screw, but the filter here doesn't like me. ;)

(Conte's been a ***** to me as well, but Wenger and Pep both love me... I'm sure it's the "I only know how to attack and ship goals" philosophy that they both have played in my save.  Arsenal played it well, though, they did win the title over Mourinho on the last day!) :D

Thanks, I'm actually a fan of his IRL as well but on this game he is my nemesis, currently still top but Man Utd are closing in fast so just hope I can cling on

  11. What a way to shut up Mourinho, his gamble of playing the reserve keeper came back to bite him as Leicester City win the EFL Cup

Are all his players dirty pieces of garbage in your game, too?  My last two appearances, they've finished at least a man short.  Yet to go a game where Pogba hasn't gotten a nasty red card or thrown out.  I used to like the kid, but his real life play at United and his attitude, plus him being a threat to society in game, has really started me disliking him.  (Yes, I'm Liverpool through and through, but have always loved Mourinho, and loved what Pogba was at Juventus.  I didn't just hate them because they put on that Red with the Chevrolet on the front!)

But goodness, they make United just DIRTY on my save.  I think last game they had 7 yellows, one being a second for a red card, and the official got a 10.0 rating, so it wasn't one of those situations where you get all the calls because the ref is paid off.

They are just nasty.  I beat them in Europe, but I can't seem to beat them in the League.

Yeah no red cards but it's like they just kick the team off the park so they can't get a rhythm going.

The wheels have properly come off now got knocked out the FA cup by Spurs 4-1 (it was 3-0 and we went for broke), lost first leg 1-0 to Inter, I think my less talented overall squad is getting found out by a hard run of games in quick succession.

  13. These Foxes have bite!

Post January transfer window and by some miracle we not only sit top of the league but undefeated in all competitions also. We have an EFL Cup final place booked against Man Utd, a FA Cup fourth round place against Ipswich and despite finishing top of the group a Europa League 1st KO round against Inter Milan. Fiete Arp has continued his fantastic rise filling the Vardy shaped hole upfront and while we saw Erik Durm leave to West Ham for £15.25 million and Vicente Iborra to Guangzhou for £20.5 million (both doubling their fees they where signed for) we strengthened with club legend Danny Drinkwater returning from Chelsea for £10.25 million and Florin Andone from Real Madrid for £14.25 million. October saw the dreaded brexit message appear with a warning that it looks like i'm getting the foreign player limit (one restriction Sir Alex never had).

  14. Starting as we mean to go on

In a repeat of the 2016/17 Community Shield we faced Premier League and Champions League winners Man Utd, although this time with a very different result ! Clearly we don't need Jamie Vardy who swapped the King Power for the bench at Old Trafford in a £70 million deal (not a bad fee for a 31 year old) during my summer clear-out, and was swiftly replaced by wonderkid Moise Kean who dominated the Red Devils down the right hand wing all game.

Isak is my top transfer target for my first summer window, which I'll reach today.

    #GreatMinds

(EDIT: He and Jairo Riedewald, that is.  I ship goals like they are going to go out of fashion right now.)

He's been a revelation but Fiete Arp has out performed him leading to a deadly front three with him, Isak and Vardy. I'm having the same problem definitely going to invest in the defence during the summer transfer window, already started on that by making Alexander Dragovic's loan move permanent for £8 million a lot less than the original agreed fee.

Managed to finish with a fantastic 6th place finish and a FA Cup for the trophy cabinet.

  16. After Jan transfer window update :

A good run of form has seen us rise to 8th in the league, with the only losses coming to Arsenal and Liverpool since taking over. Despite losing Riyad Mahrez to Real Madrid for £60 million we have brought in a ready made replacement in Alexander Isak who fits my tactic much better, as you can see I raided the Bundesliga for all three of my Jan transfers.
