I'm in season 21/22, after the split fixtures appear to be extremely tightly scheduled with Sat, Tues, Thurs and Sat which I doubt is the real one.

This has not been fixed. Some games are Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat.
It should be play each other 3 times then once after split.
