We hope you enjoy your stay.

New mainsite and forum skin

Over the last month our beloved owner of many names has been working hard on a smooth yet sleek

mainsite and forum skin. With Matt Wadsworths “Four” skin being released a few weeks prior to this

it gave our owner, lets just call him “the game” the inspiration he needed to finally make a settled

mainsite and skin. So as a site we went with a design heavily based on the “four” skin. It caused a bit of a

ruckus at first as Matt did not want it used as we used the header image from his skin but after the dust

settled our own members and other members of the scene united in their approval of the new look here at

LosWonderkids. Many go as far as saying its the best looking forum skin on our so called scene. Matt

himself should be as proud as we are to showcase such an enigmatic colour schene and overall quality

design.

Affiliation with Sports Interactive

Within the last month or maybe just slightly longer we achieved our goal of becoming an official SI

affiliate. To ourselves this is another step up the ladder to becoming a more serious site and one which

FM lovers feel they can join and get sensible discussion. With this partnership we will be able to offer

some nice official Football Manager merchandise as prizes for anf FM related competitions we may run

from time to time. Competitions you say? Well yes we generally always have something going on and

hope to have some more added all the time!

Audiballs - Our very own podcast

Our very well know staff member “Fantastic” has decided to start doing what he does best once again!

Yes he has called it Audiballs and it is the Loswonderkids podcast. He has roped in another one of our

staff “Hendo” and they make quite the comedic team. Fantastic and Hendo are on brilliant form here, if

you are a fan of FM and comedy then this should be worth listening to. We have a podcast area on our

homepage so just click that and it will take you to episode 1.

Weekly Graphics competition

LosWonderkid's have finally started the first season of the newly crowned 'Weekly Graphics Contest',

brought to you by SeanAVFC, which simply consists of a combination of 'Signature of the Week' and

'Icon of the Week'. Each week rotates between signatures and icons, so each week is the opposite

graphics format. Each week a different theme is brought into play, and the winner of each round goes into

the hall of fame, and into the 'Signature of the Season' and 'Icon of the Season', in which a prize will be give

to the winner of both. To find out more, simply direct your way to LosWonderkid's 'Sculptor's Block' forum.

Beat the scout

The first opportunity to win FM10 simply by playing FM09. A competition to see who can produce the

best reviews. Being a football manager isnt just picking the team, its also creating it. You will be given the

opportunity not only to play FM09 to win FM10 but to get the ultimate bragging right of being the best

scout. You will simply have to write player reviews. They can already be written but must be your own.

They will be graded and awarded points. You can use the Genie or whatever you want. Its not about the

player solely, its about your ability to review him and explain why he is is a good player. You will get points

for each criteria you fill and the member with the most points at the endgets a free copy of Football Manager

2010 on release day.

Two heads are better than one right? So imagine what over 400 members can achieve!

Based on the MyFootballClub takeover of Gravesend & Ebbsfleet, MyLosWonderkidsClub puts democracy in charge. Every decision on the running of the club will be decided by a public vote. Who should we manage? Should we blow our transfer budget on a single player? Should we drop our underperforming striker?

Everything is up to you. All you need to do is vote in the threads provided to ensure your voice is heard. You'll have both a manager's and assistant manager's recommendation to help you make a decision, not that you have to listen to us. If you think you're right, you're free to encourage others to ignore our advice and listen to you.

And if there's something you want changing you can rally the members and demand a vote on any aspect of the club. Whether it be the sale of the entire first team or even the sacking of the manager, the power lies with you to ensure you get what you want. Simply post in the Fans Movement subforum to get the ball rolling.

The first thing of course, is to decide what club you want to manage, so head on over to The Board Room to cast your vote.

Good luck. Remember, you're the boss!

Overview

Basically much like the Player Filters but this time directed towards finding staff.

Inside the download you will find the following filters;

- Fitness Coaching

- GK Coaching

- Tactical Coaching

- Ball Control Coaching

- Defence Coaching

- Attack Coaching

- Shooting Coaching

- Set Pieces Coaching

- Assistant Manager

- Physio

- Scouts

These filters haven't been set to any specific "stat rating" and will need to be adjusted accordingly to achieve your desired star level in training, or quality level of staff.

The idea behind these filters is to merely help find the right staff with the right key qualities (personal opinion and may differ), to help gain the best results for your players and team.

---

Installation

Once downloaded create a folder in My Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2009 called filters, now extract all of the files into the newly created folder using Winrar.

---

Accessing In Game

To access the downloaded filters, navigate to the staff search page and goto Filter > Edit Filters > Import then locate the filters folder and import each filter one by one. Once all filters have been imported, access them by again clicking on the filter button and selecting the desired filter displayed in the drop down list.

Been a while since our last update, so we thought it would be good to tell you people that we are still alive and still eager to break all the rules, yet still playing the game and trying to discuss it with others. Instead of taking our time writing a long update and probably boring you to death, we have decided to list 5 things, which are currently in progress at LosWonderkids.com, hoping you will enjoy it and maybe even get involved.

lwswl7ado8n06y35f4i2.png

With Football Manager 2010 just 5 months away, we at Los Wonderkids are currently planning the graphics we should offer you for the release of SI's next management game. We have come up with 3 logo design, Sean's LW'10 Logos, A standard logo style and yet an unnamed logo style. Production of packs is about to start aswell as designing facepack designs and other graphics ready fro FM 2010 release this Autumn. Look out for an update over the next week about these logo designs as LW plans a redesign FM Graphics.

We are proud to announce the upcoming release of our very own database. Featuring the members here at Los Wonderkids your job is to take over as manager of Los Wonderkids F.C and guide them to glory. You choose the league, so you can start in the League Two or you could instantly try surviving in the Premier League. There are still places availabe, so if you wish to sign up, visit this thread.

Got a management adventure that needs a new look? Well look no further as we at Los Wonderkids present you with the Los Wonderkids Management Adventure Graphics. With headers and sub-headings your story will look smart, whilst the news story graphics really do show off your achievements. With updates and requests, why not have a look what's on offer?

Having problems with training? Finding it hard to find the right settings for your schedules? Well, look no further and have a read of Fantastic's training guide! The guide covers all aspects of training in Football Manager and helps understand the complex world of this massively underrated aspect of the game. Including attributes, training schedules and your actual coaches.. This guide explains it all, so have a read!

You may have already heard about our Challenger, as this is not the first time we are advertising it. We are continuously adding new challenges and we are always happy to listen to new ideas. Since the last update, we started a Challenger League as well, giving out points for trophies. To sign up, please visit this thread, meanwhile the updated standings can be found here. If you have any questions regarding the league, or the Challenger itself, please ask them here.

Versus Football Manager

It's back with a bang. Last year Los Wonderkids were the first site to introduce an FM Challenges competition. It gave LW members the opportunity to go head-to-head with each other and compete for trophies and prizes.

A month later Putzy and Si created VFM, a site which allowed teams of members to compete against each other for prizes and bragging rights over the forum.

If you were one of the people who enjoyed either or both of those competitions I think you might enjoy this one a lot..

vfmlogo.png

* Compete head-to-head with the Los Wonderkids members or team up and take on FM as part of a team. You can if you like do both at once, if you think you're up to it.

* Unique challenges that will see you manage all over the globe in countries such as the US, Brazil, Russia, England, Spain and many more.

* Some extra special challenges for those of you with a hunger for lower league management.

* Add a dashing of historical Joker challenges to the mix and you've got an extremely diverse competition.

* Team Challenges which will see you competing against other teams on the forum, with your selected Captain leading you and getting bonus points for his individual efforts you really need to make some wise decisions for your team.

* Bi-monthly Team Challenges (depending on their difficulty and expected duration), big points on offer for the harder challenges which will be more rewarding for those who are bold enough to take them on.

* Over 120+ challenges to wet your appetite with thousands of team points on offer, you've got a tough task in itself to pick the right challenges to compete in.

* Featuring four difficulty levels for those of you who want to play for fun or assist your team but don't want to get too tied down, or for those of you who really want a new FM experience and want to do something completely radical with your game.

* A set target of challenges will be made available, with a league table for each team and a league table for each competitor. You will also see the current MVP for each team and news and updates will be posted on how the teams are doing via competition.

* A VFM story section/blog will also be available for those of you who wish to add running commentary on your current challenge. ** this will be available when the VFM section is available **

Now awesome features, entertainment and fun times aside what else is on offer?

Well you also get bragging rights over the whole forum - afterall you'd surely be the best Football Manager lurking on this community if you could beat FM. Not only that, you get a free copy of FM11. Simply by playing FM10, having fun and having a riot whilst you do it - you get a free copy of next year's game.

Still though, we're an Affilated site and the beautiful people at SI Games and Mr Joe Turner have promised that they will throw in some FM exclusives along the way to give you even more to play for.

Now, be under no illusion. This isn't your 'run of the mill' challenge.

This is the only contest in the whole FM universe like this. Los Wonderkids is the only forum on the FM Circuit to hold a competition like this. It's the biggest and in my own opinion, the best competition the Scene has had ever. These aren't some easy to beat, generic challenges - these bad boys will push you to your limits, there are some easy one's thrown in there, to get you on the points trail but the big points will only pay the big players.

So it's up to you to decide if you're a big fish or a little fish. We're not far off FM10 now, you can sign up in this thread here for Single Mode or you can register in the Team Mode section for Team VFM. You do need to confirm each team and once you're signed up to a team you are only allowed to be traded once via request to another team who may want you.

You can compete in both segments. Sign up for a VFM team and/or go it alone. Your call.

The winner of the sVFM - single VFM - will get the copy of FM11, whilst the winners of tVFM - team VFM - will get themselves an FM bag of goodies (don't ask me what they'll be, I have no idea). Due to various reasons, only the top 4 in the winning VFM team will get the FM goodies. So if you want the treats make sure you're the standout candidate from those who compete.

Ladies and gentleman - this is to be the best year yet :)

Dev feedback 2010

So thus far me and the Putzy have been pretty occupied with adding new features to LW and expanding the ideas and concepts we had last year.

Versus Football Manager

This year we're pleased to introduce Versus FM. It's been the one feature we've promised for about 5 months but we feel waiting has really benefited the project. It's a cross between LW's 09 challenger and VFM's team challenges. Right now we're only 50% released as TeamVFM isn't out until game day.

VFM is open and accepting all submissions. Simply navigate through the tab above and follow the instructions. You will notice there is some default data already online - that will be removed as VFM progresses.

LLM : Lower League Management

LLM management is a specific genre of FM game for a unique breed of manager. We're big fans of the LLM movement and as such are opening our doors to all LLaMa's and hope to encourage some of the LWbodies to try this special style of management.

It's too long to go into right now but the section is available and all the rules and directions regarding Lower League Management are available for you to read there.

There is some LLM influence in the VFM too for those of you who are LLM lovers already

--

FML : Football Manager Live

I myself recently tried the game as part of my FMFanboys blog. The experience changed my perspective and I managed to pursuade some of my cohorts to try it. They also love it and so we're opening a little area to chat about it.

We realise it's a niche market in the FM world - other sites trying to implement it have failed. We're not doing it for anything other than our love for the game, if you want to join in with that or try it out - you're more than welcome :)

--

FMW : Football Manager World

LW recently joined the most elite collection of international FM fansites by joining the FMW fansite club. We're representing the British contingent and as such have decided to place a link to all our new international friends on the navigation above.

We're partaking in a first ever international content share scheme with a ridculous number of rewards and potential ideas to really propel all FMW affiliates to the top of their respective pile.

With that said, feel free to browse the other sites and enjoy the new opportunities they will eventually present.

--

Extra tid-bits

There are a couple of new options for VFM you'll see them shortly. You can unlock trophies for your profile, there will be a points tracker and also a completion bar (coming very soon, coding it atm).

There is a few added options for your profiles and little things like that - but you'll find them yourself I'd imagine.

Skin changes and updates will be coming too. We have some tweaking to do over the course of the next two weeks. Minor changes, nothing radical.

AudiBalls! Podcast 22nd of this month also :w00t:

--

That' it from me. I'd like to take a moment to thank Mr Lewis Putz for his amazing effort this year. We've done a hell of a lot in a short time and there is absolutely no way I'd have been able to get this far without you and your hard work.

Big backhand for the rest of the team and their efforts and future efforts with the site too.

Above all, this is for you guys, the guests and the members. Enjoy Los Wonderkids this year and remember we're about having fun with the game, let's see that mentality across the board.

Oh, and we have a few other things in store down the line too, just to keep you on your toes.
