jim stjfc
i play a 532 with st johnstone in my 3rd season and im in the spl, to my surprise i have found that man marking opponents tightly out of the game works fantastically well for me like if the ai uses 442 my lcb & rcb man mark the 2 forwards, wing backs on the wingers, lcm & rcm on the 2 ai cm's, my free cm has a free role and my middle cb is played in sweeper position and mops things up most of the time this style has worked against all other ai formations in the spl bar 1 which would be motherwells 4321 which humiliated me somehow i just wondered has anyone else tried marking the opponents out the game and had success with it? i used to play 433 is a complete contrast in my style and haven't played 532 since fm 2006 with any success, and it worked when team morale was low as well
