Amazing Idea for January Transfer Update

Recommended Posts

What if we could pick up on January 1st without the January transfers (except maybe the ones announced before the new year such as Diarra/Huntaleaar to Madrid) and the league is the except same as it is in real life at that date. The fixture list is the same and injuries are the same as that point in time as well (such as Fabregas out until April and Walcott out until February). Your goal would be to do what the real managers are doing right now. For example, if you're Arsenal, your goal will be to go into the top 4--anything better is a bonus. If you're West Brom, you'll have to miraculously escape relegation. And if you're Liverpool, Barcelona, or Inter Milan, your goal will be to not blow the rest of your season and to stay at the top of your table. This feature would certainly give the game an extra dimension instead of taking your team at the start of the season to win the title, you would have to have to face the real life challenges the managers are facing in the January transfer window and for the rest of the season. You could have a lead to hold which would be like starting the normal game with everyone else on a negative goal difference, or you could be West Brom and have to make a league comeback which would feel like you're starting with a negative goal difference almost and way behind where you'd like to be. This would be a neat feature that I'd really like to see.
