OK, some perspective.

I'm playing FM on a phone, with a very entertaining 3D match engine.

Everything looks so crisp, it's a lovely experience.

Have to say I agree. There are a few frustrations with the ME but those are basically transported from the full fat game. To make a game as in depth and playable as this, with a really watchable match, on iPhone is a great achievement. Once you forgive the little niggles and accept nothing is perfect you start to really enjoy it.

for depth I would love it if the game saved past matches and you could watch a full match. I think team hierarchy would be a realistic addition.

but let’s be fair. Great effort on part of the developers. I’ve dropped playing Xbox version on my iPad and just play touch on iPhone.

I went to play console on tablet but it didn't look as nice.

- a deal breaker!

Being able to watch goals back would be a welcome addition.

Like you say, you have to decide to love it. Stay open and work with it.
