Ok I have decided to start again with this on FM23.

This time we will be starting at level 10 rather than level 14, so after back to back promotions
we jump up another 2 levels automatically

A great start as we hit five against Sandy.

We followed up with a big away win against Square.

A great start to our season with 2 big wins. despite losing several players, that will be covered in next update.

The great start continued as we win our first 6 games.

We lost a load of players, not anything we can do about that though.

5 goals, 5 different scorers as we make it 7 wins from 7.

We ease to victory in top of the table clash.

Tiago Coelho with a brace as we make it 9 wins in a row.

Wall takes the match ball as we make it 10 wins from 10.

We open up 8 point lead and surely cruising to promotion.

A Stockwood Derby and we come from behind to secure the win.

2-0 down after just 17 minutes our unbeaten record was under severe threat.
Luton Allstars do end our winning run and take a point after 2-2 draw.
 

We then had a trip to Sandy, a goal in each half saw us record a comfortable win.

On Boxing Day we were at home, a brace each for Coelho & French saw us beat Square.

We have a 9 point lead as we go into the new year.

Youth Intake Preview

New year, same Tiago with a hat-trick.

We were comfortable at half-time, the 2nd half was a bit drab but we did enough.

We score 5 again as Coelho & Wall net a brace each.

This proved to be a tricky away game, a red card made it trickier but 2 late goals saw us clinch the points.

This game was postponed twice before so it ended up being game 19 and our first defeat.

A 14 point lead with 7 games to go, close to clinching title now.

Butler Leaves Under 23's Role!

He has won 5 out of 5 since taking over.

We get back to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 win away to Lidlington.

Seriously Gus? It simply wasn't possible weeks ago you fool.

20 wins = 60pts, so even if we had taken max points it was only possible to clinch title now.

We score 5 again as Coelho & Wall net a brace each.

Promotion secured with five games remaining, now we need to clinch the Div 3 title

We clinched the title by winning the top of the table clash, despite ending with nine men.

Kavan Randell is the stand out player but others will also make our first team squad.
They will all make our squad stronger because we only have a first team squad as U23's & U18's are grey players.

The match was easy for the youths, proving that this first intake can only be good for us.

So it is no surprise that we signed all 16 players.

So after the youth intake, 7 players were involved in this game, 4 started and 3 came off the bench.

We lose a youth player already. (Don't know the 4 years rubbish is though)

£5 per week , seriously he's moved from Luton to Margate to get paid £5 per week???

Well that is a big blow.

(It's Margate's revenge, they are the team I renamed in FMC15 with my Stopsley Utd team )

Despite having a laugh I find this ridiculous, leaving for a team closer to us, somewhere in Herts, Beds or Bucks fair enough but moving home for £5 per week?

A very tough game as it looked like our winning run was going to come to an end.
It needed a great recovery to stay unbeaten but we completed the comeback to take all 3 points.

I might take this to FM23.

2 Reasons.....

1 - When I started this save I didn't intend buying FM23, Now that I have purchased FM23 it feels a bit silly to try and continue on FM21, especially as I am only a couple of seasons in.

2 - After 2 successive promotions we have been put into a division that isn't realistic, most of our matches will be against teams that are about 2hrs drive away, that is a bit much for the level we are at, especially with teams a lot closer that we should be playing.

Now that 2nd reason isn't  a big problem for a save on FM as it would still be interesting to play.

I have a database down to Level 10 on FM23, So leaning towards starting this again on that at that level, mainly for reason 1

So we secured another promotion by winning the division with ease.

That saw us promoted to..................

Letchworth is the closest to Luton all the others are 90 to 120 mins drive away, that kind of spoils things
in a realistic way as those distances are too far on a regular basis at this level.
 

I will now make the move to FM23 and set this club up on that, I will be using a database down to level 10,
so we automatically make a jump up 2 levels but tbh I think we would be making that progress with ease anyway.

I was a bit reluctant to make the move but then I found the same skin I have been using on FM21 for FM23 but it's better.

This screen was/is really big deal for me 

I just like to keep a screenshot of every match with details and line-up, so SI have let me down in recent years.

I had to take a couple and crop them together to get this........

That is ok and good for posts but it's just more work than it needs to be.

Even a basic screenshot like this from FMT20 was good enough.

I'm sure it might not bother a lot of players but for me it is a big deal, it's nice to be able to look back at past matches and see some key info.
Especially over a long save, taking screenshots of this is important if you want to look back at it, I am sure that after a few seasons you
can no longer view the screen in game anyway, just checked on FM15 and my game is in 2088/89 and I can't view some matches from 2084/85

I have set up 2 clubs in this game, Mawborough and Stopsley Utd.

I will be playing as Mawborough, Stopsley Utd replace MK Dons and I have added them for a bit of fun.
 

I recently started this > update/save <  but have since decided against it as I would prefer to focus on a youth save with Mawborough.

I am also really keen to return to my > FMC15 save <  at some point in the future.

 

Stopsley Utd have been set up with a rich benefactor and with £300m in the bank.

They also have the players and staff that I put together in the post linked above.

So now I will just sit back and see how they do in this save, while I manage Mawborough as my fictional manager...

So we are just under half way through the season and very much in contention for promotion.

We are currently 2nd after 19 games, just 1pt adrift of top spot.

January was a terrible month, the other months were perfect and near perfect, the draw with Lanford was points dropped as we were 2-0 up.

It's quite a battle in the race for promotion, no play-offs here, it's straight forward top 2 are promoted.

We finish our season a week before everybody else because of the odd numbers in the division.

So if we are in the top 2 it will be a nervy wait for us, unless we have a good/safe points advantage

We lost our top striker (Kasim) and number one keeper (Clare).

Our new players have arrived, all have been signed.

 Romaric Butcher & Sean Parke the 2 stand outs.
