How does Offside and heading work

Hello. I am not a expert in football. Could you help me understand how offside works when someone is heading the ball? I am playing football manager 20 and I had a (to me) odd situation. -Is a Header to another player considered a passing in the same way as if you pass the ball with the feet in relation to the offside rule?

A player passed the ball forward towards the strikers. The reciving player was on side and the other player was offside in this moment. and the replay did show this moment (in game). But the passing went to the player who was on side. 2. He received the ball on his head and passed it sideways to the other guy. If you freeze the moment he is heading the ball, both strikers are on side in that moment. So the game thinks its a pass from player A to C, and does not consider that player B did head the ball in between. Can you explain?

That happens quite a lot, it's a bug, report it, I also had an opposite defender passing to my striker who is alone in front of the keeper and then off-side was called, ridiculous I know.
