chumpmanager
When taking over a new club, instead of just the standard chat with the assistant with him suggesting meeting backroom staff and organising a friendly v reserves - it should be more like how the interviews work in-game. In most cases when a new manager arrives the assistant leaves and the manager brings his own man in. Not always though. The meeting with the assistant should be about his philosophy, his knowledge of the club or the players etc so you can make an informed decision on whether to keep him. Over and above just his attributes. Obviously the meeting would then go on to be the normal stuff about setting up responsibilities. For me, this would make it more realistic when taking over a new club.
