MikeyJ
So, It is the year 2133. World war twenty-seven has broken out, and football is still somehow going on. A new manager, under the name Zing Zong has risen, and is about to take his steps into the world of football management...
MikeyJ
Managerial Styles and Leagues being used. My managerial style is as follows; I have a focus in attacking, discipline and man management, with no coaching badges. These are the leagues I will currently be using. MikeyJ
Time to choose a job. I personally want to start in the depths of lower league English football, as I have not touched it yet so far on FM18. With a healthy range of jobs to choose from, I decided that Hayes and Yeading appealed to me the most? Why? F**k knows.
Jimbokav1971
Stop. You can't just start a career in 2133 without telling us how and why you have travelled forward 115 years! Come on. Spill the beans. What is going on? Who is where, who has won what? The big risers? The massive failers?
MikeyJ
Just now, Jimbokav1971 said: Stop. You can't just start a career in 2133 without telling us how and why you have travelled forward 115 years! Come on. Spill the beans. What is going on? Who is where, who has won what? The big risers? The massive failers? I was going to do this once I had found a job, but since you're eager I'll do it now I have travelled forward so far due to my complete addiction and somewhat lack of a social life. I would play a bit, then go on holiday, and then play a bit for a while, and then holiday for a bit longer. That is how I am so far forward Premier League: Sadly, no real big shocks. Man City, United, Spurs, Arsenal, and surprisingly Everton have been the dominant forces - With Everton being the best team in the world at one point (based on reputation) The Prem table currently looks like this: Swansea now currently sit in League , and have been Frequently dropping down into league 2. Burnley now sit near bottom of the championship, having dropped into League 1 for a short stay on multiple occasions. Championship, and other English league tables: It would take so long to write about these individually, so I will screenshot all the other English Leagues tables and show them here! MikeyJ
Woohoo, I got the job! I have an expectation of finishing mid table, and as we are out of all cups this season I do not need to worry about them I have a good transfer budget of 400k and wage budget of 6k. Squad: Strengths and weaknesses. This is my entire squad. Including youth teams. Yep, pretty much barebones. Thankfully I have a healthy transfer budget and wage budget, so I should be able to make some good signings. My only standout players are Duggan and Rees, and I am hoping that they can make an impact. Looks like I will have to delve into the transfer market soon. MikeyJ
The first few games in charge; testing the waters So, after 5 games of me being in charge, the results went like this; Dartford 1-0 Hayes Before this match, Dartford were 16th and Hayes were 17th. We had so many incredible chances to score, with about 3 of our shots going over from 5 yards out. The game was very evenly matched, and seemed it would fizz out into a draw before Dartford snatched a late goal. Hayes 4-0 Guernsey Guernsey faced a tough challenge when they faced my Hayes team. Boateng opened the scoring with a nice, calm finish. Then, for his second goal he latched on to Marsdens long ball and scored the 1 on 1. Guernsey had a couple of chances to score, in the form of free kicks but couldn’t make them count. The third goal came from a corner, when my man Boateng finished from close range. Boateng could have scored 7 or 8 goals this game, but he missed a lot of easy chances, including a penalty. Boateng then finally finished the scoring with another, easy close-range goal. Ebbsfleet 1-1 Hayes One of our greyed-out players had to be promoted for this fixture, turns out he has some decent potential too! Hayes got off to a flyer, after Deacon converted an amazing cross from Haynes. Ebbsfleet shorty replied, scoring from a corner. Both teams had some great chances to score, and I am more than happy with a draw. Hayes 1-0 Dorchester Another competitive fixture this one. Dorchester hitting a bump in the road, sitting one place behind us. Am early red card by Dorchester allowed us to go and dominate the game, as my big bloke Boateng hit the bar shortly after. We took the lead through Vokes in the 75th minute, after converting an amazing ball in from Bonner. Bognor Regis 3-6 Hayes A tough, well fought and entertaining game versus the league leaders. We took the lead early through Mardsens finish from a tight angle, before that man Bonner headed in our second. Bognor got 1 back in the 48th minute and started piling on the pressure. Despite that Boateng scored a 1 on 1 to make it 3-1 to us in the 57th minute. Instantly, Bognor replied, putting pressure on us once more. In the 65th minute we got a penalty and Bognor a yellow card after dragging Boateng down in the box, and Dauda-Ashong converts. Duggan makes it five from a beautiful free kick, and then Bognor come back with another instant reply. Boateng then scored another thanks to his rapid pace and clinical finishing, That means the table currently looks like this. When I took over we were 17th, we have now climbed to 12th! MikeyJ
First signing! Trying to get players to join this club is almost impossible. But we managed to get some average 23 year old on loan, who will be a good backup player.
MikeyJ
A short update; two more (disappointing) games. Our two recent results hinder our chance for the playoffs. Hayes 1-1 Maidenhead 1 minute in and we take the lead through Vokes, looks to be an easy game. We absolutely dominate until the 52nd minute, when we concede due to sloppy defending. The game fizzes out into a boring draw, but star man Duggan gets an injury that forces him off. Crawley 2-1 Hayes Our unbeaten run ends. We start brightly but concede a sloppy corner and Crawley score. We quickly bounce back and level it up, a great finish from Mardsen. Crawley score just before half time thanks to a failed offside trap. The game ends 2-
MikeyJ
Youth Candidates, 1st Intake! Oh and is this a good one. Many of the players look very solid, and look like they could have a very successful future at our club. Two such players are Joe Cooke and Robbie Tew. Joe Cooke looks like a very solid goalkeeper, with a three star ability already. Gavin Dunne also looks like a youngster with potential. The entire list of candidates looks like this. MikeyJ
The next few results. Playoff dreams are more or less over, we need to start getting ready for next season. Hayes 0-0 Farnborough Other than a disallowed goal for Hayes, nothing happens and there is little chances of either team. A bore draw. Joe Cooke, the 15-year-old, does great on his debut. We then acquired Martin Chambers from Barnet. A good-looking CAM who only cost me 10k. He can not play for me, as he has already played for two other teams this season. Didn’t realise this and I will have to survive without him. ☹ Dagenham 0-2 Hayes A boring start to the game, and Dagenham miss a penalty. Half time and its 0-0. I’m half asleep. Late on in the 82nd Minute, Loanee Birch scored a well-placed header. 92 minutes in we score again to wrap the game up. Slough 1-1 Hayes A tough match, Slough sit 6th before this game. A win could send us above Dagenham in 11th. Another extremely boring start to this game. Neither team creating much. Birch receives a red just 15 mins into the match. That doesn’t matter though, as Boateng latches on to a long ball from Brophy. Slough send a long ball up and my defence switch off. 1-1. Slough turn up the heat and eventually break through my ten men in the 65th minute to make it 2-1. Gutting. Bonner further reduced us to 9 men when he decided to get sent off. Somehow, we don’t concede again with 9 men. Looks to be like a mid-table finish!
MikeyJ
The end of the season! These final games end the first season with Hayes. (well, half season) We sign this bloke on a free from Crawley, seems decent. Canvey 1-3 Hayes. We took the lead early against Canvey, thanks to Boateng, and then he scored again just before half time to make it a comfortable 2-0 lead. Canvey came back with 1 and put pressure on but they were no match for might Boateng, who was the hat-trick hero. Hayes 2-1 Chippenham Bottom of the table Chippenham put in a brave performance as we only slighty narrowed them in a difficult contest. We deservedly won. Hayes 0-1 Maidstone A good attempt at keeping Maidstone quiet, gave a few fringe players a start as we could no longer win anything. Bath 3-0 Hayes Messed around with Tactics and bath punished us, a satisfactory performance and the result was unfair on us. Kingstonian 3-1 Hayes Played rubbish, was surprised we didn’t concede 7 or 8. Players didn’t put enough effort in, enough said really. Best Eleven For those of you that care, I was very surprised. Season Review Squad Dynamics: Nice to see a strong dressing room atmosphere Transfer and wage budget Thought this was very fair, hopefully we can make some quality signings. Stadium?!?!?!? Now this surprised me a lot – our 12% full stadium was about to be discarded, and a new one was about to come to town :o New Arrivals Here are the two fresh faces coming into Hayes - including the bloke from Crawley
MikeyJ
Going pro? In the VNS! Yep, Hayes and Yeading are going pro, baby! Meanwhile, I am going on a coaching course. We sign these guys for a few bob, you know, now that we are pro 😉 And we renew all of these lads contracts... Including me! And we release these guys; And finally, these squad dynamics look decent,
