D0bi
I've been wondering for a while what qualifies a performance to merit the statement in the title. I've had it a few times now as Real Madrid, often after seemingly having a better first-half stats wise. A couple recent examples are a 6-0 win against Elche where I scored 4 in the first half and 2 in the second, and another match, a friendly, where I scored 5 in the first half and 3 in the second half. Does anyone know what prompts this commentary note?
Things Could Get Messi
It always seems random to me except that you thrashed whoever you were playing. I have seen a number of games where we have battered the opposition in the 1st half, the game fizzled out after the break but we scored one and then got that commentary line. martinji
Yes I think the second-half specific commentary doesn't take into account whether the second half was better than the first, only whether the second half performance was strong. I've had the "they were a different team in the second half" line also when I did better in the first half.
