Albion Rover
In FM09, I have just won league 2 with Brighton. Had a really good season, despite the odd bit of complacency. Really proud of my achievement. I spent most of the summer making a list of players to buy when their contract runs out - you know, to have a better chance in league 1. Sold a few players too. However, July comes and the board announce that my wage bill is to be reduced by 12K - I was already just about breaking even, and now I am 12K over my budget. Not complaining about the game as I know it happens in real life too. Will need to sell a few more players. I just wonder if I have any chance of surviving in league one now, though, especially as 4 teams get relegated in that league. Ah well...
jayahr
Fm09 is a tad far away by now to say anything about that. But what are your finances like in general? Does the club need to cut spending? Interesting challenge anyway. Good luck for staying up
Albion Rover
Actually, yes, the club are a bit in the red, but we also got in a lot of money for league 1 TV rights, for winning the league, and those players we sold (they got us about 300,000 in total). also, i'd imagine league one will see higher gate receipts. Thanks for the good luck wishes - I'll need it Yeah, FM09 is a long time ago - i'll need to update to FM 12, or maybe 13 by next year
