Safe Hands Posted May 29, 2011 Share Posted May 29, 2011 I'm in my 4th season with Ipswich (2 in the Championship, 2 in the prem) and I find it near impossible to win away from home. My home form in the 4 years has been excellent but away from home is a diffrent story. 1st season in championship won 3 away out of 23, 2nd season 4 (went up winning 21 home games) 1st season in prem only 3 win (lost only 2 homes games and beat the champions Chelsea). Now in 4th season its worst than ever with just 2 wins. My team at the moment is probably 6th best in the league but even bottom of the league smash me away but I beat them 7-0 at home. I've tried everything in the 4th season, playing the same tactics, changing tactics and trying to keep it tight, different mentalitly, different match preparation nothing works. I give the tactics a good read but still now joy. So any tips on how you guys win away from home Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Coentrao Posted May 29, 2011 Share Posted May 29, 2011 Until i have a team that is a lot stronger than the rest of the league, i generally play with the counter strategy away, with some massive pace on the wings and upfront, i try to pack the midfield to disrupt play and use shouts like "clear ball to flanks" or "pass into space".
