Welcome to HitThePost.co.uk

We are a new and exciting football manager based forum.

We have been open for just around eight months now, and have nearly 45,000 posts and just under 500 members.

We have some exclusive content, and are hoping to add a lot more which is currrenty W.I.P over the next week or so.

***

We are also going to start a monthly competition to our members, with a prize attached, and we also run many other competitions for fun.

We hope to be a forum, and hope that at least give us a look, and a welcome to the scene.

We look forward to working with you, and hope to see you there soon :)

Any questions, feedback or thoughts are appreciated

Thanks,

Hit The Post Newsletter #2 Christmas Special!

It's almost time for Christmas but there is still a hell of a lot of stuff going on at Hit The Post this Christmas. This edition of the Newsletter will be slightly longer than usual due to the festivities that this time of the year brings!

This edition features:

The return of the Newsletter

Canham's Positional guides

Pring's Atletico guide

Extensive Scouting Network

RL12 Logo Production

FM Stories

Podcast

The Christmas Awards

Christmas

The Return of the Newsletter:

As you can probably see the Newsletter has returned to the site. We decided we wanted to do one at the Christmas period but we plan to bring it to you every week from the new year! We want to bring you the members straight up to date with all the top quality content on the site and all the goings on during the period. One big thing that you will notice is that we have scrapped the writers crew as it could put too much pressure on them to write and may cause people not in the writers crew to feel that they shouldn't write. Now we have a better feel and a great atmosphere. Enjoy your Christmas!

Pring wanted to highlight my positional guides for some reason. So I'll give you a brief overview of them. My guides so far have been on the Wing Backs and the defensive midfielder. In the guides I aim to show you the importance they can play and also highlight key advantages and disadvantages with the positions. I also aim to help you make the right choice about your formation. You can also request a specific guide by posting in here: http://www.hitthepost.co.uk/index.php?/topic/1975-tactical-guide-request-thread/

You can find the rest of my guides below:

Defensive Midfielder: http://www.hitthepost.co.uk/index.php?/topic/2471-the-defensive-midfielder/

Wing Backs: http://www.hitthepost.co.uk/index.php?/topic/2444-wing-backs-the-future-or-a-thing-of-the-future/

Next we have probably one of the best written team guides I have come across in my time and it was written by the mighty Pring. His Atletico Madrid guide goes in depth into everything you could need to know about the club. He includes the formation and goes onto to give some potential signings to help you out. The best thing about it is his Squad analysis it is a pleasure to read and a very well done pring and I hope you all read it soon! Link Below:

You must have seen out Extensive Scouting Network! Have you not? Well you better get over there right now and look for the next person you are going to buy. The Network has 4 different sections, Top-flight players (26 topics) , Wonderkids (109 topics), Free Agents (31 topics) and Other Divisions (7 topics). There are loads of guides to these players, it is just a case of finding the right one for you! So why don't you go and have a look right now, here: http://www.hitthepost.co.uk/index.php?/forum/113-scouting-network/

We've got some great writers on the forum but now it's the turn of the graphics makers, and look no further than andy_gtfc. He is currently working on the highlighted RL12 Logo's which are being made in mass production. I must say they are wonderful and I cannot wait until they are all done. They are slick , look top class in the game and are so kind on the eyes. He is currently working through alphabetically having done: Albania, Andora, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan and Belgium. We'd like to thank andy_gtfc for his hard work and like to wish him the best with the rest. His production thread can be found here, and they are well worth a look: http://www.hitthepost.co.uk/index.php?/topic/2413-rl12/

We now move on to our story writers and boy have we got some good stories out there. These are the FM12 Story writers. The first mention goes to a long serving member and a long serving career which has seen Mullen take on San Marino for club and Country, it is well worth a read if you haven't already. Next is one most of you know about and it's The Fields of Anfield Road by John Warrington. It goes to 30 pages of excellently presented and well written news articles including BBC and Sky Sports. Next is a favourite of mine by Niko, Bluebirds, Bluebirds, Bluebirds. He takes on the challenge of managing Cardiff but how does he get on? Find out yourself. Finally HTP FC the story is a career about all of us on here who signed up to see how far our individual player could get and it's well presented and a lot of effort has been put in by Pring! All of the mentioned stories deserve a read as well as all the others and they can be found in this forum:

http://www.hitthepost.co.uk/index.php?/forum/108-storybook/

The HTP Podcast is ran by Dan, SuperWhiteArmy and Canham. It's currently on hold whilst we sort out the timings over this busy period but after the new year we hope we can get it into a normal routine. You can follow all it's progress and listen to the first episode here: http://www.hitthepost.co.uk/index.php?/topic/2219-htp-special-podcast-first-edition/page__view__findpost__p__32979

Finally before we finish this, I and the whole of the HTP Staff and members would like to wish you all a very merry and safe Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A big thank you to Canham for helping us out with the production of the newsletter!

Merry Christmas all!

The message says "We have enjoyed some great times as a community, but due to the lack of progression, and posting, we have decided to call it a day."

I'm sorry to hear that. It's always a shame when fansite shuts down.
