Plus surely odds were not as wide as 7/1 Makes no difference to my point, the OP will only complain when these situations favour the other team not when they favour him. I've had this situation work both ways for me and I don't complain. There is always going to be inconsistency built into the game, because it is trying to model a group effort made by c. 25 human people which would naturally throw up many inconsistencies over time, including going from a 7-0 win to a 2-2 dray in a short space of time. Also there are going to be many changes to the two games in the OPs situation, weather variables, fitness, morale, complacency, tactics, I could keep going on if I wanted to.
