  • I can't tell which league sorting rule lost me the title

    So I apparently just lost out on the title to Gent on the last matchday, but I can't tell how.

    According to the league sorting rules, the first criterium is Half Point and the second is seeding. I should beat Gent on seeding because I was above them by multiple points at the end of the league stage.

    Next are games won, goal difference and goals scored. I again beat Gent in all of those.

    I also beat them on away record and away goals scored

    There is literally not a single league sorting rule where I don't beat Gent and yet they are champions

    The only things Gent beat me in are head-to-head and the amount of points they got in just the play-offs. But normally neither of those things should matter for the sorting...

    I uploaded a save after the last game and a save from right before the playoffs started. Let me know if a save from another point is needed.

    As far as I can see, the amount of points deducted made the difference.

    Genk got 36 (where it should be 35.5). Gent 33.

    When equal points are in order, the amount of points 0.5 is the first check.

    Leaving Gent would be 55 and Genk 54.5; Gent being champion.

    Yeah thought that was possibly it. Feel maybe the game should make it a bit more clear because you can't actually see those half points anywhere.

    Nolopola, do you have a save file prior to the final game? We've not been able to reproduce it from the save points you've given but we're still keen to look into it.

    I do yes (luckily, I deleted a bunch of saves recently but it looks like it just made it....)

    Ahh so turns out Moondog was correct, it was the half point that was the difference between winning the title or not. Its working as intended I'm afraid!
