  • [Player instructions] Inside Forward default instructions bugged

    Hey,

    I've noticed a very peculiar thing and I think it's a bug.

Comparing to previous FMs, Inside Forward (Support) now has a new default instruction: Get Further Forward. That makes his default instructions... equal to Inside Forward (Attack).

Now - of course - across different versions instructions have changed a few times, but - here's why I think it's a bug:

Unlike IF(A), it is possible to add Hold Position for IF (S)!, which is the only case Hold Position and Get Forward Forward are not mutually exclusive!

If you try to add either GFF or HP to any other role or position, automatically the other one will glow red. The new IF(S) preset is the only one where a player can be both instructed to get further forward and hold position.

Screenshots attached (proving both mutual exclusivity and the bugged IF(S) preset).

We're aware of this issue - Hold Position should not be selectable. :)

OK, but why have you added Get Further Forward for IF(S) when now there's no difference in instructions between him and IF(A)?

Inside forwards are as the name suggests - forwards, so they get further forward on both duties. This doesn't mean they play the same in match however.
