I was limited to 3 subs during CL qualifier, opponent made 5 subs

I meant to add that it did show that I had 5 subs available when the match started, but once I made the 3rd sub it changed to '0 subs available'

The 5 sub rule generally can only be made in 3 intervals e.g. you can't make 5 subs on 5 separate occasions. So you can do 3 subs, then 1 then 1, or 2 subs, then 2 subs, then 1 sub but never 1 then 1 then 1 etc...

Echoing what has been said above, it's 5 subs during 3 intervals.
