Player stuck in transfer to another club.

I have this exact same issue and I have uploaded a bug report and save game. I have a player who is at my club, is out of contract, is under a "bid", he had his work permit rejected and is now just stuck at my club.

Aye, just read your post about it. Pretty major bug then. It's giving me OCD having a player stuck in my team, that I literally can't do anything with.

I would have happily uploaded my save, but I already know you'll follow up with asking for a save file which is older, (which I don't have) so no point. Other people have also reported this problem. Find it hard to fathom how a bug like this could arise after decades of making FM. Sorry, but I'm a bit annoyed because this is the best ever save I've had going on an FM and this stuck player is bugging me (no pun intended).

Update: The issue resolved itself. Sheff Wed finally applied for the WP a full season later and the player is leaving in the next transfer window.

Aaaaand no it's deffo a bug.  He was meant to leave for Sheff on the 9/6/2026. Once that date had passed, the date due to leave part on the left side of screenshot, vanished and he's still stuck at my club...

Here's a screenshot from before the 9th. Clearly says he's transferring on 09/06/2026.  This is so annoying now. My OCD having this stuck player is putting me off playing it anymore...

Exact same thing has happened to me, Bella-Kotchap to Fulham. Has been stuck for 2 windows due to WP issues, can't offer a contract or release or cancel transfer

Any save game you can provide for this would be helpful with investigating further.

Any news on this? I got the oppsite. I signed a player, and its been 3 years waiting for the work permit (until now it's was ok, 'cause it's a young player who were developing. But now I want to use him). I can cancel the negotiation, but I wouldn't be able to sign him again, 'cause he gets mad for the transfer failure.

I signed him, WP was refused, I tried again, refused again and I clicked CANCEL, cause I didn't want to give him a CSE. And now it's stucked. Same happened to another player, but I canceled the transfer.

Hello, this issue should now be resolved after our latest game update.

However, a new save file will be needed for the change to take effect.
