Articles before clubs names

I think we need a latín american traduction, even if it has to be in neutral castillian. The spanish one is just not made for us, too many regionalism in it.

Is just Spanish from Spain and it defers vastly from the Castillian version speaked in Latin America. We know it's too much to ask for an argentinean translation (altough we really would love one) but at least a neutral spanish would be enough for all of us to avoid seeing terms we don't use, don't like or don't make sense for us, like the one OP posted.

The main problem is not the translation per se, just the articles before club names in South American teams. This is something that wasn’t a problem before FM23 feb patch.

In Spain, it’s common to say “El Barcelona” (meaning “The Barcelona”) but in latin countries like Argentina we just say “River, “Boca”, “Flamengo”…

If you look at the OP screenshot you’ll see “Contratado por EL Quilmes” instead of “Contratado por Quilmes”.

It’s just not realistic to read EL Boca or EL River.

Is not a problem in all Latin America. In Mexico, for example, we do use the article before the team name: el América, las Chivas, los Tigres.

Right. I think it's a problem just in South America.

It was always correct until last year. I started playing in FM2008 and these articles were not there for all this years until FM23.

I believe they've been in there since 1999

IBIZA: Contratado por EL Ibiza.

RIVER: Contratado por River.

RACING CLUB: Contratado por Racing Club.

No articles in South America. It’s just bad translation and it affects a proper experience.

Hi - we have checked this with internal teams and it is correct as-is

Once again, we need a Latin American translation. At this point, I'll do it myself for free.

Sure - we provide the English source text file with the game and this can be translated by the community and published through Steam workshop, there are a number of languages who do this

I'd like that, count me in, but can I get the Spanish version instead? it will be easier to translate as there would be just fixes for me to do, instead of the whole thing.

In the meantime, if you have a Netflix account, I would ask you to please check out Football Manager Mobile, where we have added a new latin american spanish translation

Ok. Yes, I have Netflix and installed it but I haven't played it yet bat a few minutes.
