SI Staff Nick Habershon Posted October 15, 2009 SI Staff Share Posted October 15, 2009 They should work fine as EDT files are version compatible. This isn't strictly true. A change to the way edt files are read in by the game would make them redundant straight away. However, I did bear in mind the amount of work the community put into making media and journalist packs for FM09 and left them largely the same as a result. The only change I have made is a minor one whiich is exchange REGION (e.g. UK & Ireland) to LOCAL_REGION (e.g. West Midlands) in the add_my_media_sources file. This is much more relevant to the regional sources that people want in the game. This is described at the top of the add_my_media_sources edt file that ships with the game in the data folder. So, in answer to your question, yes, FM 09 media packs will work in FM 2010 although people may wish to update the REGION field as outlined above for complete accuracy. The journalist edt file remains exactly the same.
