Dragging players

Looking for some quick help, whenever i try to drag players up into the starting 11 or subs, it selects the players i drag him through (as if i am holding shift or Ctrl or whatever). I am therefore unable to drag and drop players into my starting 11 I have to select them via the drop down menu (not possible for players who cant play that role). This has never been a problem before, only recently started. Is there a hidden setting either in FM or my PC i'm missing?

You're not doing anything wrong, I have the same problem on my laptop (desktop is fine) & afaik it is due to the UI being too exacting in where you release the drag & drop box, a level of precision that track pads are not that great at proving.

I am using a USB mouse and always have done, is there a way to fix it?

Never had a problem using a mouse, try having a play with the sensitivity settings.

Never seen that with a mouse before... I'd check your mouse settings first, and if nothing there, try deleting the preferences, skin cache, cache etc as outlined in the FAQ just to confirm it's nothing there.
