css_matt Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Right now, unless I am missing something, it seems like a very poor part of the game. You get the option to ask the board for more funds/wages but if they decline, that is it, you have no means of communication with them by which you can change there mind after that. If after a few days, you find an absolute gem, who could really change your season, on low wages & going cheap, there is still nothing you can do, as most of the time the option to ask the board about a big transfer isnt there & even if it is they usual dismiss the transfer altogether. What I do is subscribe to that player (don't shortlist them as this attracts attention of other clubs). Anytime the AI makes a bid I put in a colossal offer so that my offer is accepted and the AI's is rejected. Then I pull out of the deal before contract negotiations.
