Small question about scouting

Should i assign my scouts to scout both a country and a competition at once? Does it have any negative effects? Less reports for each assignment maybe?

Also, what happens if i assign a scout to a country, let's say England and a competition from another country like Portugal? In real life he would have to travel back and forth and scouting cost would be very high. I guess this is not the case in FM?

I know i could just try it out and see what happens but i'm scared of high scouting costs because my club is poor.

I'm not sure that travelling costs are included in our finances but if you assign your scout for more than one country or competition, he will list them. he won't try to do them all in the same time. when his first assignment is finished he will go on to the next one.
